Days of Our Lives (1965– )
10/10
Greatest and longest show ever
17 November 2023
This show was my late wife's favorite show. I watched it with her and got used to the characters and drama and story telling. I think some characters are lives that are too complicated for my taste but I love the show. I also promised my wife on her death bed that I would continue to watch it for her!. This is what I have been doing. It is unusual for a show to still be on after 58 years. When the sow started I was actually 6. On YouTune I watched episodes 1 and 2 of 1965. Things and technology have changed since that time. I guess that to be going strong after so many years it is because fans love the show. Long live Days of our Lives.

On of the worse episodes in the 3 year run
17 May 2022
Hippies from the 60s wreak havoc on board of the Enterprise. This is supposed to be the 23rd century and nothing looks like. The costumes and hairdos are to laugh about. The story is badly written. Acting leaves to be desired. The only good thing is it's been remastered but this is very little to save this show. Star Trek was my favorite show when I was going up as a young boy (in 1966 I was 7 and when it ended in 1969 then I was 10) but this episode kind of sucked.

Best of the best

Incredible story telling. Good acting. Good morals. Incredible special effects. Star Trek is back. Unfortunately season 3 will be the last of this series. What is unfortunate is that Star Trek Discovery destroyed the franchise as well as the movies by J Abrams who destroyed the timeline and the reasons of what Star Trek stand for exploration of worlds, lifeforms, the universe, ourselves as humans and what we can become if we believe in ourselves and forget our petty differences and unite instead of judging and wanting to destroy.

A masterpiece
27 July 2021
Even if the movie is 42 years old I find it is a masterpiece. There are an impressive list of excellent actors and Sean Connery gives a hell of a performance. The special effects are incredibly good for the era. This movie was nominated for an oscar or best sound effects. The science is plausible. There are real heart felt characters. I find it better than Armagedon. I think it is an enjoyable movie to watch with a good home theatre and pop corn! I give it a 10.

Very weak episode
21 November 2020
This is one the weakest episode. The plot is badly written. The direction leaves to be desired. The acting is atrocious. And what to say about those ugly costumes the natives are wearing and those wigs that look so weak. The premise was good but they blew it. Not enjoyable at all.

Be afraid of the Mormons, do not trust them
17 August 2020
I've seen this documentary years ago. It is incredible all the crazy stuff that Mormons teach and it is frightening to see what they can do to you if you try to escape from them once your'e in their group. Do not trust Mormons, be afraid.

Too bad I could not give 0 star
8 July 2020
I find this show so stupid, senseless, badly written, poorly acted and vulgar. It is a shame that none of the stars and writers are in prison! i sincerely hope this show dies by itself. Also the most vulgar and low class person of this show is Martin Matte. I hope he loses his show and reputation. He also participated in adds for Maxi grocery store and they had to remove one add because it ridiculed people that have weight issues even though it is not necessarily their fault. i am disgusted by this guy these adds and this show!

I am in awe with this pure Star Trek finale! Excitement, action, debate about human vs synthetic life, incredible special effects, awesome action. This episode was incredible and touching. Reason and good vs war destruction and evil. This episode made me cry! I was waiting for the resurrected Picard to say Engage. Best episode yet. STAR TREK IS FINALLY BACK1

WOW! Star Trek the Next Generation resurrected
7 March 2020
What an episode. There is warmth, humanity, goodness. The qualities I enjoyed in STNG are back in this episode Too bad for Hugh it saddened me to see him dye. At least the scientist had remorse and put herself in a coma. Writes are starting to think towards Star Trek. This show was also very emotional and brought a tear in my eyes. Glad to see Riker and Troi again. The pace of the show is going towards the right direction. I enjoyed it. Hope it keeps going like this!

At last
29 February 2020
At last an episode not too violent and worthy of Star Trek. There was action, good acting, a story, a good climax. Better than episode 5 that was too violent. Also the pace of the first 5 episodes was slow but now we are gong somewhere. Hope it keeps going this way.

The first episode tricked me
22 February 2020
I like Patrick Stewart. He is a genius actor. At first I thought it was Star Trek. The first episode tricked me. The special effects are incredible. The acting is good. Mind you I can't believe that the Federation and Star Fleet who represented dignity, freedom, right against evil has turned into this awful group of sadistic liars and bigots. My first review, after the first show was good but not any more. Moreover I find the violence in this show disgusting (The lady that was removing parts from a former borg almost made me puke). I also find the language to be really below the belt. I hope things will improve because I still intend to watch the show for the sake of seeing such a good actor as Patrick Stewart.

Star Trek at t's best! 10 out of 10
24 January 2020
I taped the first episode of Star Trek Picard yesterday Thursday January 23rd and watched it today! Sir Patrick Stewart is such a great actor. He looks so good for someone turning 80. He is in shape. He gives this new show structure, strength, charm and wisdom.

