The Artifice Girl (2022)
Damn perfect 3 act play.
This movie is about emerging AI and how exponentially act over the corse of an individual's life. This was not the same as Swordfish or some crappy movie about tech. This was a 3 act play about the emergence of super intelligence and how humans deal with it.
I'm a retired systems and software architect and spend most of my days working on generalized intelligence. We will always be stuck on one part of it which is Should we do it as opposed to Can we do it.
This was a great look at Should we do it. This philosophical view of AI is something everyone of us should see. Cherry is something we should all want. An AI that goes after predators and child molesters, but it was so much more of a discussion of AI itself.
The Orville: Deflectors (2019)
I thought that was Bruce Willis
Overall it was a great episode about reverse bigotry. It was very sad that an ex boyfriend of Bortus was sad on its own. Locar seemed like a very decent person, just sad for not having a relationship with Bortus. Plus he was attracted to the Xeyalan. It would be nice if we get more seasons of the show that they could focus even more on the personal relationships as they are already working on. I love the early comedic episodes of the show but I really like the more serious tones they are taking. This has to be one of the best shows on TV right now. I love Seth's humor, but I Love that it's not Family Guy humor.
The X Files: Drive (1998)
Vince Gillian expertise
Any Gillian episode of X-Files were always some of my favorites. This episode also showed Vince how much of a range Cranston had and directly led to him fighting for Bryan on Breaking Bad.
This was a very simple episode with no real supernatural aspect to it. It is mostly just Mulder and Cranston's character driving west to try and keep his head from exploding. It is also one of the most affecting episode of the show. The ending is predictable, but that was never the point of the episode. The point was the vulnerability of two guys in a very personal way. Well worth a watch even years later. Vince Gillian at his finest.
The Gray Man (2022)
Fun action movie
Let's be clear, this won't win picture of the year, but it was a fun summer action picture. A lot of guns and fighting but also had funny moments as well. It was also fun to see Chris Evans as a sociopathic villain too. All in all, a fun movie to watch.
Person of Interest (2011)
Of course I agree with everyone
But the only thing I would add is why did everyone forget about Bear? The beautiful belgian malinois?
