What Is a Woman? (2022)
How about you actually watch it?
It looks like this has already been said, but the majority of the people complaining about the movie and giving it a negative review have never seen it. It wasn't a perfect documentary, but it was very insightful and asked difficult questions that people don't always want to answer. I'd recommend this film to everybody.
Hiyama Kentarô no ninshin (2022)
I actually watched this
Pay no attention to the negative reviews that call this woke garbage. Don't get me wrong, it is woke garbage, but I actually watched this. Most of the other reviewers have not. In summary, this was a very bad painfully unfunny series. Please do yourself a favor and skip this show.
Life After Death with Tyler Henry (2022)
Grieving and vulnerable
I get what Tyler is trying to do, but he goes after people that are grieving, vulnerable, and desperate for closure. It's hard to view this as a feel good show when he's taking advantage of the people he's supposed to be helping.
Christmas Wedding Planner (2017)
Just plain bad
Let me start off by saying that I enjoy cheesy feel good Christmas movies. This movie was neither cheesy or feel good. It was just plain bad. Please save yourself time and do not watch this. Find something else to watch and enjoy your holiday season.
Dave Chappelle: The Closer (2021)
Funny, honest, and brilliant.
This was a good way to end his Netflix specials. It was humorous, but also realistic. I don't think people realize that they are proving his point by getting so upset. Most of the people that are angry didn't even watch the special. I say you watch the special for yourself and then make your decision on how you feel about it.
Home Economics: Mermaid Taffeta Wedding Dress, $1,999 (2021)
What was the point?
Ruining someone's wedding isn't funny. I don't know whose idea that was.
Namaste Wahala (2021)
Good message, poorly executed
The message of this movie was very good, however it was poorly poorly executed. The acting was very bad, I mean really bad. The plot was beyond cliché, and the movie was an overall mess. I'd skip this movie unless you have nothing else to watch.
The Legend of Korra: Korra Alone (2014)
Amazing episode
This is one of the best episodes of the entire series. I think they did a very good job accurately portraying PTSD, as well as showing how alone Korra felt.
Mum, Dad, Meet Sam (2014)
Calling this movie awful is an understatement
This movie was truly awful. The main characters had no chemistry. The acting was horrendous. I have seen better acting from high schoolers. The plot was boring and predictable. I lost interest about 30 minutes in, but kept watching with the hope that it would get better. I was wrong, it got worse. Overall, this was a terrible movie that I wish I never would have watched. I felt like I wasted an hour and a half of my life that I will never get back. Do yourself a favor and skip this movie.
The Posthuman Project (2014)
Absolutely Terrible
This film was absolutely horrible.
I'll get to the point. The plot was terrible. I would be surprised if anyone could make it past 20 minutes without turning this mess off. It was extremely predictable, and I do not see the point of watching a movie if you already know what is going to happen.
The acting was awful. It was more like a high school play that was double cast, and that this was the alternate cast.
The graphics are basically non-existent. And the graphic layout has been done in practically every superhero movie, so it did not add anything new.
I'll be blunt, skip this movie. It is terrible. Even if there is nothing else to watch, find something. Don't waste your time on this outrageously awful film.
Also, the director cannot blame the budget for how terrible this movie is. I have seen better feature length films made on a smaller budget.
Lastly, don't waste your time watching this movie. Find something else to do with an hour and a half of your time. There has got to be something better to do that wasting your time watching The Posthuman Project.
Parade's End (2012)
A Contrary View
I hardly ever leave reviews, but in the case of Parade's End I feel that I must. Other than the costumes, cinematography, and war scenes, Parade's End was just not very good.
Christopher Tietjens (Cumberbatch) is an honor bound man that will always do what is right. Benedict's acting was amazing. Rebecca Hall, who plays his wife Sylvia was amazing as well. She did an excellent job portraying a beautiful, conniving, and narcissistic woman. It's so sad that such great acting was not put to good use. The plot was all over the place and the characters had no real depth. The actress that played Valentine was hardly ever there. Her character was only on screen for a few minutes each episode.
By the last episode there were too many unresolved plot lines and too many loose ends that never got tied up. I found myself just wanting it to end.
I'd also like to mention that Parade's End is a very slow paced drama that will test the will of even the most patient person.
If you want to watch a miniseries with superb acting, beautiful costumes, no viable plot line, and horrible character development, then Parade's End is the show for you.
