Best Indian TV show
What an Amazing show. Excellent. I had never expected it to be this good.Everyone involved performed illustriously. Looking forward to the next season. Awesome. I'd say Anil Kapoor performed really well. Tisca Chopra and Mandira were really good as well and complimented Anil excellently. Aditya was very goodThe American series was/Is really good but Indian version is not along behind.Such a great project to take up. in his role. There are some pros of the show
1.Its Plot is good as it seems.Plans to assassinate the future Prime Minister of India ,Aditya , and Jai Singh Rathod and his team just got 24 hours to stop it. Race against time gotta make it a Thriller. As long as Indian telly Creative team doesn't Tamper with it.
2.The Cast of 24 is looks Decent. Anil Kapoor rules as ATU Agent ,Jai Singh Rathod. Tisca chopra (Rathod's Wife) is a good actor there's no doubt about that.Neil Bhoopalam the "almost" Prime Minister of India didn't miss to steal some moments as well. All others acting matches the situation so far as well.
3.There's some pretty decent Twist and turns so Tension gonna get on your nerves sometimes. But to be honest most of the time it's the clichés that will be on your nerves. The Injection Scene,The photographer's Id snatching were dead obvious.Let's hope this Continuity doesn't ruin it.
Comedy Nights with Kapil (2013)
amazing show..
Kapil Sharma has always been my favorite comedy artist and in this show too he'll never let you down. His awesome comic timing will make you laugh like mad. There are many other artists in the show including Ali Asgar as Dadi and Sumona as Mrs. Kapil Sharma. The show is very popular in India and even in abroad. A must watch for all the people because life is to enjoy to the full and comedy nights with Kapil will help you for sure. Kapil Sharma has always been my favorite comedy artist and in this show too he'll never let you down. His awesome comic timing will make you laugh like mad.The concept of the show is also very good. Every sat and sun I laugh a lot.
PK (2014)
Great way to end the year
Aamir acting and expressions deserve an Oscar. The film has everything. Emotion, Drama, Comedy, Message which literally means perfection. PK was the toughest character for not just Aamir Khan but, for anyone in the Bollywood industry. Not only Aamir, but Anushka Sharma and Sanjay Dutt did a very good job of their character which I think no one could have done. Sushant Rajput also did a fine job of his character.Like everything in this film is perfect. I insist you to go and enjoy the film because. The main subject of the movie or so to say the "Strong Message", has been adapted by many movies before but PK stands far out from any of them. This movie will make you laugh but also make you cry. My year definitely ended with such a present from Rajkumar Hirani.
OMG: Oh My God! (2012)
omg
There a lots of fun and emotions during the whole Movie and one major thing You wont get bored at all at the End ...
This Movie actually pass the message that person should believe in helping other poor person rather than feeding a stone. First half of the film is filled with some good comedy sequences and second half will make you amazed with some heart touching and heart shaking scenes. Main USP of the film is its unique concept. The film ends with a noble message. Story is perfectly directed by Umesh Shukla and he deserve a big cheer.
Oh My God is a must watch film for everyone because intelligent Kanjibhai and modern lord Krishna cant be missed.
Sherlock (2010)
best TV show ever
Brilliantly written, well acted programme. Well done to all concerned. The story had me hooked from the start. All the elements of Holmes are present and correct. So far most of the original characters have appeared, with hints of more yet to appear. It is suspenseful and sometimes genuinely funny.Cumberbatch is a fantastic choice for Sherlock Holmes-he is physically right (he fits the traditional reading of the character) and he is a damn good actor. Watson was also very good in his character. I have seen 3 seasons and now I can't wait for next one. The cinematography and editing was excellent (a feature that was much improved in the recent series of Doctor Who), the display of text messages stylish and deceptively simple.
All in all this was a triumph for the BBC, and showed the benefit of their nurturing of talent.
Sherlock: The Empty Hearse (2014)
an explosive opening episode in what is promising to be the most action-packed season of Sherlock yet!
It ended with a bang. Or, rather, a quick drop and a sudden stop - one that sent fans and critics alike reeling and demanding more, more, more. And this past New Years Day 2014, the two- year-long wait finally ended for millions worldwide as the infamous Consulting Detective returned to London with a theatrical flair that can only be described as, well
Sherlockian.
