Copshop (2021)
It's watchable
If it didn't star Butler and Grillo I probably wouldn't have even watched it to start with. It isn't anything too unique but, it has enough action and enough of a story line to make it worth watching. 5.5/10.
Dune (2021)
Finally!!! Worth the wait.
Finally, a big budget film that's actually lived up to the hype. Dune is a 2.5hr long, slow, burn space opera so, if you don't love Sci-fi, this movie probably isn't for you. Timothèe Chamalet is amazing in the lead role and the visual effects are quite amazing. I rated it 10/10 but in saying that, it won't be for everyone.
See (2019)
Can it get any better? Hell YESSS
Season 1 was brilliant in so many ways. From the cast members and their betrayal of their characters, to the storyline and cinematography. The only thing I personally felt lacking was a little more action, for that reason I originally rated it 9/10.... Nearly 2 years on, enter Episode 1 Season 2. That action I felt was lacking, Wowww was it delivered!!!. This did not take away from what made this show amazing before, if anything it took it to the next level.
See: Brothers and Sisters (2021)
Season 2 goes BANG!!!
Wowww!!!! Now that's how you kick off a 2nd season. Baba Voss = Savage.
Loki (2021)
Marvel delivers!!!
Wowwww just Wowwww.
When you think Marvel can't possibly get any better they give us Loki. I've only watched the 1st episode but that episode was next level. From the storyline to the acting everything is on point. Even when you think, what is Owen Wilson doing in a Marvel production, he nails his character magnificently. 10/10 so far Marvel.
Them (2021)
CAT IN A BAG
Damnnn, the words "Cat In a Bag" will forever torment me for the rest of my life.
WandaVision (2021)
Marvel produces a Marvel.
The first few episodes will have Millennials neither loving or understanding what Marvel has created with WandaVision. True Marvel lovers embrace the Marvel brilliance and clinge to each carefully constructed scene as Wanda's story unfolds. By the final couple episodes the true excellence of Marvel really shines and WandaVision becomes absolutely magical. Starts as a 7/10 but definitely finishes as a 10/10
Dark (2017)
MUST WATCH
"DARK" is 1 of, if not the best T.V series I have ever watched. If you are going to watch this series, you must commit 100% of your attention to each and every minute. If you can't do that, don't bother watching it because you'll be well and truly lost by season 3. This is a Must Watch for those who really enjoy T.V and film.
American Gods (2017)
Yes Season 2 wasn't amazing.
People that loved season 1 and hated season 2, so they gave the show a 1 or 2 are pathetic. I agree season 2 wasn't the greatest but, it wasnt that shockingly bad to change votes from 8s and 9s to 1s and 2s.
Altered Carbon (2018)
Only watch season 1
Absolutely loved this series after watching season 1. It was 1 of them series, you get to the end of the last episode and immediately start searching if, and when the next season will be released. A year goes by, and finally the much anticipated 2nd season arrives. Immediately, all the thrill and excitement that once filled you, begins to vanquish. The main actor that plays Kovac has changed. Although the storyline allows for this to be possible, the personality and charisma should remain the same but, that it did not. Watching the new actor play Kovac was like watching a completely new character with just the same name.
Fantasy Island (2020)
It's not often you find a movie this bad.
I rarely ever rate a movie below a 5/10 but, this movie was shockingly horrible. Seriously don't waste your time please.
Watchmen (2019)
Not what you expect but, enjoyable none the less.
Many people waited in inticipation for this series to be aired, thinking it would mimic that of the movie that it shares its title. Unfortunately after watching the 1st episode, many of them would have been disappointed in what they had just watched. Many may not have even gone on to watch episode 2. Well how silly are they?. With each episode the story just gets better and better. By half way through, all those people that stopped watching after episode 1, will never know what an awesome series they've missed out on. As the story unfolds, the viewers begin to see the connection it has with the movie and by the final 3 episodes, you've been given exactly what you wanted and much more.
Doom Patrol (2019)
Looks like it's going to be awesome!!!
Stumbled across Doom Patrol whilst on IMBD the other day, initially I thought what's the chance it will compare to all that came before it. Initially, I was surprised so many reviewers gave it a 10/10 after episode 1. It was unique and very different to all other super hero series/movies but, I didn't find myself encaptuated by it's characters and storyline. I now just finished watching episode 3 and that has definitely changed. I now hang for a new episode each week. The storyline isn't like anything else in the super hero genre and the characters are definitely in a league of their own when it comes to their powers. I've now finished watching the entire season and, it sits above all else in the super hero category for me.
The Hate U Give (2018)
Could have been better.
So just because you don't give a movie a 10/10 like other reviews that love the film think it is, they give a 👎. Personally I think this movie does a horrible job about getting its BLM message across and at times leads it viewers on a senseless adventure in thinking the BLM movement is about individual hate crimes. 1 individual or 1 instance of racial hatred will never create real change. Change comes when the individuals motives are no longer driven by their own motives but their desire to fight for the true cause.
Requiem for a Dream (2000)
Waste of time.
If it actually had a story line it would have been half decent. Waste of my time.
The Expanse (2015)
Syfy doesn't get much better.
As many of the more recent reviews have written "The Expanse" takes several episodes to actually get going, but I promise you once you get towards the end of season 1 you will be glad you perservered. By season 2 you will well and truly be rating this show a 9 or 10. The characters are unique and everyone will find 1 or 2 that they absolutely love, my favourites are Amos, Alex and detective Miller. Once I started on season 3, I couldnt get enough of it. By the end of season 3 I was googling to see if a season 4 would be made. I really, really recommended no matter how much you dont like the first 5 or 6 episodes you just push thru, you will thank me.
Maniac (2018)
Maniac
An enchanting fictional story, that has a deeper hidden truth buried within. While watching this psychological roller coaster, you find yourself being emotionally drawn in by the 2 main characters (Stone and Hill). They are both at their absolute best. The story is often erratic, and is filled with kooky and bizarre scenes, which you may leave you confused at times, but everything has its reason.
