Instant Dream Home: Baby on Board (2022)
That poor grandmother
So wait, the house technically belongs to the blind woman, and you all made a bunch of changes she probably would not have liked. The interior color was so much nicer before, now it is dark and will feel cramped.
Why didn't they put a railing on the back porch? That is an accident waiting to happen.
That weird built thing for the kitchen is terrible, but then they had to fit in the drama, even with their weird (backsplash?) lol which wasn't even necessary.
The space for the baby is way too small, they are only going to be able to live there for another year tops, then grandma has a regular closet I guess?
Im Westen nichts Neues (2022)
Incredible
No spoilers
This movie was so intense. The music score was really good at setting a daunting feeling.
The primary actor was incredible. You forget that he's acting. Absolutely Oscar worthy performance.
I would give this more stars if I could. I was stunned during most of the film.
This movie is an intimate and unique perspective of the life of a soldier during world war 1. The highs and the lows are so incredible. I cried more than I smiled or laughed and it made me hate eat even more, especially what it does to people. Politicians and others who aren't even involved on the battlefield making the decisions. It's awful. This movie is not.. It was so well done.
The Santa Clauses (2022)
Painful to watch
The storyline deviates from the original premise pretty terribly.
Key take aways
- It's missing the other legendary characters (mother nature, sandman, father time, Cupid, Easter bunny)
- forest witch? Wtf. And that accent. Yikes
- we're the careers of Tim Allen, Elizabeth Mitchell, and Kal Penn really this desperate?
- David Krumholtz looks like he's had it rough but the explanation of him aging was decent.
- the only decent child actor in this was Elizabeth Allen-Dick (Tim Allen's real life daughter)
- most of the child actors were terrible, especially Devin Bright as Noel and Liam Kyle as Gary - terrible over acting by both and that stupid voice for Gary. This was the most painful part of watching this.
Redeeming qualities: Tim Allen was his usual funny part, and I liked Elizabeth Mitchell as feisty Mrs. Claus.
Santa Girl (2019)
Aweful: Couldn't Even Finish
This was so aweful, I couldn't even finish it.
The "Santa Claus" actor is so terrible, there is a reason this guy only acts in "B" feeling movies anymore. Thr filming and production was so bad it was painful to watch even the 20 minutes I could get through. I had to stop watching because it was just so sexist, and the personality of the Santa Claus character was just so nasty. The way he treated the elves and others in general was so deplorable. He's supposed to be a role model for pete sake. I stopped watching when Santa was talking to Jack frost. He can't even get the names of his elves straight? I don't like the sleezy feel of Santa in this. HARD PASS.
Holiday Engagement (2011)
This is Aweful
This was so painful and aweful to watch.
The premise was good. But the main actress, she is terrible, and that raspy smoker voice.. gag. Bonnie Somerville just can't act
The mom's acting, was so overly comical and terrible. I couldn't decide which was worse.
The whole rich parents, so tiresome. We need more Holiday movies with REAL people. This is so much "rich people problems" it's irritating.
