More anti white Hollywood

I walked out half way through. The absolute state of Hollywood and anti white movies today is incredible. They refer to us as "evil" throughout the movie

What happened to the days when we can go to the movies to get away from our troubles. But here I was sitting there being told I am evil just for being white

Imagine saying this about black people? Wouldn't be allowed but feel free to speak about white people any way you want

I highly recommend not going to watch this film if you don't want to be depressed

I'm sure plenty of blur hairs will cheer it on

It seems there is a growing accepted allowance of anti white TV shows... avoid this movie and let's vote with your wallet.

The Last of Us (2023– )

Above average (just about)

I am late to the last of us franchise having only played both games since December (and finished them both). Have to say I fell in love with the game, even no 2 and would even go to say they are a masterpiece in story telling and graphics though some of the characters in part 2 were brain dead boring (can't wait to see them in the tv show!)

This tv show was a huge "meh" , the sets and production quality are amazing and really give the feel the game gave off but the actors and actresses seemed all wrong

I just finished episode 2 and I think I'll leave it at that and I'm at my peak interest after just having completed both games .. I'm doing the whole listen to podcast and delve into different theories etc so I was very excited to see this show

The music from the game is legendary so why did it seem muted in the show , I bet new people to Last of us hardly noticed the iconic music

When the daughter was dying, you had to speak your ear to hear the music that "does all the heavy lifting" in the game according to the writer of the show....what a shame

Don't want to be mean but so far many of the actresses seem very B movie standard

People giving this 10/10....absolute nonsense.

Look at Fargo, season 1-3 amazing...season 4 just god awful. What happened? Same with this show. E we live in a world crippled by PC culture, everyone is afraid of being cancelled etc

The genius wit of this show has been replaced with sex jokes, empty forgettable crap

Sad to say but today's society isn't brave, so get used to rewatching old episodes of all your favourite shows cause comedy like we knew it is dying

Noticed it first when they stopped doing Apu in the Simpsons "cause it might be offensive"...what?? Yup and it's been in decline ever since

This movie had one or two funny moments but overall skip , and note to self don't ever support this guy going forward.

Took me a season to start enjoying it but once I was there, I fell in love. The writing , acting, world just rained over me

Highly recommend binge watching it

My only fault was the final episode

I was very sad as it seems to have tried wrapping it up to quickly. A show this powerful and full of emotions deserved it's final episode to feel right and I can't say this did

To much happened in one episode

But overall just fantastic show ... Thank you

Fantastic episode and season

Frank's rally talks are hilarious and frightfully true

Massive props to the writers for being brave here, very edgy season that seems to be lost on alot of people... Perhaps they are SJWs and they see how their ians "movement" shows how they aren't in fact making the world a better place, they are making it worse

i have always been a fan of this show and the fact that how on paper it makes no sense at all but it just works in a strange unique way. Everyone involved brings it all together and the gamble of this show pays of IMO

I'm glad to see it seems to be going deeper into the plot in this season

obviously with a show like this there are so many questions and sometimes it felt like they weren't being addressed, they seem to have up'd it a bit so far in season 3

For a while it seemed to be drifting along without much structure but at an entertaining rate

and in this episode the Anne Frank reference, well i nearly started clapping i was laughing so hard

love this show, its dark humor is right up my alley

and not knowing where its going

Love/Hate (2010–2014)

Needs world wide release- Excellent show

Shows like this and Underbelly in Australia need to get world recognition,

I only discovered Underbelly travelling through Australia and its up there with Sopranos standard wise

This show Love/Hate is absolutely gripping from start to finish. Every actor shines and the plot is fantastic.

Its a take on the criminal underworld in Dublin and its quite terrifying.

Must watch and hopefully it gets seen by people oustside of just Ireland

A must watch for anyone that has ever laughed

From reading forums over the years many times I've seen people write "OMG LOL I just spat coffee all over the monitor". Now how many of those times has it been genuine i guess ill never know (though i am on a mission to find out). However during one episode i mistakenly got cocky and decided to gamble eating a dinner while watching....i lost

As i took a sip of my refreshment i ended up with a face full of soda pop, a beef lasagna now fit for the bin yet i still couldn't stop laughing even when drying myself down.

So with this review , yes it is a review, coming to an end, all i can say is so far this is the only show that made me laugh so hard so constantly.

David Cross is a genius and the whole cast was superb but with season 1 being the better of the 2 but Jsssh comedy gold

Lost (2004–2010)

If i could have a flash in time i wouldn't watch

Watched the whole show in 3 weeks and no its not worth it. The shows story wreaks of writers getting too caught up in the shows attention and having no control of where the story was going.

The show takes such a "jump of faith" it needed to have its plot finalized before shooting. ***

I constantly felt annoyed watching this as it became obvious the writers were just dragging things out (which leaves a bad taste plot wise) just to make it longer and more "out there"

Sadly the show thinks its more than it actually is

***EDIT having read others reviews Im only learning now the writers knew how the show would end as far back as season 2 with no plan for 6 seasons , my point still stands, probably even more so that the writers and more so the show should have known when the show needed to be over and not have 40+ filler episodes for money alone...so sad

Misfits (2009–2013)

Fantastic show, but Robert Sheehan leaving was its demise

One of the most gripping shows I've watched in years, though i can see why people are quick to point out the similarities to shows like Heroes, its very far removed. The characters are a lot darker and proud of it which brings a completely different show to the viewer than just a Superhero like show.

What i feel obliged to complain about is series 3, it crashes, the whole feel of the show, and the direction it was going so strongly in just vanishes and i felt like i was watching a completely different TV show. Robert Sheehan leaving proves too much for this show. Whoever cast "the new guy" should have their CV reviewed. He's a polar opposite of who he was replacing and i could not connect with him. very bad choice of actor imo and the new writers should hang their heads in shame

I have watched the first 2 series in the last week and now i could care less about what happens to everyone. I never seen a show drop so far so quick. Sorry about the rant but i had so much faith in the show and where it was going and now i hope it ends before they destroy all the goodness it once had

As the other reviewer has mentioned it may not be for people outside of the UKs taste, well i agree. Being from Ireland i must admit if I hadnt heard about this show and was flicking through the channels i more than likely would have kept going, but I am so glad i didn't give up on it as it is one of my favourite shows right now.

Each character is hilarious in their own way and each episode has a great plot where you genuinely want to know what happens, considering the show is 90% in a phone shop (obv) I was happily surprised by this.

The first episode i struggled with but after that it was top notch entertainment

A brilliant show and one that hopefully has a few more seasons in it!
