Very interesting film that reminds me of pet cemetery. There was just a little bit to much nudity for my taste but it wasn't overly excessive to the point of diminishing the movie. When I see many of the reviews for this film I have to wonder if the reviewers watch many low budget horror movies. You either understand and enjoy this kind of film or you don't. there is a whole lot of subtext in this film. The main problem for me is that it isn't in English and reading the subtitles takes me out of the film, and makes it harder to catch nuances in it too. All in all as far as b or foreign horror gives, this is well acted, shot, edited and the story isn't out in left field. The pace will be a bit slow for some viewers. A great Netflix night pick. I'd love see an American remake.

Pointless

I watched this movie when I was younger and enjoyed it, now....it just seems boring. There are no likable characters, the script does a poor job of even letting you get to know anyone but jimmy. It isn't funny, not at all so I'm not sure why it is classified as a comedy. Honestly jimmy just doesn't have that much happen to him, other than lots of sex. Watching this now it just falls flat. There is no lesson learned, no great friendships explored, no amazing love story here. Jimmy doesn't seem to really care about anyone but himself. You get the idea ( due to the narration), that jimmy does indeed become a writer...but that's not explored either. His writing is actually just a side note in the story . It's almost as if somewhere in there a good story existed, but they don't finish telling it or something. It's really just a movie about a selfish person, surrounded by selfish people...who is really nave about life and has no clue what he wants to do, other than girls of course. This movie s devoid of purpose and fairly vapid.

I love horror anthologies, so maybe im biased. i try to watch every anthology that comes out and i usually enjoy them. However,, this was truly an entertaining film. I'm really surprised at the poor reviews and those who accused the staff of writing reviews. If you like tales from the darkside, these stories are very similar. The acting, stories, and spfx are all on the same par as that show. The stories are pg 13 level scary and fun to watch. I sometimes wonder what people expect from a low budget horror movie and this movie by FAR out does most indi horror out there just because it's watchable! If I had a complaint, it would be that the pace in some of the stories is a bit slow. I really think you can't review a low budget film the same way you would, say, Ironman. That said this movie is a strong 7 and would be an 8 if the pacing was a bit faster! Happy viewing!
