Talvar (2015)
Disappointing - Movie is not even as half good as the book.
I was very excited when I saw the trailer for the first time, but after watching the movie felt disappointed the way story has been shown in the movie. The movie story line is totally one sided and prejudice against the police.
If you haven't study the original case and its proceedings & just watch this movie then no doubt you would find this movie very good, but make note that its not based on facts, better part is fiction or I would key parts have been omitted.
Suggest you read the book "Aarushi by Avirook Sen" which is wonderfully written and has all the facts and findings about the case(that was admitted/not admitted in the court of law). Compared to the details and findings in the book, movie story lacks. Movie is not even as half good as the book.
Though its not clear that parents are killers but the movie story line is bent totally to show that parents are completely innocent.
Many important facts regarding the proceedings in the courts are omitted in the movie. Even the parents request to autopsy doctor to make sure that the word "rape" doesn't appear in the report has no mention in the movie. The guy who as ex-police inspector has vital findings but was made silent in the end due to some dirt, his findings are not shown in the movie. Another important point was that the bathroom in the Aarushi's(Shruthi movie name) room had two way entry. i.e Somebody can enter his bed room without opening the main door of her bedroom.
Even after reading the book, its not convincing that parents are murders but for the sake or clarity the movie should have shown both sides. Fourth character in the movie(that with servants) is I think imaginary.

No miss if you love movies based on true stories
I did not hear about this movie, just found out in the list of YRF movies on Youtube and saw good rating on IMDb so decided to watch.
From the beginning the movie is just too good. Just 1 hour47 min movie , doesn't drag or doesn't bore you. Not long list of songs except a couple which forwards the story. Except couple of supporting actors, all actors justifies their role and have done very good work.
Only thing that I didn't like about the movie was ending because I was dying to see the things that happens after the end(at least very much curious as to what has happened to the girl who has gone through this in real life).
Since the movie is based on true incidents it would shake you from within to see the such dark place do exist in the Indian map till date.
Sure watch for those who like movies based on real incidents.
City Lights (2014)
Slow but Worth!!!
First observation is 6.6 rating under estimation for the movie review.
The movie is all about struggle of the village person moving into Mumbai for his survival, nothing more and nothing less. True to its spirit, the lead actor Rajkumar Rao delivers one of his best performances at least at par with Shahid, If nothing alteast watchable for this great acting. Arijit Singh's background one-liners and music adds onto its flavours and somehow you can't ignore those humming moments.
Some might feel that the movie is slow but whatever it may be, you won't regret watching this movie that's for sure.

Love Story with Soul
Treat to watch, excellent story told keeping the soul and portraying all colors of real life be it love, trust, madness, friendship, betrayal, repent. AR Rehman is another man who with his amazing musical beats doesn't want The crux of the story is nothing but the unconditional love be it for the Murari or Kundan's child hood crush and one-sided love till the end to Kundan(Dhanush) and for Kundan's love for Zoya's.
The climax is unpredictable and take you all way though your heart when it comes, the last 10 minutes dialogue is not to be missed for anything.
