Class Action Park (2020)
No Action, Real Stark (but how do I get a ticket)
"Class Action Park is a true Crime Story" give or take a direct quote from the trailer for this documentary. Now I don't know how I was supposed to be left feeling after viewing this. Some will be filled with anger towards the park and park director and what follows. But I also think this glorified the park and most will be filled with nostalgia and a eagerness to go to Action Park even if that is impossible in this age. The latter is how I felt. I felt that the negatives were even somewhat talked about in a positive way. 80% of the time everyone was smiling and happy even in the sad parts. Might have just been me though but sign me up for a season pass. If you want to learn about Action Park watch this but you aren't missing anything.
Raised by Wolves (2020)
Sci FREAKING Fi!!
The true pioneer of SciFi does it again. Raised By Wolves is HBO MAX's first blockbuster original and if this is any indication of the future of the streaming service I think signing up may be in order. After the first three episodes were released every Thursday I was left wanting more and more. Acting is darn near perfect. Mother and Father both are played out tremendously well. Campion is going to a the next child star. There is not an insane amount of action but enough to drive the story along when it's needed. But it's not needed often do to how well this is written. If you love SciFi or a fan of Ridley's prior movies. Give this a shot. Raised By Wolves has already been signed for a second season and I can't wait.
Lovecraft Country (2020)
Once a book. Now an HBO Masterpiece
Now this will not be for everyone. For many reasons. First This show was released in a time where it will not be received well by some with what is happening in the real world politically/civilly and in others eyes it was released at the perfect time to showcase what we need to see (2020). Not only is this show a great science fiction shown by JJ Abrams production but also a no bars held look into the 1950s civil rights movement shown throw Jordan Peele's genius. That, put together in the mind of Misha Green and you have HBOs Lovecraft Country. If you have just 10 spare hours somewhere in your pandemic filled year give this show a shot. The acting, the music, there really isn't anything wrong with this show besides it's confusing. Confusing as hell. But confusing in the most beautifully puzzling ways. Now most people will dive into the reddit and spoilers to figure out what's going on but naturally it will and is till to unravel. But some of the craziest episodes ever witnessed and just head scratching scenes will make you come back Sunday to Sunday. Hopefully the last two episodes will be the ending we are all hoping for. Strap in and get ready it's time to head to Lovecraft Country.
