Blonde (2022)
Amazing performance by Ana de Armas as Norma Jeane.
Amazing and even captivating performance by the gorgeous Ana de Armas. Despite Armas being born in a completely different time period, she matched the voice resemblance to Marilyn quite well, as well as matched her more obvious mannerisms.
I would recommend this film to anyone who is a fan of Monroe, or simply those who want to know more about the life of the most iconic blonde of all time.
Some have argued Scarlett Johansson or even Lady Gaga could have played the role equally as good, but I feel Armas more closely physically ressembles Monroe and is also a more fashionable choice for the role.
This movie definitely deserves a higher weighted average score on IMDb.
Lost in Space (2018)
Mina Sundwall shines as Penny Robinson.
Overall excellent series. I think the entire cast was a great fit for their respective roles. Molly Parker delivers a great Maureen Robinson, however, the real star of the show is Mina Sundwall as Penny. The writers were great at tying together each episode to facilitate binge watching multiple episodes. Disappointed that the series was ended after only 3 seasons.
The Bling Ring (2013)
Masterful performance by Emma Watson.
Masterful performance by Emma Watson, who imitated an American accent beautifully for the role of Nicki. I have rewatched her scenes and I have to admit the whole film does get a little slow at times, parsing through the characters personal lives and quirks. Watson's portrayal of 'Nicki' however, shines through as the real star of this movie.
The Widow (2019)
Amazing performance by Kate Beckinsale.
Kate Beckinsale shines in this film. Great performance.
Let's Make It Legal (1951)
Disappointing.
I had to sit through approximately 70 minutes of this 77 minute film for only like maybe 7 minutes total of Marilyn Monroe.
The View (1997)
One of the worst shows on television today.
The current show is truly terrible. The only former host that had any real sophistication and talent was Barbara Walters. The rest of the cast range from Whoppi Goldberg who is a high school dropout, to Jenny McCarthy who thinks vaccines cause autism. I honestly would not recommend this show to anyone.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)
Great modernization of a classic franchise.
I really enjoyed this movie despite it almost being ruined by Whoopi Goldberg's terrible acting. How does someone so awful keep getting cast in films. Thankfully her scenes are over quickly and Megan Fox performs wonderfully in one of her best roles thus far. The graphics of the turtles are amazing and definite eye candy.
