Having lived in Las Vegas, and knowing some of the people involved in these shows, the shows are all scripted. Almost none of the encounters with "new"people are real.
For this particular show, the shop used to be one of my customers. If you think Danny is a jerk on TV, you ought to see him in real life. He was arrogant before he got on TV. I was actually there the first day they were filming for the pilot episode. I have been leaving pens and notepads for my company for years, but if I wanted to leave them going forward I had to pay them in case it was showing up on TV. I don't care about TV. I just wanted to do my job. His employees were nice, but he was arrogant because he had money.
