Provokes emotions about real issues
10 March 2021
For all the NON-TECHNICAL SO-CALLED FILM CRITICS. This movie was excellent. I love emotional attachment movies that provoke real emotions. This tells the reality of thousands of people left to die in a cold non-loving Mental nursing home. The new nurse (MED-STUDENT) makes a real connection with an aging dying man whom she finds out was a famous Cuban Musician. She goes outside the guidelines to bring him some kind of forgotten normalcy from a world he forgot due to dementia and Alzheimer's. Though this she also finds herself as does her aunt whom she lives with. I have been to Mental nursing homes that are cold, un-caring on a personal level and just go through the motions until the patient dies. Is sad and tragic reality. No dignity, and apparently no love form family members who cannot or choose not to care for them anymore. I thought the music was excellent, the acting very good, I could care less about the lighting or film angles, it was the story i enjoyed. Please don't be harsh about this movie. It should be getting better rating. Louis Gossett dies a great job being a Patient. Would you rather live out he end of your life in joyous memories or in a cold un-loving darkness?

True events... not true facts...

Warning: Spoilers
Hello I thought the movie was am awesome movie, however I did some research on the 1988 Texas High school playoffs. I went to one of the Texas High school Power house schools in Football, THE CONVERSE JUDSON ROCKETS, and Know that the events weren't very accurate after watching the movie. Yes Odessa Permian (THE MOJO) is a Powerhouse in Texas High school football and definitely Dallas-Carter is always a Powerhouse.. But the actual way the 1988 playoff's went as follows. Odessa Permian played Dallas Carter in the State Semi Finals Losing to them. Dallas Carter was under speculation of several school sports violations during that game but played anyway. Dallas Carter then Went on to play the JUDSON ROCKETS from Converse Texas. They beat Judson, but forfeited the Championship to Judson due to Conflicts and Rules violations and Ineligble Players. I was disappointed to see that the story wasn't as accurate as people had said. BUT there is a truth to how big Texas HIGH SCHOOL football really is. The Movie overall was very good and emotional.

Awesome

Hello I just re watched the movie again now that I own it on DVD, this has to be The BEST , depiction of Jesus's Last and Final Hours,, THis movie Moved me to tears, especially, as being a parent myself, the part when Mary Watched Jesus fall when Carrying the Cross and She went to him, and the flashback to when he was a child just tore through my heart, although we can all speculate what happened in between the words written in the Gospel or Bible but I feel this was a very accurate Movie. THe Romans were known through History as being the most cruelest of people, and it was the High priests that had Jesus Condemmned. I also loved the guilt visualized by Judas in the forms of Demons that was just a great move for the affect. I Feel in my heart this Movie as well as the Movie Jesus of Nazareth are the Two best movies ever made about Jesus.
