Wrath of Man (2021)
Not sure why this is seen as good
So many characters and so little to care about. The script is B movie at best. There is no conviction with any of the actors, an absolute snore fest. The plot, or whatever this is, is woven dialogues and random editing of city scapes and its hard to even see where everyone is in a shot.
Skip it.
Shookum Hills (2021)
Absolute snoozer
Wow, what a waste of time, boring characters with zero arching growth or development. Plain. Dull.
There's nothing horror about this, pass on it.
Spides (2020)
Garbage acting if you can even call it that
Terrible acting. So bland and insincere. Pass. I really don't think it's worth the time.
Evil (2019)
Severly overated
Absolute plot holes and cheezy demonicinstances. Through technology? Lame. The cop throws around hacking buzzwords. No substance. Can you reverse the hack? We can hack them back. Etc. Super lame. The annoying kids have awful scripts. With Augmented Reality "can you see anything, can you hear anything" yet none of them are wearing headphones/earbuds. Just a lot of rushed elements and you will notice them as you go along. Lets see if this gets any better but it's really weak.
Homecoming (2018)
Solid psychological drama
This is not a slow burn. It might get predictable if you are a fan of the genre. It's solid and I binged it in a weekend. Wait til the last scene .
Bert Kreischer: Hey Big Boy (2020)
Secret Time was better.
This one is mediocre and I think he needs to take a break because he's gasping for jokes right now. Maybe its how the mic'd the theater but you can't hear the crowd engagement that much.
The Grudge (2019)
Where's the plot?
This movie has no plot. It's just scenes stitched together with words.
Locke & Key (2020)
Starts of strong and keeps you engaged but then tapers off in the later episodes
I just feel like the tempo and pacing of the show gets convoluted at around episode 6 or 7. It just loses it's mystery and becomes more of a drama. It's still good but don't let it fool you. It's a good show. Not sure about how well its adapted from the graphic novel... It is a bit long at times in the last third. Still watchable and fun.
The Irishman (2019)
Overrated drab
This is so long in the tooth and a cheap money grab from the mob genre. You wont get those 3h30 back if you make it past that. Good luck. Skip.
Joker (2019)
Super overated
People need to calm down. Yeah the movie is fine. It's not a master piece. He doesn't come close to Leger's performance.
I think people are just so attached to the franchise and the fandom that they get blinded.
It's an ok movie.
Knives Out (2019)
Extremely overrated and pretentious crime mystery
Wow I must just hate Rian Johnson after the Last Jedi but this film was so long in the tooth. Absolute no care about any of the characters. They are as boring as paste. I have no care about the story and do not see any draw towards Daniel Craigs forced accent. No one speaks that deeply of a drawl from the south come on now. This was a real disappointment and try it if you have time to waste thats all this is.
Trauma Center (2019)
Utter garbage
Wow this wastoo crummy to finish. bad acting. bad writing.
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019)
Snooze fest
What a boring followup into Jesse's life. Absolute disservice to the franchise.
In the Tall Grass (2019)
Last half is a mess
This movie goes off the rails and tries to be more cerebral and it just flops due to lack of cohesiveness.
The Twilight Zone (2019)
Saddened
Of course politics and ideology are interwoven into the fabric of this mess. What happened to good stories. Why must there be an agenda. Don't watch this unless you want to be spoon fed and disappointed
Welcome Home (2018)
Absolutely predictable but fun
Don't expect anything unpredictable. Just throw it on and try not to over think.
High Life (2018)
Rough slow burn
If you can last til the 50min mark to actually understand the purpose of watching this then good on you. It is still highly slow and not very engaging. Lots of flash backs and bouncing between timelines.
Meh if you like sci fi and can stand the slow burn, try it. but its really not that great.
Triple Frontier (2019)
It's fun but lots of ridiculous mistakes.
Watch it if you're wanting an action flick but be prepared to facepalm because the plot is riddled with illogical and dumb mistakes. Greed gets in the way and they end up stuck on a god damn mountain with duffle bags of cash. As the story progresses you will slowly care less and less about the characters and more about the victims of their relentless killing.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018)
Lack of plot. Random scenes tied together
This movie is a fever dream of ideas. There is a lack of cohesion among the ideas. There is a lot of CGI and really bad cuts from one scene to another. It feels like a drafted idea that was never completed. There is world building but it's pointless because the characters are bountiful. Who are these people and why should I care.
Homecoming (2018)
Solid psychological drama
This is not a slow burn. It might get predictable if you are a fan of the genre. It's solid and I binged it in a weekend. Wait til the last scene .
24 Hours to Live (2017)
Awful and a waste of time
There's no substance here. The characters are flat. There's nothing coherent. The plot skips along different scenes mashed together creating nothing but a waste of time.
The Haunting of Hill House (2018)
Overrated and overhyped.
This show is cool in its aesthetic. But my gosh I could not care less about the characters. The flashbacks try to build things up. The CGI is poor. The plot is predictable. Acting is subpar. Try it out.
The Endless (2017)
Hot garbage
Don't waste your time. The characters aren't memorable. There is no plot, it's just scenes and things happening on screen that don't lead to any fruitful story sequencing. I've seen students make better films than this posh. Take a pass!
Maniac (2018)
Amazing SciFi drama with sprinkles of dark humour
Go into it blind. If you're already here then you've read to much. Pay attention and embrace the show. I was entertained and hooked. Ending very interesting in my opinion.
The Lodgers (2017)
Slow pacing, poor acting, no hook.
Just pass on this one, I've given it a few tries and it is so poorly executed. There is no world building and the siblings fall flat. You never develop any significant interest in their state. If you can stay awake while watching it, good for you, otherwise, watch something else.
