Prisoners Wives: Episode #1.6 (2012)
Bravery Comes Hsrd
I love this episode because it tests all of the women. They each have to make choices and take risk and they find new ways of being investigated on their own. Finally, Gemma makes the choice to stand on her own and she's thrilled to learn How brave she is. Franny on the other hand tries to rely on the same way she's always known and unfortunately she finds out that Simplicity is a lot better than materialism. She loses a lot but thinks she's gaining everything she's always had. Definitely recommend this episode and the series overall.
Fireproof (2008)
Fireproof is marriage as it should be
See this film alone or with the one your love! I watched this DVD at the suggestion of my parents. As a 39 year old single woman, I thought what could this movie do for me? But, it actually shows a marriage in turmoil and struggles with common things that we all face in relationships. As a Southern girl, I was raised in a Christian home so I appreciated the basic values and the Christian music artists featured in the movie. Overall it is very practical in the advice it offers of couples in how to build a strong relationship. I like it and enjoyed the questions it left me to ponder for my future mate whenever he arrives.
Sex and the City (1998)
Sex and the City
I know a lot of guys hate this show. My guy friends moan and complain when I pop in the DVD or even approach the subject of the show. As a woman in my 30's, I love this show! I think it bothers a lot of guys because they can't believe we think that way or they get bothered by all the talk and analyzing. Hello! That's what women do! We analyze everything and we can't help it. Most women in their 30's can say they are like one of the characters on the show. (I'm Charlotte by the way). I think guys could learn a lot by listening to the conversations and observing the behaviors. But, the show really doesn't strike a cord with older or younger women because they are not addressing the same issues. I'll be a fan forever!
