The Death Curse (2003)

a movie with tons of potential to be either a serious Horror movie

The movie to be honest would probably only scare a 10 year old. but the story is pretty cool and pretty interesting considering. i don't really know where the director was trying to go to cause it did have some funny corny moments but those moments actually felt it was trying to be serious.

Only if the director would of taken his work serious then i would turn out to be a awesome movie.

Overall i'm disappointed in the horror and comedy section which the movie is suppose to be... But for a okay thrilling movie with a good story which is not all that scary is for you.

Aragami (2003)

Ryuhei Kitamura's 7 day Movie! With AMAZING STYLE

I Love this movie. The story was a bit confusing but either then that the movie was near perfect.

The action was very well choreographed and was not Very over the top like MGSTTS but it was still Over the top action considering how Samurai Films are made nowadays.

There was this one part that amazed me were the Temple was all dark and all you can see of them was when the swords collide that was sooo coool. And i love the soundtrack. If you loved the soundtrack from all his other movies then you would love this soundtrack.

The Eye 2 (2004)

good story but it has nothing to do with the eye. This is clearly a Spin Off

I feel that this movie should not have really been called the eye 2 because it really does not have to do with anything about the eye. But also the director said in the making that he decided to call it the eye 2 because it consists some of the same ghosts. So all in all This is a Spin Off.

The story itself is a bit hard to understand for Westerners because this movies Chinese Religion and Sayings play an important role in this movie.

The drama is good but the movie Lost a lot of it's horrific impact near the end. At the beginning you'll see some interesting things going on and a twist in the middle but it doesn't last. The Drama is mostly the cause and effect for what is happening in the movie and they did a pretty good job in a way and it's a movie to watch if your girl wants to watch a horror movie.

I have mixed feelings about this movie and there are some things i did not understand therefore i need to watch it again.

This movie feels like a mix between 6th sense and Rosemary's baby. It's a very unusual story mixed in with drama

7/10 for now.

The Eye (2002)

A solid psychological horror movie!

When you hear something like the eye. You automatically think 6th sense.... well The eye Personally blows 6th sense away in the storyline wise and this movie has a chill that you need to pay attention to or you will miss (When there on the tram look closely outside the tram). That was very smart. Though i do not think The Eye was the Most scary movie of all time it was fun to watch with Cheap Thrills and something not obvious like Hollywood Cheap Thrills are.

Some ideas in the movie to scare you were Brilliant or just plain weird.

The story twists and turns and to me will always be better then 6th sense because i feel the story is more Solid in this film and doesn't really rely on the impact of the ending to make it an good film.

Fun Horror movie to watch with friends, Family, or by yourself.

Do not worry about gore if thats what your worried about this movie hardly has any.

Bio-Zombie (1998)

the most underrated Dark comedy movie ever created about zombies!

this movie is great. It starts out FUNNY but progresses to be more serious near the end with funny gimmicks that don't really ruin the mood of the movie. The Budget is low but that doesn't make it a bad movie and it's hard making a Zombie Movie Good and Funny and this really does a good job and it has Emotions in it. It's not just all about gore but it has some good friendship story about the 2 main charachters i was suprised that they added some interesting side story to make it more sad then funny near the end.

I love the funny stuff they put in the movie it's VERY smart.

This is also not only the greatest dark comedy movie but a great TEEN Party movie! GET THIS MOVIE SPREAD THE WORD!

This MOVIE ROCKS!

Paycheck (2003)

A very underrated and misunderstood movie.

Every movie has flaws so does this. This movie is pretty interesting and is also pretty obvious but it was fun to see how ben affleck uses his items wisely. the action in this was hardly like a john woo movie.

2 people pointing a gun face to face and the Dove thing were the only 2 signatures in the movie. But thats it. I was expecting slow mo or something. But in this there was none.

a very different john woo film and a good sci-fi flick.

This is probably one of the most positive reviews i ever gave to what alot of people call a bad movie.

The Matrix (1999)

Overrated but still a very good movie

okay 1st of all. Slow mo is not original nor are the Neo and Morpheus Style of clothing and nor is a 2 gun Slow mo Stuff.

John Woo was the 1st to do that in his movie that made him famous in Hong Kong. A better tomorrow.

the slow mo kung-fu is not original it was used in many movies before matrix.

Now lets get too the cool things.

Matrix is a great movie that has a good story and great fro Sci-FI lovers mixed with action. The reason why i think it's overrated is i have seen much better movies then this.

like John Woo's The killer or Drunken Master

The Killer (1989)

So Romantic... So Sad and so Depressing....

Man where do i begin. This movie is just so dramatic and sad. What everybody said about the movie is right, The Killer is soo Dramatic but also keeps good action very well. Now i know why peopls say this is one of the best movies ever.

EVEN WITHOUT THE COOL ACTION the emotional depth of the charachters are very well done and still could be a good movie without the cool action.

MASTERPIECE, A TRUE MASTERPIECE

Versus (II) (2000)

a B Cult Classic movie no True action fan should miss.

This is a movie where u have to love action and style. Cause the story was bad but still somewhat interesting near the end. There are no names for the characters because you don't need one in a movie like this.

Sure this movie has a crappy story but you know what?!?!?

