Outcast (2016–2017)

Interesting but slow

Outcast begins with an interesting premise, with good actors, environment and stories, but as they pass throw episodes the events are so slow that make the series boring. So far the 7 episodes, just the story of the sister (remember when she was young) and the police's suspicions (the trailer) are the only ones that captures interest to the watcher. About the rest, almost nothing interesting happens. If they don't change the dynamics of the story, this TV series will die soon. Maybe the main line of the script, about possessions and stuff, could be faster, or maybe you can focus on more drama stories, like the woman close to the preacher and the son. Outcast needs a change for sure.

Mr. Robot (2015–2019)

You need a technology consultant

The series begins with an interesting premise (words about the control of the world), but quickly tries to show a "strong and bizarre" character as Dr House, Lie To Me, etc. But what it is really striking is that the images, procedures and words are overly ridiculous, and there are far from what a true hacker is. ¿IPs that begins with 400? Nobody knows about the existence of root-kits in a security company? You are a hacker because you uses KDE? Come on, it's absolutely ridiculous. I'll give him one more chapter of opportunity. PD: one more thing: if you knows something about internet and security and believes you are a hacker, don't put proofs about your crimes in dvds. Think about it.

Tratame bien (2009)

Great TV show

This fiction its a great TV show produced by Canal 13. The stories between characters are all delicious, for example the father character (Julio Chavez) with his ex-friend (Alfredo Casero) and recent boyfriend of his little daughter. The father of the family (José) has anxiety problems, and the mother (Sofía) has problems with alcohol. This fiction its a perfect combination between good characters, actors (Chavez, Roth, Casero, Briski), and scripts. I can't compare with an US show. Its different. Maybe you can think in Sopranos because the therapists and the conflicts in the family, but it doesn't have action or blood.

Sleeper Cell (2005–2006)

Interesting... but quite enough

If you watch this series you will get an interesting 10 chapters about a sleeper cell's story and each characters. And more intense with a FBI's infiltrate.

Nice story, nice characters and performs, but something is wrong (for me, of course). The final is wrong. You wait ten chapters hoping a great final (it doesn't matters if they fulfill its objectives or not) but.. well... I think is not enough. Its a small final for a big series. Also I hoped more definitions about characters stories.

But, I repeat, it's and interesting miniseries. If you don't want to wait with large series (22-24 chapters), watch it. I give 7 of 10.

The Holy Girl (2004)

Horrible movie

When you film a movie you can use your freedom to make whatever you want: you can tell a story or just put the focus on a segment of people's life and nothing more. For example, Lost In Translation is simple. Maybe you don't have a perfect start, middle and end. Just a couple of days of an actor. But its clear and have a drama behind. You feel the ambiance.

La Niña Santa it's a very poor try to use this kind of direction. It's not clear, it's not entertainment, it's not drama. Just people (you do not know who is each one), a place (where?), some relations (incomprehensibles) and little less than two hours boring. Bad idea (if exists one).

Some critics loves this movie. So, first watch it. Later you'll tell me that I'm right.

Guess Who (2005)

No, no, no!. What happen to you people? Again the same story about a man visiting the girlfriend's parents. Again and again. It seem's like the script was stolen from "Meet the Parents" or another "exactly the same" movie. I can't believe that! OK guys: we know that in Hollywood the new ideas doesn't appear, but this is ridiculous. If you not have ideas, donate the money, but this...

Poor Ashton Kutcher: when it seemed that her work was ascending, again fall down. I don't know why filmed this movie: one year ago worked on "My Boss's Daughter" (same comedies style).

I have 5 stars because I'm a good man.

The Pacifier (2005)

There was a time when Disney makes good movies

OK, I put it simple: there's nothing original on this movie.

Use Arnold S., Disney family comedies and a wrong try to make fun to Diesel. That's all.

But does is not the problem. The problem is that Disney is similar to say "quality", and we can't say that here. Not when the movie is too "light", also for the kids. I think that the movie was made to make some money on vacations seasons.

To produce more movies maybe is an error.

I'm sorry, but forget this work. I'm still believe in Diesel and Disney, but in differences ways.

Epitafios (2004–2009)

Great work, but nothing new.

Epitafios is a well done latin TV series, no more, no less. Perfect music, sound, direction, production and great actors, but the story has a little of others thrillers movies and series like Seven, Silence of the lambs, etc. We call that: "creative inspiration".

Maybe it could be better if had has less than twelve chapters (four or five, no more). But still a HBO/Suar good idea, because promotes the latin movie/TV works and we want and need this kind of stuff.

Argentina, Brazil and Chile are making goods jobs in this industry, and Epitafios is another example of that.
