Supernatural: Sacrifice (2013)
Understanding the Enigma of Angels and Demons
So this season started off with the note of sealing the demons away forever. It involved a lot of random episodes , some quite unrelated though yet was action packed. Niomi as an angel was quite an enigma , was she the vamp of heaven or the blessing upon mankind ? And then we had much of the humorous and playful Crowley . The concept of the obscure chamber by the Nazi's was quite amusing , and this episode makes it seem even more effulgent . The Scribe seemed less religious than one would expect , so here again the fiction series gives a unique perception of the angel . This episode seemed quite thrilling from the start , but as expected this time again Sam seemed to have chose life over sealing the hell gate . However it was abysmal to note that with the fall of the angels , and the hell gate opened , now it seems like the new season ahead would require the assistance of Sam and Dean once again to gank demons ,just that the angels would probably seek the assistance of the humans rather here .Though the season seemed at some point of time out of context and monotonous , this episode does give the thrill and curiosity of the upcoming one , and indeed it wouldn't be wrong to envisage that the next supernatural season could probably be the last . .
Supernatural: As Time Goes By (2013)
The Winchester Legacy
This is by far , one of the best episodes in the supernatural series . An unexpected visit by a veteran Winchester , who is surprisingly not a hunter and turns out to be someone whose line of work seems to as that of a wizard except a more fancy phrase . Time travel episodes of the supernatural series so far have always been gripping , however bizarre and unrealistic they might seem to be in the end . Though i still don't get the theme of this season , its been pretty random ever since Dean escaped purgatory . The episode begins with a recap of all the seasons so far in a very concise manner , enticing the viewer that something enthralling can be expected and succeeds in delivering such a promise .But where was Castiel , he could have helped obtain the Angel Feather? So is the next episode gonna show Sam placing that Box in a Holy Hole ?Or are we just gonna turn a blind eye to such an action and move on to another random event ?
Burn Notice: Game Change (2012)
Simply Brilliant
Most of the times, the season finale and the way things end are usually full of expectations , and directors/story writers fail to deliver. However in Burn notice , there is this consistency of brilliant conclusions and story endings. The two hour finale is simply gripping right from the start ,with a couple of twists and action packed.Sam Axe has done a wonderful job, so have all the other main characters. At that particular moment ,when it seemed like it was the end of a certain character , it was truly jaw dropping. The finale leaves us with an element of curiosity in our minds to expect more in the next season ,this seems to be a new beginning. However this season kills a lot of characters ,which is regrettable and quite saddening to watch. However life moves on , and the show manages to go on without them ,it becomes a crucial necessity for it to move on. A whole new season awaits ,another year, next summer.Loaded with expectations ,hope i am not let down. But the end does leave us with an enigmatic note .
Skyfall (2012)
Disappointed
Not your traditional Bond Movie . Your up for disappointment if you expect the quotidian personality of Bond , the women and fast cars . Does not live up to its hype . Bond character is reinvented into a Shady personality . Outstanding action , antagonist and story have not been the focus of this movie . Deals with the issues of Bond and M. Also on the long run , the Bond legacy has made way for a Fresh Look , has many young characters for Q , Moneypenny . One would find this transcendent ,if one has not watched the other bonds . Better than Quantum of Solace , Daniel Crag lacks style and the womanizer quotient . Movie also deals with the personal issues of Bond , Bond is portrayed more as a troubled and Forever alone person , instead of the usual dashing , License to Kill assassin !
Dexter: Are You...? (2012)
Yes , i am a Serial Killer
Dexter , the favorite serial killer strikes again . Last season ended with a enthralling scene of Dexter getting caught and Debra's intentions to confess her feelings to Dexter . The starting scene was truly a reflection of what could unfold in Season 8, which is plausibly the last one . Dexter dealing with his soft corner for Debra and his passion for being a "hero" is at crossroads . Michael C Hall retains his reminiscent character , however his less voracious , compassionate,Father figure side is revealed . While on one side , the Miami Metro closes the Travis Case , here opens another one , marking the commencement of another mystery , only to reveal that there is an addition of more characters , not gonna be just another guy wrapped with Plastic Sheet . Meanwhile , as Miami Metro gets busy , Debra finds it mindboggling to accept that Dexter was just Another guy in a tough situation , keeps digging and finally manages to land in the position she shouldn't have ..
Burn Notice: Desperate Times (2012)
Desperate Measures - but why ?
Summer finale was truly outstanding!! So first Anson had been the antagonist for the whole shadow spy network , what happened to his "Management" Friend ? It sure seems like Tom Card is a puppet ,he doesn't appeal to be the one pulling the strings, damn isn't there anyone you can trust in Burn Notice?Story so far has been pretty intricate and has a good script ,it seems to run along the lines of Prison Break . Extremely curious to know what the episodes unfold this November , hoping that they have a good angle to the events so far. Great Direction indeed, though Michael Western's Character seems more of the aggressive and desperate type this season , relative to the other 5 this season has very less of the whole Former Spy aiding desperate people.
