The Silent Sea (2021)

Disappointed

This started off so good, but it became silly.

I think up to episode 3 it was good and seemed mysterious, but when it came evident it was something to solve the water issue, and how the water virus spread it became less interesting.

Good potential but the writers seemed to wing the last few

This started off so good, but for me by episode 12/13 it went downhill.

Before that it was cute how the two main characters kind of hid their affection for each other and there was abit of a love triangle.

Yeo Hwa-Jeong - wouldn't have taken back Chang Yeong-Guk after the woman he has liked so long rejected him Yu Cho-Hui, so he basically went back to her (showing you as him realising what he didn't see her doing all that time for him).

For 5 years we are wondering what Cheif Hongs trauma is, turns out, the firm he worked for, the security guard tried to kill themselves (and he seemed to blame himself for that) saying he should have picked up the calls.

Truth is in the stock market industry no one cares about people, he even offered to pay the bills and his wife was rude. I just felt offended on Du-sik's behalf.

When him and his friend were driving home, where his friend was driving - his friend took his eyes off the road and ended up in an accident. For some reason he blamed himself when it wasn't his fault.

Did they even get the truck driver?!

I found it annoying how Yoon Hye-Jin, shin-min a, was kind of getting annoyed that du-sik wasn't opening up to her so fast.

There could have been some more focus on Choi Eun-Cheol and Pyo Mi-Seon relationship and comedy aspect. The part where she had to ask him out and him being slow was comical.

Also there was the unnecessary death of his gran.

Overall it was going somewhere good but episode 15 was annoying, obviously in the end they get married though.

Cursed (2020)

Good on the last one

So the episodes built up to the last one where there was action. I felt throughout it was a little slow - but the slow bits were for character building. I found there wasn't a clear storyline to it - obviously there was the main character, but I found it a little messy.

With Morgana - she ate a spider, and then suddenly she changed to the angel of death (that's what I'll call the shadow). The young girl who was obsessed with the church was annoying. Pim was made less pretty compared to nimue and I thought it was unfair..

I think it was good how the Weeping monk's character developed at the end and he realised he saw himself as Squirrel and changed his mind.

Also why did we see Arthur's bottom when he got in the pool and not nimues - not saying she should strip but 🤷 thought it would have been equal.

Overall I enjoyed the series and hope for a few more seasons

The grudge

The storyline focuses around the grudge house, murders keep happening in it. The house influences people too..

One man (who writes books) grew up in the house and his siblings died - his sister missing. He is investigating these murders, and writing about them.

Episode 4 was so messed up!

For me all the characters were quite difficult to differentiate between in the beginning.

Season two seemed like a mish mash of a few things going on. I got a little confused..? The ending was good. Hope there's a 3rd season.

They rushed with rescuing Lilith as well I thought we would see the demon realm etc. I thought if Alyssa died Vera got her powers back? Alyssa seemed to be influenced by a lot of people, the Prometheans and then Praxis ? Does she know what she wants!?😅

Flashbacks

So watching this episode we are shown flashbacks of when Clayton was a teacher and Elena was going for a job as a typist. But In these flashbacks she is made to look like a student - it's a bit bizzare. I don't know why there been made to look younger as well - she ties her hair up.

Elaina seems to be two sided, one minute she wants to go back to her normal life, and the next she's wanting to kill the guys who got Pete. It's a bit silly.

The Gift (2019–2021)

Unique series

Very interesting storyline. Here's a very brief sum up.

Woman (Atiya) sees a reoccurring image relating to the archaeological site Gobekli Tepe.

A discovery at the site reveals the symbol Atiya has been drawing for years.

She goes on a journey finding herself and distancing herself from her fiance (Ouzon) and getting closer to the archeological guys son, Erand. Later it is revealed Atiya has a grammar her mum wanted keeping sectret as she thought she was dangerous - but she actually has special powers. Cover ups are made so it seems Atiya is going crazy - her mum lets her believe so.

Later in the series we see a flashback; the grammar appears to the archaeological guy and tells him, his time is short and to listen to her, Atiya will open a door and his son Erand and her will meet. He and his family die in a fake car accident -which is a cover up and they were really killed, however, the little sister of Erand - turns out to be Atiyas adopted sister, survives the accident and is saved by Atiyas dad Mufasta.

The fiance's farther seems to be talking to some supernatural beings via the TV and computer. He is given 2 days to find a door that Atiya has to open.

Later Atiyas sister is killed by Ouzon and Atiya is jailed for it - as a cover up for Ouzon. Atiya is told she has power to change things.

