Law Abiding Citizen (2009)

Ridiculously overrated

At the time of writing this review, this movie has a 7.4 score. This is not a 7.4 movie at all! It's clearly below 7, maybe 6.5. Yeah, a bit entertaining sometimes, but not much more. The story is completely made up and very hard to believe, too violent for the sake of violence only, and the ending just poor.

A lot more work would be needed for this movie to be a good movie. Perhaps the basic idea is all right but needs too much development at the current state.

There are other similar movies in the genre that do this so much better that's why this low review.

A rating above 7 should be left to much better movies.

Pipa (2022)

OK for being from Argentina and showing nice landscapes

OK movie to pass the time. Credits for being from Argentina and showing nice landscapes, but yeah, story is lacking and acting is mediocre. Passes the time though.

The Lion King (2019)

Negative reviewers are missing the point

This is a remake of the original 1994 animated movie, with everything pretty much identical line by line except that it's done with realistic 3D animation.

Of course this movie on its own would be meaningless, the point is just to show what you can achieve with the latest technology in terms of showing the original story as if it was with real animals.

It will never have the same impact as the original, since for that you need animated characters, not realistic ones. These characters don't laugh or show many facial emotions, of course, they are realistic animals.

This movie is geared towards an adult audience who has probably seen the original and wants to see what it's possible with the latest technology. It's an interesting and entertaining movie, but yeah, it cannot be compared to the original as an independent movie, it's just a tribute to it or a different perspective to the same story.

The Invisible Guest (2016)

Completely over-rated

The plot is full of holes and things that don't make any sense, I won't go into details not to spoil it, it's has been explained in other reviews already.

The movie could be a 6 maybe, it's relatively entertaining but the story really doesn't hold. Can't believe it's got 8.1 rating at the moment, that's rating left for the very best movies only, masterpieces. This is just an all right movie, there are loads of much better Spanish movies with much lower scores.

All Hail (2022)

Nice light hearted movie

Nice light hearted easy watching movie. Quite catching actually. And shows some Argentinian culture, landscapes and Buenos Aires city. Recommended for someone looking for an entertaining movie.
