S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl (2007 Video Game)

my favorite game!

This is a piece of art which introduced me to a video gaming industry when i was just a child 15+- years ago. This was my very first PC video game that i played (miniclip web browser games doesnt count). My cousin showed me this game when i was staying at his place and i cant be thankful enough for him for that. The best experience was the atmosphere of the game - the map designs, the music and soundtracks, the characters voiced over with real russian accents. Later, when i did find out that this game territory was based by real life existing place called chernobyl exclusion zone, and that the developers of this game actually took photos (no google map technologies back in the days) themselves of the whole place - i was amazed and i started to like this game EVEN MORE! And later i checked in the internet and some books about this real place and i was addicted to the real life accident and its story too. I was so addicted to read about it that i think i could be a tour guide now, i know really way too much than i should. And everything started with this game. So i should call it instead a game, but a masterpiece of art and a lifestyle. Cheeki breeki lifestyle (fans will understand it). I could call this game a cult game. Im not the only one like that who get addicted so much by it. Others even starts to live a stalker life in real life, even in the same mentioned exclusion zone too! So actually there are even bigger madmen than I! And this is the only game which took me in so hard and that it does connect between real life and video game universe so much. I was just amazed more and more when i was a child back then. The more i found out, the more i knew - the more amazed i was. Now im really glad that HBO released Chernobyl series in 2019 and im extremely happy that GSC devs are making Stalker 2 and it will soon be released!

Oh and by the way, the story was good in this stalker game, but it could have been even better. Especially in the other sequels, they should have kept more about Strelok fella. And it seems Stalker 2 wont have him as a main character again, but im just hoping that the story will be good and somehow connected to this first game, cmon even the title is similar (Heart of Chornobyl). And its strange that they used the russian version Chernobyl for the first game but now they obviously chose to go for an ukrainian one Chornobyl which is an original native name of the place.

I just wish that it will be posible for me to visit the real place one day. Always wanted, but never SADLY did :( At least i can visit the place virtually in Stalker games, which haves so many identical places in the game with a real life ones.

Barbie (I) (2023)

had two different ideas about this film

Before watching it, i thought this movie going to be just a pop corn movie with beautiful cinematography and colors and with good actors doing their job as always really well. But when i started watching, ive got the different idea of this movie, i was expecting more of a Wolf Among Us video game style type of thing. While watching this move i expected more and more from it, but ive got dissapointed in the end that it ended in cliche, no plotwist and nothing original way. Would have been amazing if they made exactly same idea like that Wolf Among Us game. Imagine Barbies and Kens living in our world, but in a dark our world's natural way. If film makers made it this way and nailed it, i would have gave this 10/10. Now im giving 8/10 which is a decent score for this movie, because of its cringe worthy last 30 minutes of the ending or so. Loved the joke in the very end, and loved couple of Matrix easter eggs.

John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023)

I am sad to give for a movie where Keanu acts less than 10 stars. Everything was good but it felt a little bit too repetitive with first movies and little bit lack of the script. Actually all movies except the first one had more or less the lack of the story. The first movie was really really good because it was introducing John Wick and the world around him, his life. All sequels were just about surviving to just die in the end.. all alone... what i would prefer if in the second movie they made john wick to be in love again and that the new love would be in danger or something. And third part maybe new wife dies again but not by the sickness but by the contract killers or something. And in the end it was just sad to see that John didnt had any children left after him. That asian contract killer had a daughter. The japanese hotel and mafia owner had a daughter too. All daughters lived in the end. Well who knows actaully because of the credit ending scene.. but it would have been epic if there were 3 daughters in general. The third one - john wick's. And maybe there could be 5th movie where all of these daughters would team up, no matter that their fathers were kind of enemies and kind of friends too. Or maybe all of them could be very big rivals trying to kill each other for their parents deaths. And someone could unite them in the end of the movie and the 6th one could be them fighting together. Well then we could have another marvel franchise but with contract killers instead of super heroes lol. All jokes aside i would just prefer that John had a daughter too and that he not only selfishly defended his ideology and life but his daughter too. But i guess 3 fathers all defending their own each daughters would be too repetetive as in one movie but very original really never seen that before. Now after watching this 4th movie i was just left empty and sad at the same time. This feels like with a Logan movie where wolverine died but at least he left that girl kind of safe and she was like a child to him. John didnt even had the dog let alone the child. But maybe the emptyness was the whole point of this cold blooded franchise. Maybe this ending was actually perfect for this story. Same with Logan. But this just still feels wrong. After this movie when I realised that most likely there will be no john wick 5 i was even more sad. But maybe john professionally faked the death to avoid the killer life once again but better this time. Who knows :)

Need for Speed: ProStreet (2007 Video Game)

graphics are amazing for a 2007 game

Music soundtracks are very well chosen as for any need for speed games. What really amazed me and caught me out of nowhere is the graphics of this game. Previously i played the 2006 carbon game and the graphics of that game sucked, well its an old game so understandable. But this was made in 2007, and i checked if i got the remastered version or smth because the graphics difference between these two games was like a day and the night, and only 1 year apart!

