Missing (2023)
Good idea, bad context production
I really enjoyed watching. There are a lot of empty ideas that come out at the end, but in overall it's a good idea to have a movie with that production. I'm Colombian and I DIDN'T LIKE the way the movie portrayed my country. Though they used real images of the city they were supposed to be, there were some other images that weren't real, such us having "federal police officers" when we are not a federal state. Sometimes when you want to include another culture in a movie, you should find out how it looks like first, and not just assuming that all Latin countries are federal like Mexico. What was the main role of the actress/waitress that was in Colombia with the guy? The movie tends to make the guy look innocent but he's not, because the father kidnapped the mother right in the moment they just asked for the Uber to pick them up. I don't know, there are several things that just didn't fit. Another example is how the lawyer knew about what was going on. How did she and the father conspired for it to happen? Was it a conspiracy of they three? As I said before, though it was entertaining, it could've been better.
Drink Masters (2022)
Netflix: please stop saying North America is the world
Why does Netflix keep saying "the best of the world" and the contestants are only from the US and Canada? I was expecting participants from famous party cities around the world. The format is good: first a general challenge that involves cooking and preparing a cocktail based on a specific criteria, and based on the cocktail presented the people who the judges consider are not good enough go straight to the elimination challenge. It is nice that they explain everything that they are going to do. I love that the show presents key concepts on screen when it seems to be an unknown object/term. In general it's a nice and entertaining show to watch if you like alcohol and learn about it.
School of Chocolate (2021)
Best baking show I've ever seen
This so far has been the best baking show I've seen. You empathize with the participants, you know where they're from and what they do in their real life. You have a time to see their personality through the classes and the format lets them have fun while competing. Having only one judge could become biased but at the end is an academy and the teacher has the final word. You can see individual and group work, and the drama in the group challenges is amazing; it's a reality show! Haha. The best part of all is that no food is wasted, because everything that is used at the end is eaten by the participants. Overall is fun and interesting to watch.
Baking Impossible (2021)
Seriously?
First of all: did you notice all the participants are wearing the same clothes in every episode? This is mindblowing. I can't believe this since it is supossed that the time per mission is 12 hours. How's this show being produced?
Apart from that, there is not background information of the participants. You only know where are they from because you read it, but this is a realisty show!!! You should have a time when the participant introduces him/herself. It is not ok to run a show with just people playing to be best of the "world" and North America is not "the world"; Netflix, please be careful.
The Owners (2020)
Seriously?
Wow, I can't believe Maisie Williams joined this terrible project. There's a time when literally nothing happens, just people on the table talking about random topics. It has utopian scenes such as a young strong woman fighting and losing with an an old just harmed man. Really? The end is not promising; in fact, the end is the worst and understandable part of the whole movie.
The Seventh Day (2021)
Don't waste your time
The WORST movie about this genre I've ever seen. Poor plot, horrible effects, bad acting... no way, please watch something else.
El practicante (2020)
Interesting
It reminded me of an Almodóvar film (Tie me up!) I dare to assert that Mario's acting is going to be always awesome, and this is not the exception. It could be interesting to watch, (if you have not better plans)