In many regards, the latest and newest installment of BBC's smash hit, Sherlock (2010 - present) did not disappoint fans worldwide - and why would it? Finally, Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Dr. John Watson (Martin Freeman) are back to embark upon more exciting and thrilling adventures! This is the moment that we've all been waiting for! Yet, this first episode - while exciting - did have a few shortcomings that made it less than what some fans might expect.
When a TV show opens its door to the fandom world - i.e. Tumblr - and brings it into the fold of its own plot, it often risks laughing at itself, becoming a pantomime of the speculations, theories and obsession that have propelled it forward - in short, it risks lessening itself by approaching and enveloping the - sometimes, frankly alarming - fan world. Yet, somehow, Sherlock avoided this entirely, carefully balancing itself on the knife's edge of playful, poking jokes which Sherlockians will probably die over, and that the average viewer can appreciate in the grander scheme of the episode's overall and surprisingly cheeky nature. The fact remains that no one listens to their fans better than Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, and, while some fans might find offense in their references to the, again, frankly alarming Sherlock fan-base, being toyed with was actually quite enjoyable.
The laughs weren't too far behind in regards to this episode, either. Again, "cheeky" is the word for this script - as perhaps are the words, "confident," "smart" and "clever," as Gatiss once again shows off his prowess as not only a co-creator of the show, but a writer as well.
One thing that no one had to worry about for this new series is the superb acting. Benedict Cumberbatch is simply flawless as Sherlock Holmes, supporting an argument that he is, in fact, the best actor to have ever portrayed the sociopathic, genius sleuth. Martin Freeman once again shone as a modern John Watson, showing a wide array of emotions simultaneously. And fans who were worried about the introduction of John's romantic interest, Mary Morstan (played by Amanda Abbington, Martin Freeman's real-life partner) have little to fear. Mary is as charming, brazen and clever as we could have possibly ever hoped for. Though only shown sparingly in this episode, she's sure to become a fantastic character in the near future, one that will not only add to the plot, but help shape a wonderful, new dynamic for this new series.
The plot itself was, overall, very intriguing. From the get go, the audience is immediately thrown back into the excitement and adventure that makes Sherlock exactly that - an adventure unlike anything television has seen before. This new series is sure to be a unique experience.
However, somehow, the plot was very convoluted and sometimes choppy and jaggedly presented for those that couldn't catch every single word of dialog being presented. However, after my second viewing of the show (after my disastrous first attempt at a live stream), I could completely comprehend the plot of "The Empty Hearse" and its implications towards the later episodes. It's truly a masterpiece - yet one that was initially confusing. Yet, despite its many pros, there is one crucial con to "The Empty Hearse" that made it less than what many fans have been expecting - the relationship between John and Sherlock.
Again, it's been two years since Sherlock's faked suicide, and it's been only days since he's been vindicated of all of the charges that had been brought against him, thanks to one "Richard Brook." Somehow, the thrill of the new plot took away from that developing reconnection, and their struggle to reconcile after many years of hurt and loneliness. Again, we understand - Sherlock is an adventure, a wild ride through the twisting alleys of London, filled with danger, excitement and deductions galore. And, again, "The Empty Hearse" did not disappoint in this regard. Yet, the one thing that this episode should have been about - John's forgiving Sherlock, their friendship - was not touched upon enough. After a third viewing (yes, a third), I could see the small hints towards the larger picture, but they were vague and barely noticeable for those who weren't looking. If not for the fantastic performances by Cumberbatch and Freeman, Sherlock and John's character arcs would have been completely lost in the grandeur, the danger and the thrill.
Sherlock: His Last Vow (2014)
amazing
The way everything was shown and the intensity of it...just cant be explained in words!! The music added a lot of emotions to the scenes and the love between the character that is shown is downright brilliant!
What Sherlock can do for his near and dear ones is just amazing to see! and how much Mary and John loves each other is beyond explanation. The first half of the show kept me on my toes and I was literally pulling my hair off!! So basically, that episode was bloody magnificent. I am confused and still shaking and drying my tears, but I have never had that experience from watching an episode of a TV series, with anything actually. If you have not watched Sherlock, I highly advice that you do. You will never have this kind of experience with any other show or movie, I promise you that now.
The last scene was really amazing. Can't wait for season 4.
Go Goa Gone (2013)
best bollywood horror-comedy movie
The make-up & graphics never looked fake which adds on to the credibility. With heads getting popped-up, bloods flowing like red wine, flesh getting ripped-off the effects are realistic enough to get audience approval.
