Hard to make something worst
16 March 2024
I tried this movie based on the ratings. Just to figure out that most of the ratings and reviews are either unauthentic or paid.

The movie is so bad that will make you regret the time you wasted from your life watching it.

Bad acting, bad story, bad script, bad music, horrible logic, bad historical knowledge, bad image. This movie can win it all in a bad Oscar competition. Full of cheesy cliches and nonsense. I bet the writer didn't spend more than a couple of hours writing this.

To all thosr fake and paid reviewers, have a bit of dignity and find another source of income.

Avoid this movie, total waste of time.

Good idea, bad acting
28 October 2023
I was impressed by the story, it created the right foundation for a 10 out of 10 movie. However, the acting of everyone except Alyssa Sutherland was subpar. The actors can at least try to look genuinely scared. The logic and repetition holloywood cliches haunted the second half of the movie. I rated it at 7 because of the bad acting and the lack of logic (e.g. When you are deadly scared you won't ask anyone "are you ok"?, you will be busy with yourself).

With better actors and a bit more efforts in thinking what a reasonable scenarios and reactions could be can take the next part (I hope it is coming) of this movie to a whole new level.

An illogical, very poorly written story
21 February 2022
The story of this series is the poorest and most illogical I have seen (or read) in my life. An absolute joke.

If you are looking for something that doesn't follow any logic or sense then watch this series. Add to that the poor acting.

I regret the time I wasted watching any minute of it.

Very true
10 December 2021
This movie is a great representation of English teens that you might encounter almost anywhere around the country. This is a disturbingly true and accurate movie with logical events.

By far not as good as other Mike Flanagan work
16 October 2021
The show is "ok". It is just way lengthier than what it should. You can combine all meaningful events in no more than 3-4 episodes. The rest is full of crap conversations for a pitiful desperate attempt to create some character depth. Failed miserably.

I slept over during the last episode! That can tell you how much exciting it was. Full of clichés and predicted events.

A show that started good and ended horrible
8 April 2021
My rating is an average rating for the first 3 seasons. I rate the first at 7, the second at 6, and the third at 1.

The story on the first season was good. Not exceptional, but good. On the second it wasn't as good but it was still watchable, with a pinch of salt.

The third season was horrible by all measures. I don't understand writers who glorify criminals or try to justify them. Absolutely sick scenario. A zero is more suitable for this season.

Horrible script, horrible horrible horrible
2 June 2020
This is a story of a little teenage girl who is just 40 years old. Acting like a 15 years old in every single aspect. And, of course, blaming the others - especially her dad - for everything, and the script writer wants us to actually like her for all the rubbish that she is coming up with and the missed up mind set she brings on.

Flat characters, horrible script, hot girls, and a very bad joke in framing Tom Rhys Harries as a handsome guy.

I am giving this show 4 stars just because of Marta Milans and Belén López who looked and acted great.

Underrated original mystery-horror
18 April 2020
This movie is very underrated. This is an original story. The acting was perfect from all actors apart from Anya Taylor-Joy who's performance, character, and script was below par of the whole movie. This is more of a mister-horror movie than a thriller. Highly recommended.

Cheap show
29 October 2019
I thought this would be a great show. The idea is good and attractive but the execution is just horrible. So cheap, the show is not targeted towards people interested in science but to convince commoners that there is a conspiracy somewhere. I won't be surprised if there was a conspiracy indeed, but I doubt that this show's presenters would be able to reveal it. The presenters look so dull, so less educated and smart than what the show is trying to convince us. And the show itself keeps repeating specific phrases and statements over and over again to hypnotize the audience into believing the conspiracy theory without providing any real facts. So poor, so cheap, Tesla deserves a better show delivered by real researchers and scientists.

Had a lot of potential. But the Cheese Burger logic ruined it
17 August 2019
The movie wasn't as bad as other reviews made me expect. The CGI was good and the monster fight scenes were nice. Any scientific part is - of course - so poor and make no sense at all. The write didn't bother a second about this. And I wasn't very much disappointed. After all, I wasn't expecting to watch another Interstellar.

