Ally & Maine 4ever

I can tell you this; I have a lot more respect for Lady Gaga now then ever. I knew she could sing, but I was not so familiar with her being an actress. In this film she totally proves that she has that potential. That might even be thanks to Bradley Cooper, who's not only an amazing actor in this film, but also a great director. His directorial debut was absolutely flawless. Hell, he can even sing flawlessly.

What I love about this film is that "A Star Is Born" has been done before earlier, and this film does it very best to not copy anything from them, but only mimicking instead. It's still the same story, but the elements and the nature of the previous iterations is not the same here. And that's how you remake a film. Only mimicking, not copying.

The main characters portrayed by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga has some of the best chemistry I've ever seen. I don't see two actors pretending that they're are in love, I see two human beings who genuinely love each other. These two sweethearts just shines together, and I love seeing them being together. Their chemistry is beyond precious. Even Sam Elliott has his bright moments in this film.

I also love the songs they sing in this film. I was surprised to see Cooper being able to perform, and he's a very good singer. Gaga I knew could sing, but this time it's very refreshing to see her performing not only as an singer, but also an actress. Every emotion I see in her is just perfect. I don't care if she always had that talent or if it was thanks to Cooper's direction, she's just amazing in this film. Cooper proves once again that he can act as a champ, and considering that he's directing himself for the first time in a motion picture and handless it without a single problem makes me appreciate him as an real artist. There is no difficulty to understand why some of the viewers next to me were sobbing while Gaga was performing. It was literally nothing but pure beauty.

An absolute outstanding musical romantic drama! 8/10

Passengers (I) (2016)
7/10
Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt is what makes this movie worth to watch!
21 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
When I saw the trailer for this movie I knew I would experience an amazing travel in a fantastic spaceship in the extraordinary beautiful outer space with two of my favorite actors.

So what's the story? In the future, a giant spaceship with 5000 sleeping passengers from earth is on a space-journey to a new colony on a new planet. But due to a malfunction, a passenger named Jim Preston (Chris Pratt) wakes up 90 years too early and quickly realizes that he will be dead before the spaceship reaches it's destination and will probably be alone for his whole life. He gets very lonely after a while and can't take it anymore. When he discovers that he can make another passenger awake, he wakes up Aurora Dunn (Jennifer Lawrence) in hope that he will no longer be alone and might get her to fall in love with him. But soon they both discover that there might be something wrong with the spaceship and has to do something about it.

So what did I think about the movie? It was great. I liked the performance of Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence, the scenography, the special effects, the romance, and the thrilling action scenes. The way they try to make space a beautiful scenario to travel through is very excellent, and how the spaceship looks like a very luxury cruise is really cool (and yes, you could think they are ripping off the Wall- E scenario here, but this movie is really not trying to be that over the top, I promise you that). The way the two lead characters are interacting with each other is probably the best thing about the movie. If there is a reason to watch the movie twice, it is to see the lead characters again. Their romance is likable and you believe the chemistry between them is genuine. I mean come on! It's Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt alone in a spaceship. You are gonna get what you want. But of course, the movie is not without the typical "liar revealed", and you might think it's gonna ruin the movie. But surprisingly, they made it work without any unnecessary problems in the story.

What's the bad thing about the movie? I think it depends on what you want? Okay, maybe the movie could have worked without the 3D-effects too, but I digress. If you want a likable romance with Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence in a sci-fi adventure movie that also provides a thrilling action story, I believe you are gonna get it in this one. I liked this movie and I will watch it again sometimes.

Suicide Squad (2016)
7/10
It was actually very good. I enjoyed it!
3 August 2016
So after a decent start with a pretty good but not so amazing "Man of Steel", and a disappointing follow up with the terrible "Batman v Superman", comes the third movie of DC Extended Universe. Suicide Squad!

From the guy who brought you "Fury", David Ayer delivers an action packed, entertaining movie with a lot of interesting characters, dark humour, decent CGI effects, and fast pacing. Maybe it wasn't the best DC movie I've ever seen, but it's a lot more better than "Man of Steel" and "Batman v Superman" combined.

This is the good things of the movie: The casting is excellent! The introduction of the main characters was well performed. Will Smith is doing great at being cool as usual. I was kinda worried that Jared Leto as The Joker would turn out to be silly and not so accurate. But thankfully he did a very great job. It was like a more nutty version of Heath Ledger's portrayal from "The Dark Knight". Margot Robbie was probably the best choice to play Harley Quinn. She was creepy, psychopathic, and crazy, but at the same time sweet and hilarious, and a lot more interesting than she usually was in the comics and the TV shows. Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, and Jai Courtney were also pretty good, but maybe not so amazingly great.

