Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024)
Changes please
First, stop the cringe slow motion. The slow motion just seems forced at times. I know the cartoon had it but not as much as the live action does. Also, please put these actors in more acting training please! Replace Zuko, sorry. Nothing against the actor but we could get someone else. Put more attention in the nations and their inspirations like the cartoon did! Also the same goes for Azula, Tai Li and Mae because oof oh my. None of these people understand the mood of their characters or can properly translate them into the scenes. I don't know if it's more costly but can we try to use more practical effects instead of cgi like for momo or apa?
That '90s Show (2023)
Gen Z trying to be 90s
I don't think it's bad, the original characters are great as expected. The younger cast needs to spend time researching actual 90s angst because none of them have it. Also, mostly everyone looks like they're wearing costumes and not authentically living 90s. For the younger cast they should either recast, build their skills up, or introduce better characters. Even the comedic delivery doesn't hit, like I don't know if this is their first time but it comes off awkwardly. The best of the new cast is the mother neighbor, she's really good and confident in her role. I hope Netflix really tries to fix some of these things because if they don't I can't see this lasting more than two seasons.
I Know What You Did Last Summer (2021)
It's okay...
The new version is how Millennials perceive Gen Z to be: woke, self absorbed and whiny which can be true but it's overused to the point where some characters just lose their charm by the fourth episode and become very annoying. The killer reveal makes sense but it was predictable and nothing about it shocked me. While the show panned out, I definitely did get upset when my favorite character was killed off so the last few episodes I had playing while doing chores around my house. The show is strong at first but dies down mid season which is a shame since the movie, although not the best slasher, does have a charm to it that does draw an audience in to watch towards the end.
