GMO OMG (2013)
Biased, and not informative
It took all of 10 minutes for me to start asking "is he going to present any facts, or will this be entirely him making assumptions?" Didn't take long after that for me to start laughing at it. And not much longer after that i just gave up on it. If you're already anti-GMO you'll probably really enjoy this. If you're hoping for information, on the other hand, don't waste your time. He makes claims about GMOs being bad for you, while also saying there's no credible data about GMOs. What? How does that work? The opening of the movie set the tone perfectly: very biased parents trying to protect their kids from all chemical threats. It's one thing if you actually understand what you're afraid of, but it's another to make a documentary claiming that all GMOs are bad when you don't know what your dealing with. At one point, he says he's ready for a fist fight... hopefully he meant to fight off angry viewers who wasted money on this fact deficient propaganda film.
Left Behind (2014)
remake flop
I was excited to see this remake of the series. I thought Nicholas Cage would bring an interesting element to the movie. What a disappointing realization that most of the movie is just the interior of the jumbo jet. So much focus is put on Cage, that they forgot about the plot line of the book, and original movie. There is so much important information left out because of this that if there is a second movie, it's going to be equally terrible. This version had a dragged-out, boring feel to it. If any over-the-top religious followers try to say that this movie didn't do well because the world is less into God, they are so very wrong. This movie sucks because it was done very poorly. If you're interested in seeing this movie, watch the 90's version. It may have that older feel of the 90's, but at least the whole movie isn't focused on Cage in a plane. And at least it does the actual story justice. Personally, I hope they don't make the second movie.
Death Race 3: Inferno (2013)
If you liked the first two, you'll hate this one.
The Good: the cheesy predictable action, and hot women
The Bad: Death Race: Inferno... Lets face it, there is just too much that is bad about this movie. The acting is listed in most reviews, and in some cases I would agree. The special effects are kind of cheesy too. The plot? Lets just say a screen door would hold water better than this movie could. The plot holes in this movie aren't just small easily-explained-away-with-some-imagination holes... they are huge, gaping, WTF plot holes!
The Ugly: I think this was the conversation that the screenwriters had with the director: "Hey, lets make a third installment!" "Good idea, how will it play in relation to the other movies?" "There are other movies? Oh... I think I can incorporate some of the characters..." "Ok, just pick two and lets do this!" Seriously though, if you think that this will be ANYTHING like the other two... quit while you are ahead. They bring in dead and escaped/freed characters as though the first movie never happened.
Other Notes: This movie, by itself, would be iffy at best... but as a third installment, it looks like a desperate attempt to get more money out of a finished franchise. And special note to the directors and screenwriters: If you are going to make another installment to a series: WATCH THE ***** MOVIES THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO COME BEFORE IT!
