The Batman (2022)
Global, dramatic, politically correct, huge... huge piece of ....
If this was a title on its own, if this was just an action movie then it would be really great. However, when you are building and trying to earn on a legacy of Dark Knight trilogy and all the movies with Christian Bale and Heath Ledger's joker character, this looks so weak, politically correct and a huge disappointment. There are things you should not try change and re-do. This movie is a solid 6 or 7 on its own for the scale and for the hard work done but since it carries the legacy that is up there it simply doesn't get up there. So my rating is a 5, simply for the scale and the name...
IMDb on the Scene - Interviews: The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
Its like driving your dream car and getting disappointed
There are certain movies that shape the movie industries for decades to come. The original Matrix from 1999 was so fresh and shocking that up to this date it is unbelievably good and even though the second and the third movies were not on par with the original one they were still very solid.
That said, anything that is based on the initial Matrix legacy will be so much more anticipated and expected by millions of fans, therefore the disappointment will be even worst if the movie fails to deliver.
And to my great disappointment this one failed to deliver. Even compared to a 22 year old original movie the cinematography and the atmosphere, in my personal opinion, are on a very mediocre level similar to that of low budget Asylum movies. The cast play is also something I would not want to see in anything related to Matrix.
I have no idea how they made our beloved Keanu to participate in this thing.
As I said, movies such a Matrix are benchmark for most of us, especially millennials, and when they fail, it hurts even more.
I hope they will stop making more sequels and prequels of Matrix as they have proven that they can only harm the legacy with this.
