Poldark: Episode #5.1 (2019)
Intriguing new characters Action packed adventures.
Poldark Series 5 is a rich courageous undertaking by screenwriter Debbie Horsefield fully sanctioned by the Winston Graham family to bridge the 10 year gap between The Angry Tide and The Stranger from the Sea. She has taken actual historical characters and brought them to life while still developing the ongoing saga of our beloved Poldark "family of characters" we have grown to admire.
The new characters Ned and Kitty Despard, Tess Tregidden and her rebellious ragamuffin family, Ralph and Cecily Hanson all bring new, adventurous, intriguing plots to an already exciting vibrant Poldark Saga.
I look forward to how this series unfolds and is brought to its bittersweet conclusion.
Aidan Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson remain the heart of the series and are exceptionally brilliant in their roles as Ross and Demelza.
Desperate Romantics (2009)
Great Lusty Fun Historically themed
Aidan Turner is spectacular as Dante Gabrielle Rosetti, lusty, gorgeous man with hungry libido and beautiful physique. He portrays a less talented artist than his more talented friends John Millas, William Holman Hunt, and journalist/wingman Fred Waters. He truly loves Lizzie Siddal but lusts after Annie Miller, Fanny and Jane. The costumes, the music, the settings, the narrations are quite wonderful. This is a hot, spicy, juicy drama, with a great comedic foundation. These four men seek a fresh approach to art in a stilted stuffy academy system. The Pre Raphael Brotherhood is visionary and based loosely on historical fact. This is such a fun romp with these guys and gals. Interesting character development through the six episodes. Sexy but fun and tasteful with its comedic leanings.
Unplanned (2019)
Authentic, realistic, true story
This is truly one of the best movies to show what happens in abortion clinics, the lies staff are told, how abortion affects families and entire communities. With all the amazing technology we now have available there is simply no question the fetus experiences pain, extreme distress and this is truly a human being. It is worthy viewing with an open heart and mind. The story line is clear, well done and the actors and actresses are exceptional.
