(1986) Wrote, Directed and Shot a short movie on video called The Thing Under the Bed.
(1988) Moved to New Zealand. Lived in Tuakau, Wairoa, Turangi, Hamilton.
(1995) Inspired by discovering Magic: the Gathering, by Paul Bonner's Nepharite Warlords (semai and algeroth) in the game, Warzone: Mutant Chronicles (reborn in 2013 by Prodos games as Warzone Resurrection and by Chris Birch and Modiphius as Mutant Chronicles RPG third edition, and most recently by Res Nova) and by the novel, It by Stephen King to write my first manuscript a 300-500 page fantasy novel.
(1998) Moved to Dunedin. Took a year off school to decide what to do with my life, started writing poetry and reading film scripts. Began getting involved in photography. Went back to high school to get NCEA2 and study video movie-making.
(2000) Earned a National Certificate in Television, Theatre and Radio at my first university 1yr program - worked on short films, television, plays and radio.
(2002) Rewrote my first novel as a short dark fantasy novel 200 pages.
(2003) I found an open call for submissions for scripts for an episode of Stephen King's The Dead Zone for television in the US. I started writing my attempt but I kept breaking their rules for submissions, they were too rigid. In the end I decided to take out everything about their show and finish the script as an original tv pilot. Which I sent to my national TV station - TVNZ. They called me up saying they liked my script, thought it was quirky. In the end they decided it would cost too much to produce.
(2005) Had some emotional issues. Moved to Wellington.
(2008) Recovered alot with the help of family and community mental health support network. Started studying again. Wrote three feature film screenplays and a short play, one of the films was based on my tv pilot script.
(2011) Earned a degree in creative writing, screenwriting specialisation with merit in short fiction writing.
(2012) Won a mentorship from the NZSA for my novel in development. Began learning Cartooning at my third university in Lower Hutt, New Zealand.
(2013) graduated Diploma of Art and Creativity with Honours (2.5yrs) in 2D Digital Art, Cartooning and Digital Art Direction.
(2014) Completed four short novels and a full length stage play.
(2015) Became unwell.
(2017) Started freelancing as a manuscript assessor and cartoonist.
(2018) Began two businesses: continuing freelancing - but also writing, designing, cartooning, software design, game design, art direction, digital spaces and video game producing.
(2022) started a small studio for animation, team games, software, TTRPGs and digital spaces. Freelancing as game writer/producer/webdev. Writing for tv, comics, books, theatre and making video game art.
