Little Necro Red (2019)
Best Necrostorm movie by far
In my opinion this is the best Necrostorm movie by far.
Good acting, good story, great action scenes, and astonishing practical fxs.
It has elements of slashers, revenge, action movies, and horror. I founded a lot of similarities with Adam Chaplin and Hotel Inferno, both for the anime-like fights, one against many fights, ultra nasty villains, and the satanic vibe.
The only negatives for me are: the story is very different from the original fairy tale, even if all the characters are present in a darkest version. Then I hate seeing violence perpetrated on children and young people... and there is a scene that involve a young girl.
Beside that, I safely consider this a now day cult and I'm sure a lot of people will agree with me

Upgrade (2018)
This is how Robocop remake should have been
I really enjoyed this movie under many aspects.
The vibe is dark and somehow realistic, the pacing is fast even if there aren't tons of action sequences, the acting is really good.
The story is not innovative, but the finale makes it a fresh and smart movie.
All in all, a great flick: this is how Robocop remake should have been

It Follows (2014)
Original and unique
I really loved how they managed to bring some fresh air to a genre that is full of repetitive and not original movies. Basically this is like any The Ring, The Grudge movie, but they managed to obtain an original title with a genial idea, of having a monsters without a real face, but multiple aspect. This movie will give you genuine chills, and leaves you with a uncomfortable feeling.
Mandy (2018)
Or you do action, or you do art cinema
I loved beyond the black rainbow, and I had big expectations with this movie.
But this was just bad, it start very well and then it turns into a revenge movies with ultra stupid moments, scenes that are fine in B cheesy movies.
This movie is not arty, and it's not action packed, it is just mixture of the worst side of both genres: bad art moment, and terrible action moment, all covered with purple lights and terrible fxs
Hotel Inferno 2: The Cathedral of Pain (2017)
Doom,Dark Souls,Cannibal Corpse... smoothie
I loved hotel inferno1, and I double loved hotel inferno2 . I can sum this movie like a Doom, DarkSouls, Cannibal Corpse smoothie. The story is simple like in a videogame: Frank is in Hell and he must find some kind of emblems to resurrect himself, and to do that he has to kill small and huge demons. The setting is astonishing, like you are inside a Cannibal Corpse's cover, and the movie is full of awesome practicals, videogames references ad cheesy dialogues, all covered with tons of awesome gore.
My only complains, the infant scene, I really hate to see violence on babies, even if they are monsters.
Already backed chapter 3 and I can't wait to see it, literally.

The Hateful Eight (2015)
Just for the acting and the photography this movie deserves 5 stars.
Not Tarantino's best title, but still a very enjoyable and intriguing movie.
What I loved most is the mixture of feeling: in the beginning the photography and speed recall to the classic 70's Giallos, then it surprises you with a complete change of direction. It's like an old Giallo made PROPERLY and with modern realism and violent contents. The acting was very convincing and great, the screenplay really well made and the lines smart and funny as usual. Morricone soundtrack was really weird in some point (like during the snow storm) and gave the movie that "out of place" touch I mentioned before, the main theme is really intriguing and honestly I've whistled for a good couple of hours. Talking about the gore, there are bloody shooting but without gory details (the only one is an head explosion) sincerely nothing extreme and disturbing like people are saying. All in all a very good movie
Who is voting this movie with 1 star, deserve 10 stars right between their eyes. You can't vote a movie 1 stars, just because you don't liked it. First the voting must take in consideration the objective quality of the technical aspects. Just for the acting and the photography this movie deserves 5 stars.
The Green Inferno (2013)
It starts Well, continue Great, but ends Terribly
The movie starts well creating a very good background for the protagonist and her new activist friends, and giving you all the reason to hate them: they are selfish, arrogant, self-centered, hypochondriac, from NY, fake, rich, and another couple of clichés I forgot.
After they sabotaged a deforestation site, after the hairy penis of an activist is showed with a close range shot, after they crashed with their fake CGI airplane, after many of them die in the lamest CGI way ever... they finally get captured by the cannibals. And you forgive the director for the minor let downs, because the dark vibe now is very well done
The movie proceeds perfectly, the vibe turns dark and sick, and the first cannibal kill is showed in all his sickness : they take the less arrogant of the group, gouge out his eyes, cut his tongue, dismember him leaving a fat screaming still alive torso, and finally behead him.
The movie proceeds with some WTF moments, probably created to tone down the seriousness, other two deaths are showed, then the lamest kill of the movie (the ant kill) and then... the nonsense.
After that, it's clear that the production lost some screenplay page,or has some budget problems, or some actor just left the set, because it doesn't make sense and some characters just disappear (like the main female villain) I won't spoiler more, but after the protagonist returns home, she had an interview, a nightmare, and the movie ends with a scene that was appropriate for "Mission Impossible"
Seriously one of the most out of place and lamest "finale"/"last 10 minutes" ever made, that completely ruined the entire movie (that was really good)
With a couple of more decent kills, and a just normal finale, I'd give this movie a 7/10. Really a shame Eli... really a shame.