Sachin-Jigar's music gels with the mood. "Khoon Chus le" has already become anthem for majority of us who hates to wake up on Monday morning & slog our body to the workplace."Babaji ki Booty" is another gem of a song that reflects the mind of a person when one is "high".
The second half might give you a feeling of Dejavu but then majority of zombie survival films moves in this set pattern. Being the first zom-com in Indian cinema the director duo aptly chose the basic concept without making a convoluted plot which might have backfired. There is homage given to iconic zombie film "Night of the Living Dead" to "zombieland" in the second half. The heart of the film reminds you of Edgar Wright's masterpiece "Shaun of the dead".
Coming to the end there is also a social message against usage of drugs. On the whole Ggg is the perfect torchbearer for the zom-com genre in Hindi cinema. GGG seamlessly merged the two concepts (Zombie & Slacker comedy) & made one hell of a mad ride. Go for it – you will laugh throughout & get distresses. There is a hint of a sequel & I am looking forward to some more madness in it.
Interstellar (2014)
beautiful journey
One of the best sci-fi movies.First of all, it is incredibly beautiful to watch. Honestly, it was so beautiful that I felt like I was sucked into the movie. We can feel the talent of Christopher Nolan, just by looking at the way it is filmed. The techniques he used contribute to create that visual environment in a believable way.
These two important parts (image and sound) create a stunning atmosphere. You will forget you are in a movie theater, and you will be lost in space, sucked into the adventures of this new Space Odyssey, begging for more. It is a truly unique experience. I can say that I have never felt something like that in a movie theater. Then, of course, the cast. First of all, Matthew McConaughey. I discovered this actor in Tropic Thunder, but he didn't really convince me, though he was quite funny. Then I saw Dallas Buyers Club. Since that movie, I love him. In this movie... Well, he is the movie. I exaggerate a bit, since there are other great actors (some even unexpected with a special guest) who play extremely well. But he is just what was needed to feel the human part of the story (which is very important in Interstellar). He is capable of making us feel so many different emotions all along the story, as a father, as a human. Anne Hathaway was very convincing, all together the actors managed to create some harmony, which makes the human interactions credible. Caine, Chastaing and Affleck are a perfect choice. And then there is... The special guest, I will call him "X". His role, which could be seen as a minor role, is actually much more important than that. He proves, once again, that he is a great actor. Watch and see. And finally, the scenario/story. I won't spoil anything here; I'll just try to convince you how great it is. Nolan is known to revolutionize everything when he tries a new genre in cinema. Well, once again he did it. With The Dark Knight he revolutionized the superhero genre. With Interstellar he's revolutionizing the sci-fi genre in cinema. From what I heard, he worked with a physicist (in gravitational physics and astrophysics) to help him with that movie. And we can feel and see it. During the fifties, Asimov laid the foundations of modern science fiction. Lucas and Kubrick did the same in cinema. Today, Nolan is laying the new foundations of the genre in cinema, proving that cinema is still at the beginning of what can be done (brace yourselves my friends, we have not seen anything yet). My rating for this movie can only be a 10, because in itself, it is a beginning for a new kind of cinema. It IS a classic. Those who say "we can't compare this movie to 2001 Space Odyssey, nor can we compare Nolan to Kubrick" are wrong. We can, and we should. Talented people don't live only in the past, some genius live today, among us. And Nolan is one of them. Many say that he is overrated. I truly don't think so. Only time will answer that.
This is the sci-fi movie of the decade. Just go for it, without a second thought.
Ek Villain (2014)
good film
Ritesh Deshmukh was quite the villain, loved his acting. Shradha kapoor was also good. Sidharth is getting momentum in his acting career, getting better and better in each film. Songs. Drama. Action. Tear-jerking moments. Symbolism. Philosophy. This film is an example of when Bollywood gets it right. So what if its a remake of I saw the Devil? It's made alterations to suit the Bollywood genre. The suspense keeps the audience glue onto there seats. THE SONGS WRERE VERY GOOD. Ritesh is the villain in the story but HERO OF THE MOVIE. But overall, I really liked Ek Villain, and I thought it was even better the second time I watched it! Watch it for the music, to see Riteish in a role that is a complete antithesis to his former characters, and for Sidharth's and Shraddha's amazing lookS.
