It might have a time and place...

...but Cartoon Network is NOT the proper target for this thing. I could see this show on, say, Nick Jr. Maybe Boomerang? I do not understand why CN keeps trying to break into the toddler market. This show needs the kind of home where people don't expect much. Bottom line, it's really not great. Same old jokes, same old plot lines. Please stop.

Being different does not make it bad

I feel like most of the negative reviewers on here haven't even watched the show, or at least a majority of the available episodes. Lazy ratings are lazy, and comparing this show to 'Harvey Birdman' is definitely the lazy way to go.

In my opinion, 'Birdgirl' absolutely checks the boxes to make it a refreshing change on AS. The stories are entertaining, easy to understand, and light hearted. Pile on a really great voice cast and smart writing, and even the reruns hold up for me after multiple viewings. Personally, I'm glad that 'Birdgirl' keeps its own identity. There are too many other cookie cutter shows out there already, and trying to make this one just a 1:1 gender swap would have been a mistake.

Ignore the naysayers-don't let them have their wish.

This was not the greatest movie that has ever been created. BUT in my opinion, it did exactly what it intended. WW84 was an entertaining movie the whole way through.

Do you remember how superhero movies actually started? Not the Christian Bale Batman... not the Halle Berry Catwoman. I'm talking the Adam West, George Reeves, Burgess Meredith days. Now everything has to be so serious. This wasn't supposed to be a graphic novel that turned into 'The Walking Dead'. Instead, this was a beautifully crafted, well-acted, and super fun action movie based on comic books. They might have been serious in their own way, but they were not real.

This movie did a great job of bridging the gap. So if you want to be entertained, just let yourself be entertained. But if you want to argue that something which is entirely made up from fantasy is just not realistic enough... that a plot that revolves around supernatural powers and a gorgeous woman that can fly doesn't obey the laws of physics... well, I'm just sorry for you. Maybe the people who trash this movie would rather go see another Transformers?

In a world that is hurting and torn and lonely, misery loves company. People want to mock things that they don't understand because it gives them just a little more meaning. They always want more, right? And what do they give for it? I will watch this movie again, and I bet even the "miserable trolls" will too.

Give this one a REAL chance
29 November 2020
If you go into this show looking for faults and expecting to hate it, you probably will. But for those of you that aren't sheep, give this show a good chance, and (my personal opinion) it will probably reel you in until you actually look forward to it.

There is some super weirdness to it, but it's Adult Swim, and that's kind of what most A.S. fans expect. It's entertaining, it's smart, it has some really interesting concepts, and it's really well acted.