But the worst part was - as expected - the rubbish about the American family. A terrible script writer trying to make this movie "humanized" and "makes sense" to the audience. Ending up with yet another "cheese burger" script and story. A grieving selfish mother is trying to recover from the loss of her son by killing millions and millions of people on Earth. They don't matter of course, they are not part of her "family". Not even part of her "country". So they're are worthless to the script writer. Fantastic Hollywood ... way to go ... you have just reached a whole new level of "low".

The worst Serie I see this year
6 August 2019
Terrible acting, cliches as old as sing, pointless dark story, promotion of bizarre values and thoughts, what is worse than the show itself is the story. It has one or two new ideas I would give it that, but the rest is utter rubbish. Total waste of time

A sci-fi movie for Simpletons
25 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
So a submarine who can take sea pressure under 12 kilometers (that is nearly 1200 kgf/cm2) but can't take pressure from a squid. An 8 years kid is driving a submarine. And a submarine that explodes when bitten by a shark. What kind of joke is this? is this submarine working on Gasoline?

This movie is made for simple minded cheeseburger-with-soya-sauce fans. I have no idea how this thing ended with that rating. Humanity must be getting more and more stupid.

What a surprise
16 January 2019
I was just looking for a moderate movie when I picked this up. This is a very disturbing story about misery and love. It is a nice movie overall but what a fantastic performance by Macarena Gómez, such performance would have easily landed her an Oscar if this was a Hollywood movie

The first post-apocalypse movie that makes sense
2 January 2019
This movie is way underrated. Ignore the reviews and give it a chance. To me, this is the first post-apocalypse movie that makes sense. All the others are full of cheese-burger logic that doesn't make any sense. I saw some reviews claiming that this one doesn't makes sense either, but that is nonsense. Some people are just so negative they want anything to look bad. This movie has it all, good story, logical events and good acting. Hats off Netflix

Cheeseburger
28 November 2018
Why would anyone create such a terrible movie out of a very successful series of movies? This is way different than any of the previous Predator movies. This is a classic cheeseburger movie. You can consider it a semi-comedy movie or something for young teens. But definitely not worthy of the name of this series. Stop this abomination and don't produce a part 2 please

I feel different after watching this show
24 October 2018
I am wondering, is this the best ever horror story I watched? This show is amazing beyond words. The final episode is so good you want to watch it over and over again. Well done Netflix, this is an example of a perfect show

Fun, but ...
6 September 2018
A nice series where a man visits many cities/countries, try food, and claim that it is the greatest he ever had. Nice fun, and nice stories about food. However, the dark side (there is always one) is in the selection of the visited places and covered cuisines. There are much more famous cosines that he never been mentioned (like they never exist), and places with much more food culture that he completely ignored. Reading more about the origins of the presenter can give you some hints. I hate racism, I hate to see it in any place and in any form. Racism is not only about skin color.

Great story, despite the bad acting
11 May 2018
I can't remember watching a movie with the same story. I believe that this is original. The movie is entertaining, has a good dose of horror, and a great about of drama. The last 10 minutes are just amazing. I gave this movie 7 stars rating despite the horrible acting of Kate Bosworth. She was by far the worst thing that happened in this movie. Totally emotionless. I bet the movie would have become a real hit if they have chosen any other actress ... literally anyone else would be better.

A very good movie overall, highly recommended

A shame for humanity
2 August 2017
I can't remember the last time I watched a movie with so many goofs. The script is written by the most illogical, non knowledgeable, less educated sci-fi author of all times. This movie is an absolute shame on humanity, it should not exist ... it cannot exist in the 21st century. This is a cowboy movie in space ... period. Written by cheeseburger creators to cheeseburger audience.

The fact that there are people here who gave this movie any positive rating means that there are plenty of cheeseburger people around there ... for those ... enjoy this movie.

For me, it deserves a zero ... but I will give 1 star for the graphical effects ... and 1 star for music. The rest is not even worthy of a zero.

