The Bourne Legacy (2012)
The Bourne Movies should have ended with Ultimatum
At first I didn't think I would like this movie when I saw the trailer for the first time. Then I continued to see the trailer in other movies I went to see and I thought OK, maybe I will go see this.
Thankfully I did not pay to see this. My friends won passes so we were able to go see it. My friend Meka summed it up best "At least it was free because I wouldn't even go see it for $1"
This movie took too much time to get things started and then when it got started it ended. They jumped around too much and tried to fit too much of the 3rd movie while trying to show something different in this one.
The was not enough action and it just fell flat and doesn't even feel like it should be in the Bourne franchise. Save your money and wait to see this one.
Dorothy and the Witches of Oz (2011)
You wanna Root for the Wicked Witch
When I found out about this movie I was only going to see it because the wrestler Al Snow was in it as the Gnome King. I was extremely happy that the movie was phenomenal! My friend and I were lucky to have been able to meet Eliza Swenson and Barry Ratcliffe as well as the director Lee Scott. This movie is completely different and better than Wizard of Oz. There are surprises you don't see coming and it has such a great cast. In the end my friend and I were rooting for the wicked witch of the west because of how awesome! This is a must see and must own for any Oz fan. There is a great cast and the special effects are memorizing. This movie proves you don't need a major studio behind you to make an amazing movie!
Red Riding Hood (2011)
A Movie that kept my Mother guessing and awake
When Red Riding Hood came to our local budget theater my friend and I immediately went to see it. (Just cause we saw it at a budget doesn't mean we thought less of the movie). It kept me guess as to who the wolf could be. I ran into friends of mine who were at the tether to see Red Riding Hood (they a picky movie buffs) and I told them the wolf is not who you suspect.
I just received the movie as a birthday gift and immediately watched it with my mom. 9 times out of 10 if a movie doesn't keep my mother's attention she will fall asleep. This movie did not do that to her. Like my friends and myself it kept her guessing as to who the wolf might be and kept shocking her as to the villagers secrets. Don't let nay sayers keep you from seeing this movie it is a great mysterious thriller.
The Help (2011)
A Movie Worthy Of Oscars
When Oscar time comes around very few of the movies that I actually watch get nominated for awards (thus why there are award shows for thoses movies like Harry Potter and Twilight).
Most of the time the movies nominated for best picture I would care less to see, however, this movie is defantly one that grabbed my attention from the start and defantly deserves Oscar and Golden Globe Gold. Not just for best picture but for best actress and supporting actress.
Very touching story that allows you to connect to many different characters. This is a movie that I will be seeing again and buy when it comes out.
