Un monstre à Paris (2011)
Sweet movie
At first, I felt unmoved by the beginning and wondered where the film was going to be heading - But I was not disappointed! The movie laid out a simplistic style, interesting characters and beautiful music. I thought the film was like a homage to France's most well-known singers, Vanessa Paradis (Lucille) and Mathieu Chedid (Francoeur)(in the french version that is) whom presented the vocals in a sweet, unique style. If you respect both singers then the movie would be understood. But I warn this is not child-friendly because most of the film is about love between adults and there is very little humour. But Francoeur, the flea-monster was a lovable, adorable character. (spoiler) But my only criticism would be that the action scenes were a bit to long and overwhelming.
