La Nave del Olvido (2020)
Another underrated gem
What a beautiful film & a brave one too! This movie shows how difficult it is to live in a small town when you're so different from the others like an alien, but also it's a reminder of being brave in life to be able to live it for real & be happy. It remind us that is never too late to start living it fully. The music & the photography of this film makes you feel the nostalgia of the main character mixed with the romance of dreaming to be free. I loved this movie! Recommended without any doubt. Enjoy it if you're not afraid of being yourself & let others be themselves. You're going to love it if you're brave.
Dexter: New Blood (2021)
What a terrible disaster, stop doing this please!!!
I share the same great disappointment of many others.
I gave it 5 stars because of the nostalgia of the old series and this season wasn't going so bad till they came up with this idiotic end.
They definitely should've left it alone if they were to do this garbage!
Didn't anyone in that "TV team" notice the mess they were doing? The incoherent ending for the characters and the season?
I really hope that they don't do another season, please DON'T! Enough is enough!
Suddenly the characters changed overnight and start doing stupid things? Nah, not like this... Because this is what means stupidity, the writers, director, whomever were involved in this should rethink their careers and just do something else.
WOW!
It would be justice if someone with 2 fingers of a brain pick up this season and remake the ending like Zack Snyder did with Justice League. Please!!!
Absentia (2017)
Sry Stana Katic. The show it's dumb AF!!! But watch it for yourself
There are so many plot holes that is beyond salvation, besides in these days any common person would done better than the actions of an FBI agent in the series, hence there you go...
Anyways if you prefer to watch it and if you don't care about the stupid dialogues, turns and plot holes, go ahead and enjoy it!
I just gave it 3 stars because of Stana.
Dispatches from Elsewhere (2020)
Forget the reviews from the terrified & dormant people
This is definitely a very BRAVE, GENUINE & BEAUTIFUL show.
Finally a tv series that really reflects our feelings and processes as humans struggling with ourselves and with our surroundings.
Reminding us that we have to recognize ourselves as well as the others around us, that we and only we can make a choice whichever to change our present and future, that we're not alone if we don't want it to be, that we have to take action if we want to go with the current of change or in the journey of our lives and hapiness...
Just stay open to this essential learning that is been given by this awesome show.
Thanks Jason Segel, Sally Field, Eve Lindley, Andre 3000 and all the crew, thanks to me and to us: the ones that are open to receive this beautiful reminder / gift!
Janelle Monáe: Dirty Computer (2018)
Finally a new musical that matters!
Janelle is just genius... Using her music, sense of art, knowledge of her surroundings to express the inequity that we're living in, trying to wake up people thru their senses is just beauty itself...
This is a brave black non binary "famous"
woman who is shouting out injustice and claiming freedom therefore her great value, this is hard to find we should pay more attention to her and appreciate her in this present, her present...
The people who wrote distasteful reviews are as superfitial as their writing, these are the ones that still see things without reflecting on it, these people are dormant and afraid of change so don't be fool by their bickering / mockery and fear better if you watch this piece of Art as it is: a bright shout for freedom and equity in these grey times...
P.S. And of course Tessa was wonderful as always. Let's they continue creating functional beauty. Thank you!
Ghostbusters (2016)
Ssshhh! Stop with all this hypocrisy...
I had to write this review after reading all this bigotry and bickering... Let's be real and honest with ourselves and these times, this is a regular movie like almost all the ones that are coming out on these days: same old jokes, same dialogues, same commercial entertainment, period. So yes, you can comfortably watch it at home like the 99.5% of all movies, but then again: What did you expect?
Moreover, this gender or feminist and macho discussions just demonstrate how BLIND most people are about almost anything in present time. How is it possible to write or talk about sexism, "bashing men", and so on when 99.5% of the movies nowadays are sexists but all the way around discarding and objectifying women, we're living in a MEN's world, no surprise here why this movie is getting all the whining hate. What about Batman vs Superman or else? I guess it was great for most of these "critics" here. Ja! Come on, wake up people!
Just get over it and keep watching the action movies with tons of visual effects and 3D, it's "better than this one", yeah right! Ja...
Is so funny all this hypocrisy and blindness...
Enjoy your society and this movie, LOL!
After Earth (2013)
Not for the wannabe 'rational' critics, yes 4 awaken Ppl!
If you are a rigid person that only look in a movie for technical stuff and you are a superb 'rational' critic that can't see further more, this film is definitely NOT for you to watch it, but if you are above that and you can see the message all around this work, trying to spread it out there, watch it!
Yes, is not a well composed movie in overall, I mean the plot, the effects, the whole story, but almost every single message in the script is REAL, and that's the point now days. If it makes you feel something and realize or remember a wisdom you have forgotten, it's worth the while.
So yes, I recommended it to the people that are waking up and starting to be present in this moment for themselves and their surroundings. This is one of those great advises to remind you: keep going without fear! No matter what the other poor and numb people are yelling about... Enjoy it!
Maleficent (2014)
Surprising, Disney is evolving... FINALLY!
Honestly, I was reluctant to watch this movie, but I'm glad I finally did, it was worthy indeed.
Never thought Disney will do a story like this, and moreover knowing the 'original' one.
It's definitely humanized, real, and showing how every being has both sides, 'good and evil' (if you believe in these specific terms), more accurate: Yin and Yang. Letting the truth unfolding itself: the relativism of action.
Angelina was wonderful as almost always, and Elle was fresh, candid and above the character (I'm liking her each time I see her)...
I do recommend it without a bit of doubt. Those giving distasteful reviews are the ones living in the past or just haters, jeee ;P But for real, I don't think they understood the big step and risk that Disney took on this film, getting away from the same old and boring love fairy tale story and it's gratefully appreciate it.
Hope this comment has been helpful and that you understand and enjoy this kind of down to earth movie with a big touch of magic ;D
Frozen (2013)
This is serious people, stay away, don't waste your time!
I just have to write this one down, maybe will be useful for people who really enjoys the art of films well made.
Wow! I haven't seen a movie so freaking bad, incoherent, with no sense or logic at all in a long time (I guess I felt in the "Oscar's trap"), perhaps the ones who made it thought the public now days is just stupid, because from the start, the music, the songs, the development of the characters, the dialogs, the monologues all is a big disaster.
I'm agree with the love theme in movies or animated movies but please not like this! It's just moronic!
The only character worth mention is 'Olaf', it can take away some sporadic laughs but the thing with it's "...Oh, look at that. I've been impaled..." (after getting pierced by an icicle) that was O.o imprudent, could be miss interpreted and could hurt some memories or feelings of various persons around the world, so wouldn't be so funny.
Hence, my honest and humble advice for you is to run as far as you can from this... (I don't even know how to call it...) If you want to watch and be delighted by an animated film made by an actual master and from 2013, go with 'The Wind Rises' by Hayao Miyazaki, I can almost promise you'll be eager to watch his other movies like 'Ponyo', 'Spirit Away', 'Princess Mononoke', 'My Neighbor Totoro' and so on. Enjoy life!
