Warning: Spoilers
I love ancient history and I love philosophy. So i m suggested to watch this movie by my brother. Agora is the fascinating true story of Hypatia. She lives in the 4th Century AD in the city of Alexandria, Egypt. Hypatia (Rachel Weisz) teaches her students in philosophy, mathematics and astronomy. She is famous in her era. Also Hypatia is a symbol for courage.I hope the film is liked and understood, and that we learn a little bit from its depiction of history. It's established early on that she rejects the love interests of both Davus, her soon to be freed slave and convert to Christianity and Orestes, the pagan nobleman who later becomes the prefect of Alexandria. In a scene based on a true story, she hands Orestes, a handkerchief soaked with blood from her menstrual cycle and makes it clear that she has no interest in future sexual relationships. The focus thus is on Hypatia's internal arc, as she struggles to replace Ptolemy's erroneous geocentric conception of the universe with a heliocentric model. We know basically that she'll come up with the right answer in regards to her astronomical quandaries. Many of the scenes is quite emotional. In the end, I highly recommend it

Warning: Spoilers
I watched 50 50 thanks to my teacher' advice.but I've heard so many great things about this movie This film based on cancer, comedy, drama and little romance! This film basically mentions a story of a person who deals with cancer. Adam (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a twenty-seven year old writer of radio programs in Seattle. He lives together with his girlfriend Rachael (Bryce Dallas Howard) that is a painter. Kyle (Seth Rogen) is his best friend that does not like Rachael. She is selfish person. And also Adam's overprotective mother Diane (Anjelica Huston), who takes care of her husband Richard (Serge Houde) that has Alzheimer. He consults a doctor about his back pains. Then he sees that he has a rare form of cancer that's fatal half the time. He goes to chemotherapy. The twenty-four year-old therapist Katherine (Anna Kendrick) helps him. During treatment their chemistry develops naturally and before they know it, the doctor-patient barrier has been broken. There are scenes to laugh at, but there are many more which are truly deep and prompt meaningful responses from the audience. 50/50 is a enjoyment to watch and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. I m sure that you You will NOT regret this! i have been unable to stop talking about it since I saw it.

I watched this movie at the listening and pronunciation lesson. When I watched the beginning of the film I disappointed .There is not any interesting things . The story is about the mythology. It is just a mention with an obvious wink and grin following. It is about Christine Brown is a loans officer at a bank. She is worried about a lot of in life. She is in competition for an assistant manager position .She is worried that her boss will think less of her if she shows weakness, she refuses a time extension on a loan to an old woman, Mrs. Ganush, she now faces foreclosure and the loss of her house. Christine Brown is attacked by Mrs. Ganush after she doesn't accept to offer a loan. When she starts to hallucinate; confides in boyfriend, Clay. He is a Professional Psychologist. The steps she has to undertake to protect herself. Even though it'd be an interesting turn to make, and a slightly strange one at that, all of this is just rumor. Now I understand the ending, I just find myself still disappointed that this lovely innocent girl is punished by this horrible woman , if one asks me about this movie, I don't strongly advise it

I watched this movie at the listening and pronunciation lesson. This movie really touched me. This film that leaves a big impact on its' viewers. At 2.37 one afternoon starts with blood coming from under a door and a student commits suicide in the toilets .We do not learn who it is until the end of the film. But there are several candidates. The plot unfolds in flashback. The film takes place over one school day leading up to the events of the beginning. This school is pretty typical. As we see the lives of many students it becomes apparent they all have a reason to hurt themselves or each other. Pregnancy, wetting yourself , homosexuality, incest all come into play as the motives. It also seems melodramatic as everybody has a problem. The ones don't speak up that have the real problems. It is a film about being selfish and not noticing the lives and problems of those around you. I actually think most people in High School at some stage feel invisible, ignored and unwanted. These events can be in every school; especially in high schools. Because students are many problems during their adolescences. About soundtrack, it was both haunting and terrifying when the chatter of the school ground rang out over the music. Some scenes are a little hard to watch, in particular the five-minute-long suicide scene. The ending is so shocking, and so what one would not expect. Even though it finishes up with sadness, I like this film .If one asks me about this movie, I strongly advise it.
