Andor (2022)
So Well Made.
This show blew me away! The cinematography and visuals are stunning and beautiful. The world building is grounded, solid and appears very realistic. It feels like an authentic George Lucas, Pre Disney era Star Wars universe. You can hardly tell that the sets they use for production have been manufactured beforehand. The plot and sub plots are paced very well and the overall story, though some might consider as a bit of a slow burner at first, nonetheless never lags behind or drags on without direction, logic and well written dramatic performances. Plenty of good action and good exposition to keep the viewers involved in the episodes. Love the dialogue, and the passion of the show to make good content and maintain a strong commitment to the continuity of the established Star Wars franchise. The characters are so good! The cast is simply amazing. This is what you want to see when you watch a movie or a television series. So well made. It's honestly just as good as the Mandalorian. It took me a while to come to that conclusion. Definitely worth watching.
Wednesday (2022)
Most Addictive Show on Netflix
The cast is phenomenal! You can't help but feel for the characters and what they are going through on screen. The dialogue between the characters is excellent, the pace of the story is nearly perfect and the chemistry between various characters onscreen is something that stays with you long after you finish the series. There's also a genuine element of mystery built into the overarching thematic stratagems of the show, and at times it makes you wonder what's going to happen next. Tim Burton did a wonderful job putting this together and hats off once again to Netflix for making yet another fantastic show that stands on its own. It's worth mentioning that I had doubts in the beginning as I watched the pilot episode about whether Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán were going to be good in this new interpretation for Gomez and Morticia. It did not take long to see while they were chosen for their leading roles in the cast. They were outstanding. This show is addictive! Of course, Jenna Ortega's portrayal of Wednesday in the series was epic. I can't imagine anyone else ever playing this role after seeing her performance in this series.
No wonder it is said that this is the most addictive show on Netflix right now.
