Ares (2020)
Will we get a Season 2?
First off, I was impressed with the direction, mood and tone.
I'm still waiting for a full understanding of what's going on and I don't think that was accomplished in this first season... not sure if that was intentional or fell through the cracks.
Overall, I do appreciate the creator/writers pushing the envelope and giving us viewers a different plot and twist to thriller/horror series. I'm here for more. Of course we/I can critic and breakdown everything wrong with this first Season but with all the subpar content online and television.
Let's see how Season 2 goes then I can give you more story feedback.
I'm just happy to be given a new plot and twist and I'm so glad you didn't use cheesy camera/edit tricks with horrible effects to show the murders - the killings were In your face and gruesome! Kudos.
Inside (2006)
Well Done!
From the storyline and direction. Kudos. The suspense and mystery was definitely there. I found myself screaming at the television a few times wondering whats to happen next or guessing the finale. I was expecting so many different outcomes and totally didn't expect the ending along with the message on grieving and coping with lost ones. I enjoy a good eerie movie and each character had a unusual presence which kept you wondering who's the crazy one here. Cheryl White (Alice Smith) was awesome. She nailed her role visually and in performance. But overall with a few locations, a small cast, and a small budget. Quite impressive and well thought out, I can't wait to see more of the director's work! A must see if you are into original Suspense/Thriller flicks.