The Shaukeens (2014)
decent entertainer
Here are two aspects to watch this movie. If you have already seen the classic, you might not be happy with the end product but if you are watching the film for the first time, you might enjoy it. Abhishek Sharma who previously directed the fun-loving Tere Bin Laden misses the bus this time. The movie does have some hilarious moments but only few to keep you alive. The 1st half goes fine. Even the 2nd half shows some promise but the climax plays the spoil sports and messes up completely. The songs are fine. Cinematoraphy is amazing. Art direction is captivating. Background score is just about OK. Coming to performances - Annu Kapoor , Anupam Kher and Piyush Sharma does a fine job and they will tickle your funny bone. Lisa Haydon is just about okay. Akshay Kumar does well in the supporting role.
The Shaukeens does show promises but the climax makes it decent entertainer. Good 6/10
Happy New Year (2014)
senseless movie
As expected from Farah Khan's movies, the film made very little sense from beginning till the end. The story was fully filmy; the hero have a tragic background which led him to follow wrong path; the heroine is helpless and in hope for her dreams to come true; and a villain who (not so cleverly)trapped the innocent family members of the hero.ts the story for vengeance. Hero and his friends demands to serve get justice in there own way. They wanna devastate the enemy in the same way their lives were devastated. An impossible seeming plan is carried out to steal Diamonds from (supposedly)the safest vault ever made. Hi-tech equipments and dangerous stunts are performed. And as expected a happy ending occurs. Even though movie revolves around dancing, no such great moves were seen. Fighting scenes were forcefully attached to places where the story didn't demand it. Highlighting Deepika's glamor and showcasing Shahrukh's body seemed to be the main motto of the direction team. Even Sonu Sood was hardly seen wearing shirts throughout the movie. Only plus in the movie were the funny dialogues and comic acts maintained throughout the movie. The graphics and the locations were outstanding. Songs were catchy and entertaining.
Overall: Go.. Watch for timepass..!! Relax your brains, you wont be needing it..
Bang Bang (2014)
OK movie.. expected more
Coming to Bang Bang, the film has everything in store for action movie lovers but when it comes to content or substance the movie is a let down. As an action flick, Bang Bang has some high voltage fight sequences, car and bike chases, some brilliantly shot on the run action in water added with flavors of romance and songs and this is quite exciting for a hard core action and masala movie fan. But in terms of content, the film does not excite much. Running on a light or rather wafer thin storyline line, the movie ends up as an ordinary fare and comes no where close to the pre release hype or that mind blowing trailer that was such a big hit. On the acting side, Hrithik did his best to justify the director's choice of his hero for the film and well supported by Katrina Kaif as Rajveer's lady love. Danny Denzongpa as Omar Zafar was good but he doesn't have a major screen presence though he is the main antagonist. Javed Jaffri, Jimmy Shergill and a few other actors are also part of the cast without much prominence. Cinematography was nice that was aided by the visual beauty of places like Thailand, Prague, Shimla and Dehradun. Cuts were OK but the length was too much at more than 150 minutes. Music by Vishal Shekhar was good and the songs were well choreographed to exploit the dancing talent of Hrithik but placement of couple of songs took away the free flow of the film.
Overall, Bang Bang will be a one time watchable action and romantic movie for the hardcore fans of the actor and a likely candidate for a 150 crore club membership but for a neutral audience it is just average and ordinary.
Paul (2011)
it's not a comedic masterpiece, but its a lot of fun
For a comedy, don't expect to be laughing throughout the entire movie. The movie is driven by a good story and spiced with comedy here and there. Which in itself is a good combination, and it worked well for this movie.
Not to forget the CGIS in the movie. They were excellent. The character Paul was so nicely made, and the textures of his skin, face and eyes was off the charts. And those effects really helped carry the movie.
"Paul" is a good movie, though it is not Simon and Nick's best movie, it takes a lot to top "Shaun of the Dead". But it is a good enough attempt, and the movie works well enough all together. A movie with a great story, some laughs here and there, and it will take you out of this world.
Shutter Island (2010)
messed with my mind
This was one of the best suspense-thriller movie i have ever seen. I like the ending of the movie personally and I have never read the book. Hands up who has read every book for every movie out at the moment? The final scene between Leonardo (as Teddy) and his Partner Chuck linked with the opening scene on the boat perhaps tells the story we want to know while puzzling throughout on everything which happens in between.
