39-45 en sol canadien (2021)
Worth it especially for french speaking Canadians
Well documented, good tone, part trivial, part hard facts, Claude Legault's very diverse background is at the right place. If you are looking for a context, halfway between human stories and documented encyclopedia stories, you will find a good place in this documentary series. Also,
The use of historical footage, creative, work around directing camera angles, and the fact that the team moved into a different place of the country doesn't hurt at all to appreciate this local/Canadian series. This series makes you realize how much Canadians and Quebeckers had a big part to play in a second world war, and most of the times our participation was well regarded, if not helpful to the end story.
The Americans (2013)
Good but looses itself
The first, say, 2 seasons are great.
Then it gets trickier. Authors understood very well that tv series are based on characters (as opposed to movies based on the story). This is where it gets tricky: this series focuses on characters to the detriment of the story, nothing particularly bad, it's imply overdone. The season where Paige is the center of attention is where it becomes the most obvious. Everything around Paige could've been done in any other TV series, nothing particulary specific to a Spy series. If the 6 season were like the first 2, I'd give it a 9/10

Actors are really, really good. I personally discovered Matthew Rhys as a very credible, introspective actor.
Set, decor: you really feel like you are in the 80s
Realism: no James Bond gadget here, just stuff that's plausible.
Soundtrack: good research to go outside of the mainstream that a Cyndi Lauper or a Michael Jackson could've been. Yet they zero in the era musically beautifully

Not enough 'operative' stuff
Too much time on some character building
Finale could have been much more creative

If you commit to watch all 6 seasons expect a 7/10 and you should be satisfied. Season 4,5 and 6 feel like the same episode played over and over)
