2012 (2009)
The greatest disaster movie of all time!
Once again the master of disaster Roland Emmerich provides us with a non stop thrill ride, with laughs and drama along the way. I'd say out of all the movies I have seen this year(meaning blockbusters) this would be number 6. Along the ride we have an amazing cast including John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Oliver Platt, Thandie Newton, Danny Glover and Woody Harrelson who all give great performances especially in the more dramatic moments. The screenplay written by Roland Emmerich and composer Harold Kloser was very original and great. The scene that sticks out most in my head is when they need to escape California, I was definitely on the edge of my seat.
Go see this film!
Star Trek (2009)
Truly amazing film
From start to finish you are just on the edge of your seat, I mean the opening was truly epic with a lot of amazing visuals. The acting from everyone was perfect, with everything mixing in well like the humor. I loved the way everyone played each other really well and loved the scenes with Kirk, McCoy, Spock, and Sulu. Great movie, I think my favorite movie of all time. I think everyone matches well with the character and also gives something new, I also loved Uhura, she was so hott in this movie, I'd say Kirk and Spock stood out the most though(just like everyone thought) You really need to get up and go see it you will fall in love with it.
The Dark Knight (2008)
The Dark Knight- Best superhero film ever made
This movie can be put into so many words, but here's just one...EXCELLENT. Once again Christopher Nolan teams up with the wonderful Christian Bale with also some other new characters like The Joker which is definitely the best Villain I have ever witnessed in my life. Heath Ledger(1978-2008) gives his best performance ever in this movie, totally Oscar worthy. Harvey Dent, which is played wonderfully by Aaron Eckhart, especially when he becomes Two-Face. And then we have Maggie Gyllenhaal who gives a terrific performance as Bruce Wayne's love Rachel Dawes. Please do go see this film you will be very glad you did.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
The best movie of the year, and my favorite movie, EVER
This was definitely the best movie I have seen in my life. Just because there's CGI doesn't mean its a bad movie. The acting, GREAT, the story, GREAT, the music, GREAT. I can go on and on and on with that list but it could never get finished cause it's to damn good. So please don't listen to those idiots who cry and complain about how there's CGI, I mean come on people there's killer ants in the movie did you really want them to look for thousands of years for killer ants? and you got to give a hand to David Koepp for giving us back the Indiana Jones that we will never forget with an adventure that will keep you with laughs, action, and overall great entertainment.

Cloverfield (2008)
Better in the Theatres, but still good
Back when this movie went to theatres, I went to see it. There, the experience was great, you felt like you were there with Rob, Hud, Lily, and Marlene(spelling?)I thought the action, the thrills just everything was perfect. So after a few months, I decided to check it out on DVD, so when I got it I was excited to get to see the movie I have been waiting for so long. But after I got through about 30 minutes of it, it got kind of boring. It wasn't as thrilling, I felt as if I was watching War Of the Worlds(Not saying it was a bad movie AT ALL) I say that because it was just like watching a movie, it wasn't as if I were there. But still if you like Monster movies, and you have nothing to do, go up to the local Video Store and rent it. Still good, but not as good as in the theatres.
