Reboot (2022)

Cancelled...why???

This is a great little show with abundant laughs. Why would they cancel it? All the characters are funny in their own peculiar ways and I would say have much more to offer in terms of their back stories and also to keep the story moving forward.

Its a great balance of old sitcom charm and new age attention spans. Johnny Knoxville and Kegan Michael Key are the stars for me. That's not to say the other characters aren't great. They all are and work amazingly well together.

I really hope another network picks them, it would be totally worth it.

Please please don't cancel this show, I love it and am hoping, wishing for it to return.

This is, neh was one of my favourite shows. It used to be dark, edgy, unpredictable and shocking it the best ways possible. The last 2 seasons look like they've been made for children and with an appeal to mass media. Gone are the great characters both heroes and villains. Even the characters that used to be great have been reduced to soap opera versions of themselves.

How could they think this passable?? It is smack in the face long term fans and the show's original creators & showrunners. Creating the Commonwealth angle was the worst things you could have done. It doesn't fit the show at all. I'm only watching now because i'm a die hard fan and it pains me to think that my memory of this show is going to be sullied by what was happened to it in its final offing.

I was so looking forward to how out of the box and crazy the show might get but now have no hope left for it. Even the movies that were being planned excited me but now I beg you please do not continue with the existing team. If the people who were at the beginning can be brought back then great otherwise please don't further spoil this for the fans.

Goodbye (you have no idea how sad this had made me)

Kanan Gill: Keep It Real (2017 TV Special)

Smart, funny, universal - One to watch out for!

Now over the last 5-6 years we in India have seen an exponential rise of stand up comics. A lot of them have been good but each brings with themselves some baggage that does not translate universally.

We have seen comics from outfits like AIB & EIC take to stand up along with a lot of the other individual like Biswa Kalyan Rath, Kenny Sebastion, Abish Matthews, etc. But none of their stand up shows really hit the mark. Don't get me wrong - they were funny but just not great funny. They all had parts of their shows that weren't funny because they were either cringe worthy, awkward, not delivered well or they were too regional.

Kanan's show though having some issues was excellent. He is the first Indian comic(besides Vir das) whose show was sublime. His entire show is relatable, his delivery is excellent and I spent most of the show totally impressed with the way he handled himself.

Kanan could have done without the encore joke - which was just nasty and cringe worthy.

An extremely well written and well thought out show. I left the show thinking this show can be up there with the great stand up comedy shows from Hollywood comics.

Looking forward to see more from him.

Now You See Me 2 (2016)

Extended Episode of Scorpion!

This movie felt like an extended episode of Scorpion.

The same contrived humour and feel good unnecessaries.

Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci have bombarded us with this absolutely unoriginal piece of garbage.

Mark Ruffalo & Jesse Eisenberg have really dropped their standards here. This totally seems like a forced studio movie which they were contractually obliged to do.

There is maybe 20 minutes of this movie that should have made it to the final cut and even this is mainly special effects. But with a run time of 2 hours this was a pain to watch.

The story really went no where and left you thinking -- seriously?

Have no idea how it is at such a high rating on IMDb.

Somethin to look forward to!!

This is a brilliantly made documentary, well worth the time. I would like to add here that I am very excited for this genre of film-making as over the last couple of years I have seen some amazing documentaries like Man on Wire, Cocaine Cowboys, The Two Escobars,Ancient Aliens, BBC's Life/Planet Earth/Human Planet etc. These movies keep you glued to your seat and without ever a dull or boring moment.

That said documentaries are only going to get better as over the last 20-30 years we have been amassing more and more footage from everything like the telecasts, personal recording devices, etc.(especially in the sporting arena). Can't wait!!!!