This is a challenging and intelligent Shutter Island is a very unique and interesting movie. The acting, directing, and the script are all excellent as can be expected in a Scorsese movie. But the quality that sets this apart from most of his previous works is the tone and genre. Scorsese does an amazing job of creating a haunting and dark tone that fits such a suspenseful movie very well.movie although. SO I Recommend YOU TO WATCH THIS MOVIE.
Inception (2010)
nolan's masterpiece
When you have a cast like this-i mean Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon- Lewitt, Michael Caine, or Marion Cotillard (a personal favourite), the movie just keeps going flawlessly. Most of the crew is the same the Nolan brothers worked with on TDK and earlier in Batman Begins. So the Oscar noms in those categories are a certaThe only thing one could have against the movie, is the headache one could have.See, most of my friends go to the movies for brainless action, they enjoyed Iron Man 2 and The A-Team, but this movie-you have to see it at least twice, to understand it.The levels and the layers on which thing are happening are so many, that one surely'll miss something vital. This is a reason for not fitting to the mass audience, but i hope that won't happen, because Nolan is one of my favourite directors/writers, and he showed, that the brainless action flicks aren't all of it.There are still movies like Inception out there and still people like the Nolans to make those movies, so it's not all lost. And i hope this movie could show the audience that the story is still important for the experience one could receive, not the endless, constant explosions.Because this is really a one of a lifetime event. This a must watch.
Hot Fuzz (2007)
awesome movie...laugh a lot
However, that's not to say that Hot Fuzz is non-stop comic action. The first half an hour or so seems a little slow, but there's no reason to worry; the cast are simply setting up jokes to be knocked down later on, and it is definitely worth the brief wait for the well-paced comic-action masterpiece that's lying just around the corner. As with Shaun of the Dead, the people behind Hot Fuzz are affectionately poking fun at a genre that they clearly love, creating a film that embraces its genre's inherent ridiculousness, and is all the better for it. THE THING I LOVE THE MOST IS NICK FROST AND SIMON PEGG. They are my favourite since Shaun of the dead. Watch it and laugh.
The World's End (2013)
the end of trilogy is not good enough i expected
the film started like every other Corneto film, allowing us to get attached to our lead characters, learning a bit about their backgrounds through comical contexts! The film follows our five leads, portrayed by Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Paddy and Eddie, whom 20 years after a failed pub crawl, reunite to repeat the crawl and return to their hometown, Newton Haven, to do so. However, all is not what it seems. Over the due course of the night, the gang began to discover that the town has been taken over by robots attempting to "reform humankind", completing the crawl becomes the least of their worries. The film is clever, like Shaun of The Dead and Hot Fuzz they have mixed two genres, this time Sci-Fiction and Comedy, to create a film on par with the rest. From the first pint all the way through to the "bitter end.. or lager end" the crew have to use their wits to avoid being detected and caught by the pursuing robots, all of which ends with devastating consequences. It is a must-see if you enjoyed the other two. Edgar Wright's trilogy has come to a good end! Its good but not better than Shaun of The Dead and Hot Fuzz.
Shaun of the Dead (2004)
hilariously horror
Shaun of the Dead is the best zombie movie I've seen in a long time. i enjoyed the movie a lot.SEE THIS FILM!!! You do NOT have to be a fan of horror movies to appreciate the sublime satire that is "Shaun of the Dead." I haven't seen a movie this good for a very long time.It was hilarious, clever and sweet. I guarantee any viewers out there that you'll spend more time laughing than you will being frighted. I am a big fan of Simon and Nick and this was best in trilogy. Every actor is very good. The plan scene was very good. This was best comedy movie i have ever seen. Wright and Simon have written an entertaining movie. I AM SURE THAT YOU WILL ENJOY THIS MOVIE. 9 STARS.
X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)
amazing movie – a blockbuster action packed movie
In 2014 there are many marvel movies released but this was best. Bryan Singer returns and made best X-Men movie after being absent for the past four films, and what a return he has made. 'Days of Future Past' is truly an impressive and spectacular installment in both the 'X- Men' franchise and the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, combining the casts from both the original trilogy and the prequel allowing the audience to view the 'X- Men' in the past, present and future. The action scenes are intense and spectacularly choreographed with some fantastic heroes and foes fighting both against and alongside each other. As a personal opinion, 'Days of Future Past' is the best film to have graced the Marvel film franchise and one of the greatest superhero films of all-time. A visually stunning and exhilarating flick that combines the best elements of the series to create a fantastic and entertaining film. The story was amazing but i was disappointed by 3d effects.