The special effects are incredible. The writers have surpassed themselves. This show is what Star Trek is all about. The story is good. The action is great. There is character driven drama.

This show is so much better that Discovery.

To conclude as the viewer before me I also say Star Trek is back!

One of the best and darkest Star Trek movies
19 November 2019
This movie when I fist saw it in the Imperial Theatre decades ago, impressed as being one of the best and darkest of the Star Trek Movies. The acting was outstanding. Christopher Plummer as General Chang was astonishing and I think he probably gave the best performance ever. The special effects were great. The script plot and story line were incredibly well written. Direction was at its best. A true good movie even if your are not a Star Trek or Sci-Fi fan. This movie offers, a thrilling story, plots, conspiracy, suspense, loveable real characters, everything a great movie should offer. Good bad critics never give Star Trek its due. This one should have won a few oscars. Way better thant the disgusting Star Trek discovery (Gene Roddenberry must be turning in his grave!)

Strange
11 November 2019
I find this episode strange to say the least. I also find the whole series lacked morals, showed no role model and the character of Joey was an imp that had no morals at all and thought of his genitals and more than anything else.

Violent beyond belief

I did not like this Superman movie. It is laced with unbelievable violence and this movie should be a PG 14. It is not the superman I remember from movies with Christopher Reeves. Not my cup of tea

Terrific episode
15 September 2019
One of the best episode of this series. Some effects were gruesome especially the squeaking sound made by the monster that tried to kill Koening. Acting was good. Story was well written. When I watched it for the first time I really thought that Koening was going to die. I was 18 at the time and I think that for most of us at the end of teenage we were probably impressionable.

Best reality show ever
19 July 2019
This show is the best reality show ever. My wife and I enjoy it. There is no trashy stuff in this show just warmth, love, respect, devotion and taking care of the needy. It's too bad it was removed from the air and it's too bad it was only for Americans I would like a remake of this show but for people of all countries. Let's hope there will be a remake or a follow up and please cast Ty Pennington again he is the best!

the most ingenious film ever
2 July 2019
In my opinion the 1956 version of The ten commandments is the best film of all times. It also was the most expensive of its time. The special effects were for that era above spectacular and even today with all the technology it is hard to beat the parting of the sea. The sets were grandiose. The script is extremely well written. The cinematography is superb. The actors were phenomenal in their performance. My wife and I think that the actor that stole the show was Nul Brybber with his masterpiece performance as Rameses The message of hope and the morality arrived by this movie is touching. They don't make movies like this anymore. I think that this movie should have gotten more that just one oscar. My wife and I never get tired of listening to it (we bought the 4k restored version) at least once every second month. I am 60 and I don't think that in my lifetime (for what is left of it) will there be a movie that comes close to it! A must see movie for all believers and to those who still do not whit will be an incentive to do believe.

Good movie, bad novel adaptation
23 December 2018
If you see the movie without having red the novel you would think it is good but the plot, story, characters, ambiance are all missing. Vittoria who in the novel is deeply in love with Langdon is cold as ice in the movie. The all powerful assassin of the novel looks like a geek. The wrong pope gets elected. We don't see Langdon falling from the chopper and Vittoria coming to his rescue. Also the most important question where is Kobler who is the most important central character of the novel.

Ron Howard is bad in transposing novels to films! I think he should resgign.

greatest show ever
27 July 2018
This is the greatest show I have never seen. Being a born again christian I can honestly says this show is about good values, christianity, love, caring, etc. The cast was wonderful. The stories were compelling and well done. It's too bad there are no shows like this one anymore.

Great show with good values, very human
20 June 2018
I love Heartland and so does my wife. I find the acting is great that the scripts are genius and that we have good human relationships in this show. I find this show teaches good values and family tightness. I love the great outdoor and horses. A cousin of my father used to have a horse and every time I used to call him by his name he would come to me and put his head on my shoulder. He would eve kneel for me to get on him (I am only 5 feet 2 inches). For anyone who challenges the values or choice of subject of language of this show I would telle you to reconsider.

how to kill a true franchises
29 April 2018
This atrocity is not Star trek. Star Trek was not just sc-fi but a tribute to the genius of human kind, the anti war, anti fake religion, anti racism. Star Trek showed values, true believable characters, great special effects, the goals of humans to explore space and go boldly where no one had.

This new show simply does not cut it, it shows unbelievable violence, bigotry, racism and the worse of humans. The special effects are bad. The stories of each show seem like they were written by angry selfish children. The acting is about the worse I've ever seen. How can this call this Star trek is beyond me

What a way to kill a 52 year old good franchise.

I surely hope they remove this awful show and tell it's writers to go elsewhere.