The World's End (2013)
Easy going, funny and... English
I like to call this trilogy, "the easy going trilogy", cause the screenwriters and the actors can't hide their real friendship and "easy going nature", and the entire movie "smells" of friendship and talent... a very good smell. If you want some great English dark comedy, and if you are nostalgic of your high school friends, that were used to be funny and now are boring as hell (because they think an "adult" can't keep his "easy going" attitude) Well you will terribly enjoy the movie and it's funny story.
I can't say which one is the best of the trilogy, just watch them all guys, they are ALL great and they all deserve a support.

Infidus (2015)
Gritty, Gory and Real
After the splatter-fest Hotel Inferno, Necrostorm decided test a more serious and realistic approach. The result is a sad, violent and gritty movie, that will punch you in the stomach from the start to the bittersweet finale.
Infidus is a dark crime and revenge drama about two people whose lives were permanently changed for the worse, looking to change their sad destiny. Necrostorm movies stories and acting are pretty simple, and are only the background of top quality action and gore. But this time, the acting and the story play a very important role, and both are made very well (probably because the actors are real criminals) Infidus have tons of gory scenes, but it's not entertaining, it's just disturbing... like in real life. Everything is this movie is gritty and uncomfortable, also sequences that are not visually disturbing, are in some way uncomfortable. The houses, the streets, and everything doesn't looks like the Rome you see as tourist: everything is dark and dirty, and the entire city looks like an huge junkyard. The soundtrack and the B\W photography, constantly give you the feeling there is no hope for the protagonists, and vengeance won't change their faith. And this is Good, because this movie is about crime and vengeance, and they are not cool like in Hollywood movies. Like in real life, Infidus vengeance is just an unstoppable train that runs with blood on a "dead end"
In my opinion this is the best Necrostorm movie so far: top effects, top screenplay, top production value. I can't wait to see their next project, no matter if it'll be over-the-top or more serious... it will be another masterpiece.

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
What a lovely Masterpiece
Miller invented what we actually know as the "post-nuclear" universe, and all the movies after Interceptor toke huge inspiration from (almost ripping off) its vision. George Romero in the 70'-80's did the same with zombie movies, but failed to impress at old age, on contrary Miller still continue to impress, proofing he's still the BEST in this genre. Without spending many words I'll say: this is a MASTERPIECE. Action, Vibe, Photography, Fxs, Stunts, everything will surpass your expectations and satisfy your needs: if awesomeness is what you need.
I bet, in the next decades we will be submerged by other movies like this, because let's face it: we NEEDS movies like this.

