What If...?: What If... T'Challa Became a Star-Lord? (2021)
But why?
The entire episode is a big joke. From the fan trying to arrest star lord to the extremely strange Thanos scenes. It's like they took this whole episode to make fun of the movies they made. But why make fun of them? Terrible.
Love Hard (2021)
It's a parody
Anyone who thought this was cute is ridiculous. This is a parody of what people find ridiculous about rom coms. This was created to be extremely ridiculous and make fun of those types of movies.
How does anyone not see that.
I gave it a 5 because the parody aspect was great but people like it and that's bad .
The Kissing Booth 2 (2020)
10/10 for Bieber joke
Love the Bieber joke. Love seeing all the mad Bieberettes lol. It's not a good movie but lol Bieber
The Circle (2020)
First handful are great
The show was great through episode 8 or so but when they allowed two people together into the show through some garbage loophole they lost me. It doesn't help that both of them were such awful characters but that absolutely should not have been allowed. I hope the show fixes that next season.
Ocean's Eight (2018)
"This movie is amazing"- a feminist
A feminist told me this movie is amazing. For the most part many of these oceans movies are just silly overall and this one was the worst. Feminist movies try and dumb down men but end up dumbing down themselves because the movie is awful. Good try lol
The Twilight Zone: The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street (1960)
Worst episode I've seen
I'm a little bit behind the times. I've seen episodes before, but not many. Now that I have Netflix, this was at the top of my list of shows to watch and I absolutely love it. I check the ratings of the episodes before I watched them so after watching an amazing episode "Mirror Image" which only has an 8 I figured I was in for a treat with this episode. I was wrong. I just can't believe people are as senseless as they were portrayed here. One moment they're blowing off the kid's fictional story and 5 seconds later every single one of them has hopped on the bandwagon. It's just not possible. People are dumb, but no where near that dumb. I can't imagine everyone in the neighborhood being without any sort of sense to try and talk some into these people. And at the end the aliens said there was nothing special about this neighborhood and that they all behave this way. It's ridiculous and a truly insulting episode to our intelligence.
It's a fantastic idea and if well executed it could be phenomenal if given a little more time and some better writing.
Shadow of a Doubt (1943)
All in all, It is a good film
I was hooked from the beginning when I read the plot, and the movie was built up well. Boy, I'm never good at pointing out the good things in the review.
I just feel disappointed with the main character, Charlie. She is supposed to be the smartest girl from her school, but she makes countless stupid decisions. She is the definition of really book smart with absolutely no street smarts whatsoever. How many attempted murders does it take before you learn? He tries killing her by rigging the stairs to break and she realizes this, but she still runs right into the garage when the car is running even though she is perfectly aware that A) someone is trying to kill her and B) The door to the garage closes and locks on its own. But guess what! She decides to take a nice little stroll around the city at night with Charles following her around. But the worst of everything is stepping foot on that train. He's tried to kill you multiple times already. Use your brain! My other problem is the way she figured out that he was bad. Early in the movie, you could see how smart she was because she was putting some odd pieces together and realizing that something was not quite right. I wish the detectives had not come around so she could continue to piece this odd mystery together without their useless help. It would have made it a much better movie, in my honest opinion.
After all these bad things, you must think I'm rating this a 1, but it is a good movie, but it could have been GREAT!
Iron Man Three (2013)
So so disappointing
I can't believe I'm actually giving this movie a 4. After seeing the first trailer a few months ago I was stoked. It looked great and this movie has the best villain in the Iron Man universe and Ben Kingsley playing him. What could go wrong? Well, a lot did. The director Shane Black is not who I would have chosen. He just seemed like an odd choice. The music from the beginning of the movie didn't work, the flashback at the beginning seemed odd.
Throughout the movie, they brought in witty one line humor one by one that made it feel more like a cheap action comedy than an Iron Man film. The PTSD problems were annoying. I'm still wondering why Rebecca Hall and Don Cheadle were in the movie. Their parts were pointless. Other parts like the suit needing to be recharged for days before being able to be used again, the truck destroying his suit, and the "cripple fire people" rendering the suit unusable with a single touch were just laughable.
The worst parts though were the twist with the Mandarin. Like I said, he is the best villain of Iron Man and they had an Oscar winner playing him. Why didn't Black leave him alone, give him his 10 rings of magical power and let Kingsley show us his acting magic?
Nobody ever explained to us about the crippled fire people, and even if they had I probably would have missed it being as outraged as I was. And then the end of the movie. Iron Man was barely in his suit as it was and then we get to see more of the dumb robots instead of what we paid to see.....THE ONE AND ONLY TONY STARK AS IRON MAN!
Then, the part where Pepper is in danger and Tony is telling Jarvis he needs a suit. There are a bunch of suits flying around and the boss of them all needs one and none come and pepper falls. 2 things could have possible happened. 1- Jarvis gets Tony a suit and he rescues Pepper or 2- one of the robots rescues Pepper, but no, 3 happened and Pepper fell just out of Tony's grasp making me shake my head.
Then the worst scene of the movie when Pepper turns into a super hero and does this cool ninja jump to destroy the suit trying to kill her and then magically uses the iron man suit to kill Killian. This was an Iron Man movie. Pepper saving the day had to be the most dumb idea ever.
The last 5 minutes made me hate the movie more. Tony has surgery to remove the shrapnel. If this was an option, why didn't it happen in the first film? Why did this even happen at all!? And then pepper has the magical surgery that got rid of her super powers. How? I do not know. And Tony destroys all his suits and gives all his toys to the boy.
Only good parts of the movie were saving the passengers from the plane (again though, Tony Stark was using a robot) and the credits at the end were pretty cool with the scenes from past films.
This may feel like a lot of rambling but I'm not happy still, 3 weeks later.
Revolution (2012)
Can't stand people that write reviews after the pilot episode
I have watched every episode so far and I hate that I am writing a review now because it is way too early, but I feel that I need to write this because of the idiots that quit watching after one episode. The first two episodes were difficult to love, but pilots often are not amazing. I think they could have done a better job with the pilot instead of jumping to 10 years after the power outage, but I am glad that the show is turning itself around. Since the first two episodes, I have really enjoyed the show. I was a big Lost fan and I have been waiting for a show to replace it. The Event was good but canceled, Terra nova was bad and now we have Revolution which I think may end up going for a few seasons if people would just give it a chance. So far I find myself involved in the show. Give it a chance. I rarely find myself giving up on a show after only a few episodes.
The Last Airbender (2010)
So So Bad
If they had only said screw you to the cartoon and made this a PG-13 movie and made the lead actor a lot older and all the supporting actors. If this was PG-13 with better fighting and special effects, this could have been as good as Lord of the Rings. Also get some actors that people have heard of. I have not seen worse acting in my life. It also tried to go too closely with the cartoon. They skipped so much of it that the movie was pretty much a summary. The idea of element benders is just so cool that this could have been amazing. Please reboot franchise, and by reboot, I really mean start over with only the idea of benders. Ditch everything else and this could be such a good franchise!