This is the bad things of the movie: The main villain is just so uninteresting, forgettable, and boring. I actually thought it was gonna be The Joker. But nope. Instead we have a dark supernatural demon that wants to take over the world for no interesting purpose at all. The 3D was okay at some moments but at the most it was just unnecessary and bland. The characters should have had a lot more back stories. But I guess we got enough, we will probably see more in the sequels.

If you want to see it, go watch it. You will probably not be disappointed. I can tell you that I think this is the best movie so far in the DC Extended Universe.

Better Call Saul: Nailed (2016)
Season 2, Episode 9
10/10
Most pitch perfect so far
12 April 2016
Better Call Saul deliver us yet another breathtaking episode with drama, misery, and dilemma. The acting performance by Bob Odenkirk, Rhea Seehorn, and Michael McKean in this episode was fantastic and beautiful. There has been a lot of drama in shows when it comes to brother issues and conflicts, and this one knows how to handle it. It also shows how you can see at life and wonder how far you can go and get what you want, without taking consequences. But what I do love the most is how the show is taking things and matter as realistic as possible to this world as we know it. As far as this show has been going, "Nailed" is so far the best. It's not about action, it's about atmosphere, temper, sense, and pitch. And this is one of the most pitch-perfect of all time. This is such an art that has to be witnessed by everyone. And that cliffhanger... that is how you make a perfect cliffhanger!

Director fails at making a great sequel to a great masterpiece.
5 September 2015
While all the actors were excellent at playing their characters, Kay Pollak wasn't able to recreate the amazing experience from the previous film "As It Is in Heaven".

This sequel is not even close to be as good as the previous film. The plot is too cliché and not very original. It tries to get the same concept from the previous film but fails at doing it in a new and creative style. The plot takes place about one year after the ending in the previous film, which wasn't a very smart move because it's eleven years ago since the previous film was made and it's different times now for these kind of movies to work in.

The only thing Kay Pollak was good at was the directing of the actors. They did an excellent job at replaying their characters from the previous film, especially Frida Hallgren, Niklas Falk, and Lennart Jähkel. That's the only credit I can give the movie; just the acting. Everything else was so uninteresting and unoriginal. I want to believe that Kay Pollak did the best he could. Unfortunately it wasn't good enough. Better luck next time I guess.

It was Hilarious, but not worth it.
12 November 2014
It is what you expected if you watched the trailer. Unfortunately the movie wasn't funnier than the trailer. My advice is this: Don't spend your money on the movie, just download it when it comes out. You will laugh with no doubt, but you realize afterward it wasn't worth paying for it.

The beginning was excellent, but the near end is killing the entire movie, and you will not feel the same way when you watch it a second time. Most of the jokes are stunningly funny but some are just ridiculous and too inappropriate.

Sorry, but it seems like the Farrelly Brothers doesn't have what it takes anymore. The original movie can be watched many times and its jokes will work every time, but in the sequel, some of the jokes will only work once. And the plot will be useless if you already know the ending of it.

And by the way: don't look for Jennifer Lawrence. You will not find her. She wasn't even in the movie.

Under the Dome: Go Now (2014)
Season 2, Episode 13
5/10
IT WAS FANTASTIC... when it ended!
22 September 2014
Warning: Spoilers
"Follow me, we're going home". Well I say: "No thank you, because I'm really getting sick and tired of this nonsense". I mean how long is it left of this mind screwing distress?

In the beginning of the first episode of Season 1, it started with real excitement and mystery. But now it's just comically terrible. The acting is getting worse. The script is getting more ridiculous. The cliffhangers will not stop with more and more new crazy mysteries. The people in Chesters Mill is getting less for every episode. If they make 5 seasons, it will be no left in the very end. And why the hell must all the nice people always die instead of Big Jim? He's now worse than the Governor from The Walking Dead.

Well now it's enough! They only have one more chance to save the series. Either it end now with a Season 3 with a big disappointment or they change the concept to make the series better like when it started, because it just pisses me off now.

If I was trapped in the dome, I would go the the end of it and give it the finger.

Under the Dome: Turn (2014)
Season 2, Episode 12

It did it again. Another major cliffhanger!
15 September 2014
Of all the times the series has mind-blown me, this episode takes the price. I don't know how the final episode of this season will end but I'm sure it will be another major plot-twist. Even if it is starting to get annoying with all these cliffhangers, I still love when bad crazy things happens all the time in the end and you have to wait until the next episode to get the answer. The cliffhangers are so intense that I really can't wait another weak to find out the big surprise. But I guess it could be disappointing too if the whole season ends with a cliffhanger and you have to wait until the next season (if it will ever be any). The last cliffhanger from the last episode of season 1 was horrible, and if this season has another one for us, it better be good!

Damn, the dome really like to toy with everyone in Chester's Mill...