Hotel Inferno (2013)
Like a Video game , Better than a classic movie
Finally my copy arrived, and I can't wait to watch it again.
The story: The ex solider of fortune Zimmosa, now contract killer ZImosa, is a very cold blood and bastard inside man. He's only good side is, he love his girlfriend. For the rest he's a war machine and he can kill people without problems :D He has been hired by a mysterious old man (Mistrandia) that communicate with him trough some spycam glasses, to kill a couple of serial killer that are hiding in a hotel. But as soon Zimmosa conclude his job he realize that the hotel is just a cover for a giant organization, handed by Mistrandia, that collect "ancient things"
My Review Since the very first moment the movie started, I actually felt like I was watching a very long video game's cut scene. Everything happen under your eyes (with everything I mean EVERYTHING, also when the protagonist pukes or he heal his broken hand) The camera never stop to record...because the camera is actually the eyes of the protagonist (not a real camera like Rec and Blair Witch Project) This gives a very entertaining feeling, I never get bored, and I was always curious and surprised what new situation was about to come, what new monster was about to come from the corner. The mysterious story and the way the things are explained keep the hype on the top, and the camera it's not shaky like in VHS or rec, but more linear. I really loved the photography and the way they managed to keep the camera balanced and like in a fps game. You can actually feel the heaviness of the punches, the bones crunch ed under your feet like You are the protagonist, and you can actually feel on your skin also the fear he feel. Really a cool and unique experience, like a horror roller coaster :) I really liked the acting, more than the previous Necrostorm movies, I think more budget has been spent with actors this time, and I'm very happy about that. Some sequence are really disgusting(the throat cutting) other are more exaggerated (like the granades war) but all are extremely bloody and different in some ways, I like that the staff used a different approach on different sequence.
Extras I really appreciated the audio commentary, something I wanted to hear also in the previous titles, and a very detailed but very short fxs tutorial. Not a problem cause he answered many questions ;)
Weak points: The only point that surprised me in a weird way is the final boss, I really loved it but it was completely different from my expectations. Probably just me considering it's reported in the movie's cover :D
My Final Vote Really an awesome movie, probably the best Necrostorm's movie so far, I love fps games and to see a movie that looks like a real game (really not like those shitty RE and DOOM movies) really gave me an awesome feeling
Biased vote 10/10 points Unbiased vote (for who don't like splatters) 8/10
Continue with your great work, Cheers from Germany
Taeter City (2012)
When talent surpass budget, and a genre is reinvented.
This guys/ company/ filmmakers/artist, or whatever we want to call them, have just created a new genre. That's it.
The story: In a futuristic country/city, a dictatorship manage everything, Criminals commit suicide thanks to a special radio-wave system, and their corpses become tasty hamburger or bloody energy drink. But something goes wrong and they all become demented super criminals.
Critic: The story is original but not unique, basically just a mixture of Soilent Green and the videgame Oddsword, Blade Runner and some of zombie movies. What is incredible here is the style... sorry: the STYLE. Italian were great to reinvent styles like western and horror (look at Fulci and Leone) and this guys are doing the same here. 80's style + Japan cartoon culture = 10 times better.
The visual is just art here, and the editing keep you drugged for the entire movie. The flashbacks are presented like frenetic digital files, and the background story explained with dictatorship advertisements, and it worked in a perfectly, killing all the dead point similar sci-fi movies had. The action sequence are so well edited, they looks like a manga, fast, extreme and they leave you breathless. Special effects are over the top, digital and practical, and the blood and gore sequences just 20 out of 10. The movie don't present good characters, only bad and sadistic characters for the entire movie. (This reflect what this world is turning on. I really loved that) A continuity of bizarre moments, kills, mutations, action sequences and funny moments throughout the entire movie, and that's worked perfectly. I suppose this guys spent about 1/100 of what big production spent normally to create movies like Dredd and Battleship. I just say: SHAME on you big production, and learn from this guys.
I don't know if any person involved in this movie will read this but: My best wishes for your future projects. My complete and sincere support from Germany.

Adam Chaplin (2011)
The action sequence can be watched and re-watched for many days...mounts...years...yes that's why many call it a cult.
Since I managed to stumble upon the pre-order on the day it was released (knew of the movie before, just didn't know when the release was) I figured I would order it. It didn't really look like a movie I would love, but it promised lots of blood and I figured I could review it at least. A few days later it arrived and now that I've seen it I think I WAS WRONG. An excellent movie.
The plot is like something out of any random action movie (or "The Crow") where a man is out to kill the person who killed his wife. In this case it was a mafia boss, and the lead man is Adam Chaplin - a muscular, long-haired Italian who has summoned a demon on his back. The demon is helping him find the mafia boss and also gives Adam powers not of this earth. Through-out the movie he is punching holes through heads and bellies, crushing and ripping off arms and legs, and everything else you'd imagine someone from a cartoon would do.
Yes, I say cartoon because this is quite literally "just" a live-action Anime. It mostly reminds me of a "Fist of the North Star" because that's an Anime I grew up watching that was in the veins of this. But of course, Adam Chaplin isn't as awesome as Kenshiro is/was. But the violence is like the similar Animes - blood spraying in ridiculous amounts, kicks and punches are done in rapid speeds, people either wear masks or have disfigured faces (all to try and make iconic characters of sorts). This movie was extremely entertaining upon first watch and still works after days and days.
The problem (if you are a purist splatter fan) with the violence in this one isn't how it looks but the fact that there is so much CGI used to enhance it. But I love the way the CGI looks here, and that have improved a lot the violence-realism mostly in simple sequence: like the sequence where the homeless get chopped with machete. Maybe too much blood - like if someone is punched in the face they use about a bucket of blood for that alone.
The demon on Adam back is another great touch, since Adam Chaplin manages to mix regular action, huge amounts of gore and unearthly things such as the demon.
The bad thing on my opinion is the movie carries a very bluish look and I don't know if that's because it is set in a fictional country called "Heaven Valley" (stupid name for a country). It appears to be wanting a Hollywood-look and whether that's true or not I don't know, but a less "stylish" look would've been to prefer.
All in all "Adam Chaplin" is probably the only movie that satisfy people who wants to see a live-action Anime (so basically, Anime fans) and people who wants to see splatter. It's an awesome movie for many reasons, mostly the action sequence can be watched and re-watched for many days...mounts...years...yes that's why many call it a cult. There's no need for me to warn you that you won't get a very good story with it, though, since anyone who puts this in the DVD player will be certain about it being a mindless splatter, but don't expect to laugh as much, this didn't set out to be funny.