8k USD in 2 years for making Versus is a damn good job. The movie was made to prove Japanese Producers how wrong they were by saying Japanese Action movies will never be as good as Hollywood or HK action movies. Ryuhei Proved that! And that is the SOLE reason why he called the movie Versus

Versus surpasses a lot of action movies i have watched but not the super high budget ones like CTHD which i DON't KNOW WHY PEOPLE KEEP on Comparing this too Matrix Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon or any of that!

THIS MOVIE IS NOTHING LIKE THE MATRIX. When somebody wears a leather suit it doesn't AUTOMATICALLY MAKE IT A BITE OFF OF Matrix. And all in All JOHN WOO was the one who started that NOT MATRIX!

this movie pays homage too Sam Raimi, John Woo, and Terminator.

Also this movies Style in Action WAS ORIGINAL and something different and not usual and also somewhat POETIC.

And people say HOW did those things get there?!?!

Ever watch Hollywood movies?!?! ever remember how in those movies people just randomly find guns and hardly reload?!?! well This movie also does the same but just more often.

Also This movie IS NOT A HORROR MOVIE

NOT suppose to be scary

This movie is gory and very funny with excellent action scenes.

this movie has ZOMBIES/YAKUZAS/GUN SHOOTING/SAMURAIS/KUNG FU

And to me there is NOTHING that can ever be compared to this film because you REALLY will never see anything like this.

If your a person who is not open minded and likes to try new things and Does not mind Low budget effects this is definitely a movie to watch.

I bought this movie Blind Sided and will never regret it.

8/10 Fun mindless action with never before seen camera angles.

Naked Weapon (2002)

Flawed story, bad acting, and good coreogrophing.

As i said this movie is decent it's a party movie not to be taken seriously. Some of the acting can be laughable well actually alot and the story was ripped off of Battle Royale BUT there is one redeeming factor of this movie. The coreogrophing is excellent and superb sometimes the models doing the martial arts can get a bit flimsly but overall it still looks cool as hell!

So if you want a Fun Over the Top action movie not to be taken seriously then this is definately the movie for you.

Also you get to see maggie q naked Come on it's more then good enough reason to buy this movie lol

Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior (2003)

Best Martial Art Movie ever!!!

This movie is literally amazing.

Nothing like i have seen the martial arts is so original amazing so realistic.

This movie should win best movie of the year! Just amazing WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!! is right!!

House of the Dead (2003)

1st of all Watch Versus.

Versus is a B-Cult movie classic one of the best IT HAD MORE GORE THEN HOTD ever will.

Versus's Plot was excellent and guess what? it's even more low budget then HOTD.

HOTD is truly a very stupid film that starts out telling you the ending of the movie.

With stupid camera angles that get stale after 5 minutes but then uses the circle around the people angle waaaaaay too many times.

When Boll was trying to be Original his originality was annoying! Flash in game video scenes when shooting Zombies ALSO gets old.

This movie is stupid, lame, and useless.

If anybody says it's good They have to watch Versus.

Versus done the Genre of Zombies and action mixture RIGHT.

HOTD 1/10 IMDB rating!

The Princess Blade (2001)

UNDERRATED

1st of all. This movie has wonderful cinametogrophy. The only problem was that the trailer showed too much of the action making the viewers think the movie is all about the action. It's not the story is based off of a manga and it's a simple story nothing horribly bad as people say it is. the action scenes are very well coreographed by donnie yen. Don't expect too much action from this movie or you'll be sorry.

this is a SOLID action movie

Another fun film to watch by Ryuhei. This is a great action movie to watch if your into his movies like Versus.

Azumi talks about assasins who have to kill this leader then one day that leader figured out who they were so all of that will eventually lead up to the great scene that made this movie famous was the last part were Azumi has to go through hordes of enemies.

And of course it's Ryuhei so there are going to be some unescessary things and Camera Angles just for the sake of cool which is cool in my book.

I didn't find the movie long at all but other did heheheh o well. I still love this movie cause wow the action never stops to amaze me escpecially now with what Ryuhei can do with his Budget it impressed me more cause "Versus" was so low budget it turned some people off.

well thats all i got to say! If your an action fan of samurai action and unrealistic moves and with some Cool fake CG scenes this is the movie to get. The story is ALOT better then Versus and i found it to be quite unoriginal but still better then Versus

My Sassy Girl (2001)

Hollywood needs to learn a thing or to from this movie

A MASTERPIECE!!! Best drama movie ever made. This movie will make you laugh and cry and it has small twists. Amazing just truly amazing and the acting is very very good.

this movie is one of the most OVERLOOKED masterpieces in america!!

I can't beleive they got J-LO to do the remake which is sorely dissapointing in my opinion and makes me cry....

I just hope that hollywood won't butcher this movie and i still have faith since Ring was good enough to satisfy the fans of the original.

The Killer (1989)

Great movie

This is one of the greatest movies in the history of HK action movies. John Woo's originality and stylistic Gun Battles always amaze me and make my spine tingle. This is definately the movie to watch if your into Glamourized SUPER COOL Gun Battles with many originality and moves seen in games like Max Payne and Rise To Honor the story is very well done not really super in depth and story driven but not horribly done. The Killers story is more dramatic then story driven. And the Gun Battles make this movie shine like no other.

It dissapoints me that John Woo doesn't make movies like this anymore when he went to hollywood.

And this is one of the movies that SET good standards in the HK movie industry. I reccomend this to anybody who doesn't mind subtitles and it open minded to new things and loves action movies
