La mujer de a seis litros (1967)
Three short movies
Three short films and the last of them is the best, about how some kind of swindlers of course abuse and exploits the religious believes of catholic's fanatics. The performance of Hector Lechuga and Guillermo Rivas is superb. This movie like a lot of Mexican films with low budget is one of the better made in real places with real people in a classic "peregrinaciones" (religious parades)and beautiful catholic churches, all this things make the audience feel in a supernatural atmosphere with "brujos" sorcerers (Jose Chavez)and magic medicine using urine therapy. I enjoyed this movie and if you can get it I am sure you do too.
La strada (1954)
Unforgettable film
This is one of the best films I ever seen, of course the performance of the actors (Quinn Basehart and Masina) is superb, with a lot of emotions and reality, things like love no matter what (a woman mistreated)seems strange but a lot of people live situations like this. For me this a real performance without a lot of paraphernalia of special effects of modern cinema, just feelings sometimes crude scenes a murder without intention and the guilty feeling of Zampano just showing the real human nature with mistakes, remorse, pity, love and tragedy in an very weird environment. This film always will be unforgettable.