Well i gave this rating pretty low because of the gameplay and lack of the story, even racing games needs a story personally for me because it gets too repetetive and pretty boring soon. Even the racing host who talks with his microphone is saying the same things the whole time every fricking race.. and there are too many race tracks made on the same location. Just becaus of that i give this game 5/10 thinking i gave for it even too much :)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011 Video Game)

Well the graphics would be ok for such year game,but the problem is with fps lock and 144hz monitor shows lag with that lock on. If they did the remake for this game with even better graphics and without any limited fps this would be a killer 10/10 game. Oh if someone reading here haves a problem with graphic quality or if the lag is so bad that you cant take it anymore - use image quality setting "NATIVE", it will help a lot, trust me.

Oh and without spoiling anything, i wanted to say that i would love to see james bond included in this franchise,imagine mixing up these two worlds into the one.. like if something is happening in england for an example, and bond helps capt. Price like for an old friend or smth haha.

For graphics I would give this a 7, but im giving only 2, because this game saving system is terrible. It made me to replay couple of missions (like 3 or 4 times i had to restart) from the very beginning, because I was in terrible situations (like being too low hp or being in a very bad spot where I shouldnt have been) and the game autosaved in those places or such situations and it was impossible for me to get through them no matter how many times I was trying to replay the last checkpoint... I cant remember the last time i had such problems with a game which doesnt have manual quick saves, but logically thinking if you are making the game and you dont put such option of manual saving, then you shouldn't make it autosave every 5 seconds, because it will make impossible to get through sometimes. Such often checkpoints and autosaves aint good anyways, no matter what (think about possibility of game stuttering and freezing every time it saves). Well, after the last time it was just enough for me, my patience ran out. In liberation level i restarted once because in the conference room where i had to take the suitcase from the spy and run away i didnt run i stayed to see whats going to happen and then i got the text that u failed to leave the area in time and that i failed with my mission because of that and guess what, the game saved exactly at that moment when ive got that failure screen and i had to replay the whole mission again, and so i did.. but then i got to the place where we started attacking nazis and shooting everyone in the streets and i saw the guy who needed help, well one of those stupid heroic things that i always use to fail because of short time the game gave me to do it and not enough of hints where exactly you need to put that person , and i of course failed once again and of course the game autosaved exactly just before that failure. Like this game automatic saving system was made to troll a player and to exactly save after every failure player does.. so i thought maybe ill try restarting the mission, which was a terrible idea because of course it didnt start the part with the warriors in the streets, it started again from the very beginning of that liberation mission i just already very involuntary played twice. Well third time is a charm, but not with this crap game. I instantly went to delete it and i didnt get even sad about it a single bit because i didnt care about this game so much. If it was really good in the first place i would give lower score for this nonsense stuff but at least i would have finished the game. For a 2017 CALL OF DUTY game i was super disappointed.. such mistakes was made into the game.. i hope other newer sequels after this crap is going to be better...i will try my best to forgot about the existence of this specific game as soon as possible... I actually wanted to give this only 1 rating, but i'll give it 3 - 1 point for good graphics, and 1 point for good actors (at least couple of them) which not only gave their voice for the characters but face and movement capture too.

Well both remastered games (this and mw2) has a terible problem with optimization. When you pass 2 different levels,every time the game starts to freeze and lag so much, and only one fix is to restart whole pc. This is because that this remake uses shitty pagefile so much or ram memory cache has problems ,and i know only 3 games that had this problem: these two remastered games and 2012 counter strike global offensive. All these three games were maybe made with old engines or smth. These 2 remakes haves good graphics but this problem is so oldschool.. anyway,this is the reason why i gave both remakes 9, not 10.

Now with more pleasant side here. Oh i love that they remade this game for higher graphics, this is the best quality ive ever seen the pripyat in. I love that mission, i had goosebumps while playing it on this remastared game. The atmosphere, the realism, with such graphics is just too good. Cant wait for stalker 2 game which should have even better graphics than this game, oh ill pass out while playing that one, thats for sure... What they could have added in this call of duty game is chernobyl. Chernobyl city. We play only in pripyat city. But like visiting the chernobyl city and the power plant, and red forest. Well call of duty creators cant creat the whole game about chernobyl exclusion zone alone i guess, thats a stalker games thing.

