Truly Awesome - I just wish they don't stuff it up in Season 2
8 April 2022
I thought this concept truly was a base of our psychology that my waking life is the mirror of the dreaming life. I thought the cast were excellent and the story engaging particularly in the 2nd half of the series. I just hope that it isn't stuffed up in Series 2. Unfortunately, it is on Apple TV where my membership expires shortly. So I am totally satisfied with the 1st series. Original, I love the characters and care for them. Great work for all who worked on this series.

Good, OK and Rubbish
30 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The first 2 episodes were the best that I watched in setting up this drama, but it seemed to die a bit and at episode 5 it went a bit overboard with a scenario that didn't seem possilble with physical divisions of areas and forced accommodation, but no follow up to this storyline. In addition, one major character seemed to be controlled by others which seemed a little far fetched. Penned by Russell T. Davies, I would expect nothing but gay heroes and straight villains which irks me as he seems unbalanced in how he portrays people on screen. The steamy sex scenes are gay. The not so satisfying, embarrassing and betraying sex was done by straight people. In the family, eco-warriors and the people helping asylum seekers were gay. Betrayers, marriage wreckers and controlling personalities were all straight. I don't expect reality in drama but as he pens more dramas, it does seem as though he has a chip on his shoulder. The only nice straight people were simple.

Plot written by a video gamer
10 November 2019
I really liked Tom Hardy's portrayal of Max but unfortunately the plot is do this, do that and do the other and I felt strangely in the middle of a video game. George Miller would be turning in his grave, if he was dead and hadn't produced this awful addition to a once proud franchise.

Terminator Gets Fat, Grey and Old
10 November 2019
I thought that when machines failed you just scrapped them but this machine is fat and old. Don't waste your money anymore with this franchise. 1 & 2 were great and the rest are rubbish. What made the first 2 movies great was that it was well recognised that Arnie can't act and his wooden acting was perfect for playing a cyborg. Now it is just embarrassing.

The Merchandise is Strong in You
31 December 2017
I don't think you could put in a worse script with plot holes. Mark Hamill's damning of the director was right on but who could have directed such a script that meanders around, rehashes old plot lines, denigrates all Jedi lore before and has completely destroyed a strong franchise. I thought George Lucas' scripts for 1-III were pretty turgid but this is just rubbish. At the end where an apparent new spark is occurring just didn't happened and all that remained was the extermination of the remaining 30 soldiers and under 10's around the galaxy. I can't see how they can make a 3rd film from this effort.

After 2 years, I cannot believe the high overall rating this movie has received. It is not warranted and I think there must be fake reviews or people who hadn't seen previouls Star Wars films. I'm not a die hard Star Wars fan but for a film to completely override it's predecessors is mind boggingly arrogant.

OK but Scandi Version much much better
7 January 2016
Having seen Akta Manniskor aka Real Humans first, I was hoping that the Brits would do a good job. It is a different story but frankly I found it unsatisfying because while the original Series 1 of Real Humans explored so many issues in a caring realistic way that I felt that this lacked a little depth. It didn't have the original series beautiful pacing per episode, and while I love Katherine Parkinson in the IT Crowd, I thought her role as written was not very strong, especially as she is a lawyer/solicitor. Whether it was her characterization or the writing, I think it was a weak point in this series. If you don't like reading sub-titles, by all means enjoy this series. However, if you do like sub-titles by all means watch Real Humans Series 1.

Excellent Series
17 January 2013
So far, I have watched 7 episodes with a further 3 to come. What strikes me about this series is how accessible it is for non sci-fi buffs. It is about how robots can or would evolve within a human environment. With the self actuated robots, there are elements of Blade Runner, but as with most things about TV, this is a great canvas in which to explore plots and character development. I'm so looking forward to the final 3 episodes. This is sci-fi which is not too removed or unimaginable from our current time. It also explores how humans interact and use this technology from all sorts of angles. Looking forward to how the series further unfolds and hope that they don't make another series if they have nothing further to add to this current series. However, at the moment, I can't wait for the next episode.
