Dynasty: Parisian Legend Has It... (2019)
TWO in a Row... again a GREAT episode!!!
I couldn't believe my eyes, after one of the best episodes and one of the best finales in the CW Dynasty (2x13) we discovered the resolution from 3 weeks ago and felt sad for Cristal and Blake. Sad too for Mark... RIP. But everything in Paris was so beautiful, and we were happy to see Steven one more time. And the Carringtons from France, a good homage to Ben and Leslie Carrin gton, now Juliette. The plot twist, introducing the real Adam was unexpected and sad... again, because what he did to Steven (Cheerio!) but a real improvement for the whole season and series. Eager to see Adam coming to the manse and being welcome as a true -but deadly dangerous- Carrington!
Dynasty: Even Worms Can Procreate (2019)
That's DYNASTY!!!!
After so many bad comedy episodes... here comes the drama! And Mark Jennings! And the iconic miscarriage of Cristal in a shocking twist from the original! That's the DYNASTY reboot we were waiting since the finale episode of season one!!!! First time since the fire in Sam and Steven's wedding I was eager to watch the next episode! And not being a season finale we must wait 3 long weeks to see it!
Dynasty: That Witch (2018)
OH NO! Not again!
A Wizard of Oz spoof in Dynasty??? Can't be possible! Not the worst episode but silliest one! The tornado took my hope for a better drama series (again) and was gone with the wind!!!
Dynasty: Queen of Cups (2018)
After the worst episode, some hope...
If previous episode, the infanous "Paraguay" episode, almost made me stop watching this series, this new episode gave me some hope in the future and it was a good fastforward vision in the form of Adriana, the psychic or fortune teller... A great hommage to the same character in the 80's Dynasty, foretelling Alexis destiny: marrying a powerful and rich man... that will die! (Cecil Colby as we watched at the beginning of season 3). We don't know if the new Alexis will marry such a powerful man in the reboot (maybe the new Adriana was a bad psychic after all) but I could see her returning to Atlanta in season 3 with a new face... and a new status: a rich wife or a very rich widow!
Dynasty: Snowflakes in Hell (2018)
Worst episode of CW Dynasty
This is the episode that almost made me stop watching this reboot. Ridiculous and bad bad comedy in a drama show!
Dynasty: Motherly Overprotectiveness (2019)
Best episode of Dynasty 2017
Love the way Adam is introduced in this episode as a real Carrington after meeting him in the final scene of previous episode. Original Adam was sick and evil in the 80's Dynasty, but this Adam is worse, a dangerous cobra, thirsty for revenge! The flashback scenes form his past in Billings are a great hommage to Adam/Michael classic origin story. And finally, the final scene, Nicolette Sheridan's Alexis exit it's shocking, even cruel, but it's a great dramatic cliffhanger and the perfect way to justify the recast of the character with another actress.
After so many episodes thinking the CW Dynasty was a bad sitcom about the rich and being a real fan of the classic Dynasty since 1982, I LOVE the turning point that started with episode 2x13 and somehow the old publicity tag: It's not just drama it's DYNASTY, sounds great again with this new one!
Central Park West (1995)
Best soap of the 90's
I'm a fan of the prime time soaps of the 80's (DALLAS, DYNASTY, KNOTS LANDING & FALCON CREST) until 1989, the ones that entered the 90's became a shadow of what they were in the beginning (Only KNOTS was good until the penultimate season, last one was a mess but had a great final episode). With the 90's I missed a prime time soap opera with the quality of early Dallas, KL or Dynasty... I never liked Melrose Place or Models... Then CPW came in and I was excited. I know the series didn't had the success it deserved and changed by mid season, becoming more Dynastic with ambitious Raquel Welch marrying Lauren Hutton's ex-husband to see him die in her arms... inheriting his fortune??? We didn't know, because the series was canceled at that precise moment. I enjoyed all the episodes, but I must say the first ones, were the best. And I love the character of Carrie Fairchild, maybe because she was like the first Fallon (Pamela Sue Martin) Carrington my favorite Dynasty character: a spoiled rich girl, intelligent, cunning and ambitious to get what she wanted.