Stuttering

I have this 9 and not 10 just because i had stuttering problems... And i found out that restarting the game or sometimes the whole computer will fix it for at least couple of hours of gameplay (the more ram you have, the longer you will play without any problems, its a pagefile thing that it is used when ram are fully used already, so gg for guys who have only 8 gb of ram or even less..), and the reason it haves such problem because the game uses already mentioned pagefile, not only ram. So it gets stuttery when the pagefile gets bigger. Terrible optimization.. Only old games use pagefile this way and gives such problems. For a 2020 game i didnt expect this at all.. Well ive seen many games that werent optimized well but not because of this pagefile, especially newer games - i dont believe that you could find any new AAA games which would give such unoptimized problem. Well other than that, this game is a classic, love captain price! Oh and i love that there was the russian airport mission, it was the second best mission in 6 different cod games ive played! The very best one is the pripyat mission if course. Talking about graphics - well this game is a pretty beauty, but at least some levels could have looked better. Well at least for a 2020 game that is.

Life Is Strange: Before the Storm (2017 Video Game)

Well to make myself clear why i chose to give the same review (but different rating) for two games (lis and lis before the storm), which is actually the very first time i do something like this, i will explain simply to you - both games gives me similar or i should say same vibes, both are connected so much that should be a one big game (and maybe even in chronological order too!). But i just wish Max was there in later games, and that the Rachel was saved by time traveler Max. Anyway, here is my copied review here:

I wish all life is strange games would be connected in such matter that the save files would be required to keep properly playing the story. And all games' stories would be connected and related to each other. And that all stories would have max and chloe both of them! Because i really loved this 1st game, but i dont care so much about other games. Maybe i would care more about Before the storm game, if they managed to do the plot twist in the end that max actually sacrificed herself and traveled way back in the past (which would make her health downgrade rapidly i guess..) and saved rachel from jefferson. Or maybe could have ended max story without sacrifise and just saved rachel without max dying. Imagine all these 3 girls alive and being friends all together. I played 1st game and before the storm game without romancing the main characters and they all were just friends. So in my gameplay storyline, it would be perfect for them all to be alive. Could end up like a Friends tv show but with way more drama haha would love that. Oh and in the end, i love atmospheric games. But most of the times, my favorites are apocalyptic shooters, because they just made the best and craziest atmospheres exactly in shooter games. But this game, it has something different. The music and voice acting and the drawing type of graphics of this whole game, everything makes such a different kind authentic athmosphere. Its a pretty rare thing with such games like that. Well at least that the amthosphere would be so likable that the game would become an A-tier one. The biggest applaud i would give for music in this case. Actually both this and before the storm games has authentic music, not sure about other lis games yet. Oh and the last thought here i think creators really made some bit of chaos while making titles. Im talking about before the storm, well this game and before the storm are so connected that they should be one game, not two different games. And farewell should be a dlc. Even while writing this review i got lost for a little bit and forgot for a moment that before the storm story is not inside this game and i just reviewed 2 different video games. Thats how it should be, well thats my personal opinion. Oh and i missed the rewind ability in that before the storm game, wished to see something crazy like that in that game too but oh well..

As one reviewer here wrote, i will ironically second that - greetings from lithuania as well... Why ironically you will ask? Well, no one in the world but lithuanians are so patriotic and overly attached to their nationality that one must to mention the country even in the review of the video game in imdb... This is ridiculously funny and cringy at the same time. And im lithuanian as well. Youtube comment section and whole internet is full of this kind of lithuanian patriotism that cringes me to death. Anyway, back to the reason im here in the first place..

James Bond 007: Blood Stone (2010 Video Game)

Looks just like 2010 game, wish it was 2020

If this game was remastered with today's technology, this could be a perfect game. Loved the bond song created for this game. And the Aston Martin car and action sequences which if were with todays graphics i cant even imagine how could they would look like! I felt the activision theme and vibes about this game too, reminded me of some call of duty games, and thats cool. But sometimes this reminded me about hitman too, and i love that game as well!