Absolute nonsense
12 July 2016
Possibly the worst movie ever, idiotic plot, typical American cheeseburger movie. Clichés, nonsense, irrational scenarios, hatred against specific cultures and races, and everyone is stupid except the American cool-tempered invincible hero. An explosion that kills hundreds of people simply makes an exception for the mighty hero and his president. They are barely scratched.

There is absolutely nothing in this film remotely believable. All actors including Morgan Freeman were terrible. Gerard Butler stands on a level of his own, no decent actor should accept such role.

I can't believe that I wasted any time of my life watching this.

1 star, I wish I could give it a zero

Good story, terrible acting
22 April 2016
An original story, good atmosphere and effects. But a terrible performance by one of the main actors "Anya Taylor-Joy" Her performance was so bad that I kept trying to ignore it, just so that I can enjoy the movie. Other actors performed well, in particular "Harvey Scrimshaw" who is a very promising young lad.

The sound effects were not great too. There is a difference between making music for horror movies and a music which is a horror on its own.

Overall a fine movie, which could have been a big hit if they picked any decent actress for the role of "Thomasin".

Good old story, terrible acting
9 July 2015
The story was fine, little alteration of the original movie due to different modern life style.

However, the acting was something different. Sam Rockwell did one of the worst acting I ever saw in my life. I saw pure amateurs do a much better job. Watching him was a real pain.

I know one thing for sure, I will never watch a movie with that guy in its cast

The young Kyle Catlett was the best actor in this movie, on doubt. Saxon Sharbino was almost as bad as Sam Rockwell. Absolutely no feeling during acting.

Unrealistic, Childish and full of lies
30 December 2014
Unrealistic events, childish story, lies lies and more lies ... those who wrote the story and the scenario never bothered themselves to create realistic events, they just wanted something that brings the excitement to the simple viewers ... to these viewers ... please let me tell you that there are no "real" characters like these, no "real" battles like that, and the WW 2 events were far different that what has been described in this childish movie.

If you are looking for a good movie for a great star like Brad Pitt, then don't waste a moment of your life on this movie, otherwise if you are looking for another "kill em all" movie where the hero fights an entire army, or possibly an entire planet then go ahead ... enjoy the show

A master piece, the actress is terrible
19 December 2014
I read many reviews here, some of them were talking about a movie with advanced visual effects but without a real story, I believe those people never actually watched enough horror movies, this movie is a true master piece, a well developed story with some excellent events, for those who loved movies such as "The Exorcist" and "The Conjuring" ... guys I assure you that you gonna love this one.

The main actress (Annabelle Wallis) is simply terrible, she was so lucky to play the main role in such a movie, but she has no talent at all. She is so cold, so fake, I believe she never lived the events while acting, I am so disappointed that somebody decided to grant this role to her.

The Audio in this movie is also terrible, the Audio Engineer made every conversation a whisper, and every horror scene a set of screaming sound effects ... the thing that made me switch the TV volume up and down all along the movie, please think about a better way to make people jump out of their chairs next time.

Overall I would have given this movie 10 out of 10, it is a master piece and we don't usually see many horror movies with such interesting story nowadays, but I will take 1 point for the terrible actress and 1 point for the horrible Audio Engineer.

Clichés, cheap
21 August 2014
When I saw this movie it was rated 6.5 on IMDb , by around a hundred users, after I saw the movies I made an opinion about those users who gave this movie a high rating, they have either participated in the movie or knows someone who did ...

This is a very cheap movie, which has a good starting that developed into one of those cheeseburger movies ... full of Clichés about believing in God and the American family and all kind of these things that seems to be the only thing that Hollywood can make in the last 5 years apart from the Super hero movies ...

If you have around 2 hours of your life to waste, then believe me there are at least a hundred more exciting things to waste them on except watching this movie.

By the way, the Director is also the writer and the screen play guy (who did nothing apparently as this is one of the very cheap footage style movies).

2 out of 10 (instead of 1) just because the first 10 minutes of the movie were slightly fine
