An Education (2009)
The best of British
Where did this one come from. If all British films were this good we would not have to watch so much tosh that is coming out of Hollywood . A terrific storyline that many young people should take heed to.Carrey Mulligan is fantastic for such a young actress, showing great maturity in the way she portraits a young innocent and impressionable girl. As we usually expect, Alfred Molina is superb in the role of a money pinching Father who has not a clue what children feel especially girls at the age of 16.Peter Sarsgaard and Dominic Cooper are both commended for their supporting roles in this film. Peter is the older man who is womaniser who particularly likes younger women. Its a film you have to watch to enjoy. Please British film industry produce more of this good work.
Greedy (1994)
Wonderful Film
This has to be one of the funniest films that I personally have ever seen. Kirk Douglas is in his element playing the rich old man. The supporting cast are all expertly played with Fox particularly good. I wish todays films would come up to this standard. I script was extremely funny and well written exceeding most of the junk today. There are no swear words , and not needed either. it seems today that a film cannot be written without extensive use of the F word . and is used just to fill in the dialogue. Watch this film, you will seldom see better. Shame it takes old actors like Douglas at the age he was when the film was made to come up with the goods for us to watch something decent.
The Second Civil War (1997)
wonderful film
This is an excellent film wonderfully acted by all. Very very funny Beau Bridges is excellent and even dear Brian Keith as the General is extremely funny. The whole concept of of blocking borders of a state because of imigration is as up to date then as it is now. Its a great shame that films today are not of the quality onf films of yesteryear. Story lines and acting is much more superior than those junk movies of today. The use of the F word today seems must be included and jet the older films did not need it as the scripts were better. Lately i have been watching or rather erewatching these older films and the new are not a patch on them.