What i didnt like was obviously the graphic and audio quality of this game. Subtitles were awful and with many mistakes, teribly timed /synchronized. Audio of voice acting quality was terible, sounds old and with noises on top of it. Loved the original actors' voice acting of course. If they used random voices for M and 007 i would give this one 1/10 at best.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (2012 Video Game)

I've wasted 6000+ hours playing this game, spent 2k+ eur for skins and stuff related to this game. I would be still playing this and maybe would have 7k+ hours already, and maybe even more money spent, oh and the rating here would be 10/10,if not the one thing - LAG AND TERRIBLE OPTIMIZATION. Well this game has terrible community and alot of cheaters, and all of those problens Valve doesnt care to take care of. Instead they are creating new skins to buy that they could make morey money,and they just dont care about the game. For that, i really wish this game stopped making so much money for them, maybe then they would do something about all those problems or even would create new counter strike game, which it feels now impossible to expect for. But all problems aside, the main thing which killed the whole fun for me was terrible optimization. Ive wasted many hours to find how to fix this outdated old engine game for both my gaming laptop and stacionary pc. Just couldnt. I had fps drops, mouse acceleration problems, mouse sensitivity changing randomly problems, screentearing and stuttering (both computer screens are 144hz,but my laptop screen was more pleasant to look at but still i felt the stuttering anyway, actually 144hz made the stuttering even more obvious). The list of optimization problems is big, i probably would use all the words limit here. So i just stopped playing. Ive sold all my skins. And valve will not get a single penny from me anymore. Exception would be new counter strike or half life (non vr) game, and that's it. Valve wake up, fix your shit and keep it together. 10+ years passed and you are still ignoring all this and making your fans angry. At least could use some anticheat but i guess that would kill even more fps and the game would crash and etc. But faceit somehow works, but i have even less fps in it than in just official matchmaking, and thats just terrible.

Im going to miss the simplicity and classical looks and sounds of this game tho. I used to be an awper, sniper player in the team. Im going to miss those crazy awp flickshots i used to do back in the day, even with lags shitting the whole performance and experience.

Back to the Future: The Game (2010 Video Game)

Perfect story

The story plot of this game was good, so good that it was kind of equal quality to the movies! Well it had some plot holes or unanswered questions but this story is complicated (well time traveling is a complicated thing, isnt it?) and there are so information and things in it, that some couple mistakes or unanswered questions in the story feels pretty okay to me, not so important and it doesnt feel that there are alot of them. I would give 10/10 just for the taking your whole attention from beginning till the end with such good story, but i took 3 stars out because this game had at least 2 big bugs which broke the game and i had to reload previous saves and replay some parts of the game with the help of the internet to make it sure that the bugs wouldnt appear again (im talking about glass house in episode 5 or speaking with Marty's mom in the centre of the city square where she drops her flask in the bush in episode 4 - for these 2 bugs i took 2 stars from my rating) and that was so annoying and killed the immersion for me. Especially in the episode 5 with glass house part, when i had to replay the episode again from nearly the start of it i kept playing the game in the fast skipping the dialogs pace because i was furious that it took time to play the same stuff. The game shouldnt have such terrible bugs, if it had problems with side quests i wouldn't care so much obviously, but im talking about the main storyline right here!

And the last star i took from the rating because of the quality of audio and visuals of the game, 2010-2011 game should look and sound much better than this game! Especially if it was made by telltale! Audio sounds of the game were pretty ok, but the voice acting - there were so much of the static noises or whatever, like clickings and electronic noises that killed the immersion too, and most of the voice over were in terrible quality. Visuals looked more like from a 2000 game, common even 2004 (or was it 2005?) half life game looked and sounded waaaaay much better! But i couldnt take more stars from my rating, well i wanted to, but i just couldn't, because of the storyline! It was just too good! This game needs a remaster version with fixed all broken parts and bugs, and with better audio and graphics quality!

Metro Exodus (2019 Video Game)

Terrible optimization

So many plot holes, gameplay, menus control and crosshaire handling are all terrible (feels like with big mouse latency and acceleration that it made very discomfortable to play and no graphical settings helped to remove it), and very bad optimization of the game in general. Like in 30minutes of gameplay there is a place with a crane, where you climb up to meet one dude named Kahir or something cant recall his name but he was expelled from the church where a cult was living in. So on that crane i checked both sides of the map and one side was like 100+ fps, and the other side where was the hangar and the mentioned church at the fps dropped below 60 fps and it felt very bad, not smooth at all. And again, changing graphical settings didnt help at all, at least going from ultra to high it didnt help. I always thought older metro games were terribly optimized but now i think it was pretty ok compared to this game. At least lowering graphical settings used to help with these problems. I wonder maybe creators of this game used the same old unoptimized engine for this game, and thats a terrible idea because the new graphics needs new engine and optimizations. And my computer can run 2019 games (this game is from 2019) like Control for an example without any problems. Little bit tinkering with graphical settings needed, but thats all i can play with nearly maxed out settings. This game is just terrible at optimization and if not this problem, then i would give way better score here. But i loved some stuff like the new gun modification way and some other things that which made the game not so bad, but i was feeling the need to mention all the bad stuff here mainly.