Rants I had: I don't know why Atiya kept trusting her mum, when her mum thought she was crazy. I don't think the police and people would assume she killed her sister either - if anything the boyfriend would be put in jail..

Locke & Key: The Black Door (2020) Season 1, Episode 6

Bode

Storyline is really good Bode's character is a little screamy shouty - I have no idea what his idea of being a ghost to see if his mom saw him was for. It wasted time. I don't get Tyler's problem, he couldn't sleep with his girlfriend but can sleep with well lady (he doesn't know is well lady) ?!

The character of Dr Smith is so annoying, she doesn't add to the story she just seems to hassle the Robinson's not in a good way!

The storyline is ok, I think the episodes are all a little slow and then towards the end they pick up.

The way Vanya is going is like Eve? from X men where Hugh Jackman had to kill her as she got so powerful. So it's getting like that.. maybe the director didn't know where to go with the ending..

I found Vanya's reaction to what Alison told her to be OTT too as she seemed a peaceful character anyway

The Witcher: Bottled Appetites (2019) Season 1, Episode 5

Confused

Ciri seems to be the Witchers daughter..in the beginning we saw her fleeing. Throughout the last episode it came clear that (I don't know names) the woman who married the hedgehog man was her mother, the queen was the grammar in the first episode!

Has anyone else noticed people vomit a lot in this show?

Travelers (2016–2018)

Unique TV series

The characters continue delevop throughout the series, so we can all connect with them. My favourite character was David, the episode David in series 3 was so touching and sad. I kind of blame Jeff for that though.

I read one spoiler about how the whole TV show we have just watched could be re done differently, I agree as the travelers have been saying that nothing there been doing is making the future better.

Has anyone else noticed the orange clock in David's apartment, we are shown this from time to time suggesting it is something important - counting down to something.

In the last episode everything seemed to go wrong. They figure out that someone can go back in time. Maclarren offers to go back, to where his host met Kat, so Kat would maybe be happier with John.. ? But also to arrive before taveler 001. We then see Marcy getting on a bus with David ..

V-Wars (2019)

Annoying silly scenes

Overall a good storyline but had annoying acting.

Episode 10 Damon from vampire diaries, had some stupid moments - telling the world about DNS and he took his time and paused instead of telling them quickly. When Danikas sister turned around and did vampire face to Elysee, who was stalkerish.. bit silly.

It's a good show overall and look forward to season 2.

Did Ray imagine a wife and daughter or are they missing?

The accident site has the "get well soon" balloon, and the camera focuses on this, it is also seen at the hospital - coinsidense?

After the accident, His wife let him drive the car which was odd...

The dodgy organ selling he sees whilst at the hospital and the rude admin lady - sets up for the fact the hospital is doing something dodgy. The worst customer service in a film!

He gets the police in, to help find his family, referring to Abby his previous wide sometimes, but there is no evidence of anyone else other than him at the hospital.

The shrink asks Ray to go back to the site his daughter fell, the police/shrink and him then find the compact mirror and a blood stain. Ray assumes they planted the stuff there.. The shrink then tells Ray at how he may have killed them.

He doesn't accept this and takes a gun, and goes back to the hospital, He then finds Jo and his daughter and tries to escape with them, he sees all doctors in the surgery room as the ones he has encountered before.

He proceedes to escape with Jo and his daughter and they get into the car,

In the end he was imagining it all and he killed his wife and daughter in an accident.

The programme was on social media - should be careful as to what you do..

My entire thought process watching this movie.

Episode 1 Hanna was acting very flirty towards the guy she fancied - really silly acting.

The photo which was sent to people showed something that she said was a kiss - which she didn't tell anyone the truth.

Episode 2 Clays mom was annoying - controling mom. She got Clay a new prescription! Ridiculous.

Everytime Hanna asked clay something she got offended.

Hanna seemed jealous of Jess.

Episode 4 The tape was acting like Hanna knew what they were all doing. The photos taken of her by the perv boy - she laughed at it in class like she liked the attention

? At the party her fake friends were trying to get rid of her.

Binned the show after e8 thinking it would come to a conclusion quick.

At the scary scenes there was jumpy music which was a little annoying, the film is quite suspensful throughout.

The music at the joke scenes was odd.

I thought the storyline was quite new and unique. So it is worth a watch, if you like horror movies.

Really good, but I found Will Robinson to be very annoying .. he kinda ruined the show. Other than that it's an enjoyable watch!
