Deadliest Catch: Bloodline (2020)
Terrible spinoff
Deadliest Catch is great to because off the drama with the weather, quotas, danger etc. This is just some guys fishing. Josh was lazy and not overly bright on the crab bost. And now he is even worse.
Guy's Chance of a Lifetime (2022)
Another food show circus
Silly premise notwithstanding, it's about gathering a diverse group of ridiculous characters with limited talent. Ultimately, it has very little about actual cooking, but more of a comidic farse. One of the msny reasons that the Food Network has lost so.much credibility over the years.
Alex Vs. America (2022)
Same old stuff
As much as I like Alex, there is nothing new here. It's an amalgam of other shows. Also the host a bit lost and boring. Hopefully, it will improve as the season progresses.
Mr Inbetween: Socks Are Important (2019)
Tense and intense
This episode hits a new high in an already amazing show. The cast does not get overly dramatic throughout this crisis. It just builds up the tension to a particularly startling conclusion. I can't remember too many times feeling this level of immersion into a tv show. Kudos to all involved
Pandora (2019)
Insultingly stupid
After the 1st 10 minutes. I wanted the lead character to die. She is just terrible both because of writing and acting. Like others , I watched the entire episode and felt my brain cells dying..... If this isn't cancelled mid-season , it would be an insult to tv viewers...
Deadly Class (2018)
Tried to like it , but
I thought the concept was interesting and was hoping for some clever use of the idea. BUT, it turned out to be just an iteration of 90210 for killers. It is impossible to like 90% of the characters. Just a bunch of petulant children who think the world owes them something ....lol ... uhhhh life is hard.. deal with it ...
The Orville (2017)
Disappointing on many levels
I really wanted to like this considering McFarlane's genius on Family Guy, But this is a blatant PC agenda with mediocre writing and acting. Too many punch line setups that you can see coming a mile a way. I watched the first few minutes of S2 and turned it off. I really don't need that gay stuff shoved in my face when it has absolutely nothing to do with the plot. Sad, sad, sad I expected so much more from him.
Nightflyers (2018)
Phone in writing
****spoilers***
I was liking this for the first few episodes, even though it seems that the characters were totally inappropriate for a professional mission like this. The whole ship taken over by an entity in the mainframe has been done to death all the way back to the early Star Treks.... Ok , all that being said . it was, until the final episode , as least tolerable. But the ending was just an incredible act of laziness and incompetence. Just fill the required episodes and the hell with any logical solution to all the loose ends. Martin.. .. shame on you ...
The Purge (2018)
just silly
If you even get by the terrible acting . the plot, writing and concept, you are still faced with presentation which is just a joke . There is no reality whatsoever
Salvation (2017)
Same old nonsense
Struggled through the first episode. Terrible acting with the same old world ending scenario. The genius kid gets to act like an idiot but is the hero. Same old government conspiracy stuff. The usual side plots of the mother debating whether to tell her daughter, the love interest of the main character, which does nothing for the plot. Save your time and watch something intelligent.
Zoo (2015)
Season 2 flop
Unfortunately, they decided to leave the realm of nature and go into the world of the ridiculous. No real transition from last season's plat to the new season. Remote control animals and tacky CGI mutants? Too bad they went for the cheap theatrics that so many shows do. It is just endemic low intellect filler. Sad