In the end im happy that they at least used the happy ending to for this story line to take from. And i loved some most dramatic scenes in this game (especially the whole TWO COLONELS DLC! Best dlc ive ever seen! And that dramatic scene in the end of it.. it took my heart away, my heart just skipped some beats, it was super emotional for me ;/)

National Lampoon's Animal House (1978)

terrible american humor in this one

This old piece is full of old not funny jokes and style of humor, racism and sexism and homophobic stuff too. This wasnt funny at all , too vulgar and too many clichés in it, low iq jokes. I dont get why people are giving this movie good ratings... maybe i should have watched this while being drunk...

The Matrix Resurrections (I) (2021)

I mean i understand some reasons hard fans giving to hate this movie, but like so many people riding the hate band wagon.. I prefer this fourth installment than the 2nd and 3d movie. I wish all first three movies, the whole trilogy to be remastered. Imagine the original matrix with recent graphical technology which was used for the 4th movie. That would be an eye candy to watch. I think newest movie technology would really help for 2nd and 3d movies to be better, because they were boring to watch. This 4th one - not so boring actually (+i personally like to be nostalgic - i just like that feeling, and this movie is just about that most of it that is, and as i can see many people, A LOT of em just hate that or dont care about nostalgy that much so this movie aint that interesting to them).

Hate the last season because it felt forced, everything going on too fast (especially in the very last episode!), so many characters forgotten or who ended up in situations that i would not prefer for them to end up in. But the worst thing is it left so many unanswered questions that i would call this tv show "unfinished" or "without a proper end"

I hated this movie in the beginning. After i found out about Franko's disaster artist movie and that this "the room" movie has a fanbase which is more like a cult, i gave this movie a second try and i watched it from a comedy perspective. And now im giving this 10/10 - its just best worst movie ever made! And watching franko's movie before this one would help a lot but the best option would be opposite way i guess - first this one and then the franko's one.

No Time to Die (2021)

Some stuff i didnt like about, which nearly made me to give the 8 score

Cinematography was top notch, actors were good and fitable for their roles, i love the fact SPOILER ALERT that bond had a child it was a good plotwist for the story and i like the actress of that child's mother, she and the kid gave a nice cozy warm family atmosphere and it was nice and strange to see that in a bond movie thats for sure - at last bond grew up to a real man SPOILER END.

But i have some things in mind that i didnt like in this movie: one thing would be that some actors like Christopher Waltz or Ana De Arma didnt got enough of time in the movie, would have been way more nice to see more of them but i suppose as for the last movie for Daniel they gave him max screen time possible i guess, so I hope for the next bond movie they will show more of other characters - and smooth transition talking about not enough of time for others, i didnt like that this main antagonist, the bad guy with russian last name which i wont even try to write here, he had not enough of time in the movie as well, and both Waltz and Malek will not have more time in the future because SPOILER ALERT they are dead now.. SPOILER END. I hope they will show more at least of Ana De Arma character, and more of Bond family (strange that even his family was addressing him as Bond but not by the real name but its cool at the same time because it keeps the secrecy to his identity which is the point with MI6 agency). SPOILER ALERT I hope the next movie will be of grown up Bond kid, doing her father's work as 007 and being a badass, but before that would be nice to see more of Seydoux too (wouldnt be possible if they instantly made the transition to the older daughter) SPOILER END.

I gave this rating just because of the breathtaking beautifulness of the bond girl actress. The story was pretty strange and boring, and i was surprised when i found out that the worst song of all bond movies was nominated for the oscar...

But i couldnt understand only one thing here - SPOILERS- why the hell whole family in the very reality were living with the the bad guy, which the girl killed in virtual reality. It was very strange to see her and that guy waking up at the same place while her father walking in the beach with his dog like nothing ever happened. But dude was a killer, he shouldnt have been and woke up at their house in the first place.. I would understand if he was killing and living in virtual reality that whole time the movie was about but he didnt, he obviously wasnt connected all the time and that means he did bad stuff i mean he was a bad person in real life too. So why the hell the girl and her family were acting so like nothing happened and they had the guy just in their home. Thats the only 1 thing that didnt add up here. Great movie anyways.
