The Recruit (2022)
Is this a sitcom?
Utterly unbelievable as a thriller. This has to be a sitcom right? It's shot like one. It asks the viewer to suspend disbelief like one. It stars sitcoms actors. I can't think of another explanation.
Do yourself a favor and go watch Slow Horses if you want a real spy show. Because this show is so ridiculous that I can't imagine any of this actually happening.
Why would the general counsel be so involved with a new recruit. That's not how the real world works. Why would an ATTORNEY travel to a restricted country to ask a simple question as a follow up to an investigation. Why would he then be sent into a dangerous op without proper training. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
Unless it's a sitcom. If that's the case, then it's just dumb.
Santa Inc. (2021)
Great new adult animation
Racists are review bombing this show, and I'm surprised that Amazon's content moderators haven't corrected this already. What gives??
But seriously this is a funny, raunchy comedy in the same vein as so many other contemporary adult animated shows. If that's not your taste, then you probably won't enjoy. But it's a great cast with a fresh setting, and I would recommend it to my friends.
The Great North: Brace/Off Adventure (2021)
Absolutely miserable start for Season 2
The whole episode is a musical, and very poor one at that. It was hard to follow the plot because of the incessant musical numbers. If this is the new direction of the show, then I'm probably done, which makes me sad because Season 1 was excellent.
WandaVision (2021)
Started strong
This show started with a creative premise, but quickly devolved into your typical superhero story with cheesy, unbelievable sci-fi tropes and banal fight sequences. Not worth watching past the first few episodes if you're not a fan of the superhero shtick.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: The Gang Hits the Slopes (2016)
A beautiful homage to Ski School
If you've seen the 1991 classic "Ski School," then you'll love this amazing parody starring some of the original cast! Absolutely my favorite episode of IASIP. Each character fits into the narrative of the movie in such an awesome way!
