Littlest Pet Shop (2012)
I LOVE this show
I LOVE this show. It's one of the many entertaining sitcoms. I don't see how anyone can dislike it. It's amazing. It shouldn't matter if such animals as pandas and monkeys can't really do in real-life the things the characters do (such as painting and making things). Otherwise, why are there shows that involve a family of wizards, such as Disney's "Wizards of Waverly Place"? People love My Little Pony (I do too), but even *that* show has characters who do stuff that horses/ponies can't do in real-life: riding on a scooter, building a barn, making pies, etc. Both shows are super awesome. I hope that they never end. I hope I'll get to see Season 16 (LPS is going to its 3rd season, MLP is going into its 5th season). A 16th season is beyond what any sitcom in the entire world has done, and can never do unless the show has that extraordinary touch.
Frozen (2013)
Frozen is the best
No loose adaptation of the Snow Queen tale can beat this movie. It's the best. I love the songs, the outfits (especially Elsa's coronation dress and Snow Queen dress), Anna's bubbly and cheerful personality and cuteness, I love the effects (hair blowing, footprints in snow, white clouds forming in the frigid air when the characters speak, the snow), I love everything about it. And I especially love how they made the Act of True Love; sacrificing your life for a sister you never saw for 13 years and didn't understand why she shut you out until after those years is really something. I mean, Elsa most likely was almost a stranger to Anna. And people don't have feelings for those they don't know (otherwise go to a store, look at someone and ask yourself what you feel about that person). Her sisterly love for Elsa is one of things that make Anna so special. And it's bigger than Elsa's sacrifice of shutting her out to not harm her from the icy powers Elsa has.
Rapunzel oder Der Zauber der Tränen (1988)
Beautiful
This is the best live-action film of Rapunzel, in my opinion. And it has a combination of Maid Maleen, which takes place after Rapunzel escapes from the tower (she escapes after the Prince becomes blind and Rapunzel is left in the tower all by herself). Interesting, the actress (Sylvia Wolff) who plays Rapunzel, looks strikingly like Shelley Duvall, who portrayed as Rapunzel in her own episode of the fairytale (she's the one who co-worked in all the Faerie Tale Theatre episodes). I give a 10 out of 10 and a must-watch. And guess what! I don't even understand it, since it's German. I've seen a lot of foreign fairytale adaptations, actually. I don't think any other can compare to this masterpiece; it'd have to be done realistically
Aschenputtel (2010)
very nice
I really like it, although I watched it without understanding it. But I drew out a lot of what was going on. Although Ashenputtel (her name is Marie, but called Ashenputtel later on) only has 1 stepsister and not 2, she's treated more unfairly than in other adaptations where she has 2 stepsisters (which of course is the original number). Even though Marie's father knows (he should know, otherwise he doesn't know his daughter very well) that Marie is a good girl, he believes almost everything he's told by his new wife and stepdaughter (remember, I don't understand it. It's German, so I may not be telling the entire truth as for THIS paragraph). He seems bewitched.
I LOVE the dresses she wears to the 3 balls. Mostly the second one, as well as the hairstyle. And seeing that the stepmom and her daughter recognized Marie from the second to the last ball, I was afraid they'd do something right there, which they did only on the next day at home. Oooh, I love the end. Marie locked into a room, unconscious. She wakes up when there's a fire, and the Prince goes in (after the shoe is revealed to not really fit the stepsister). When he unlocks the door, he picks up Marie and they kiss, and he brings her out. Ohhhh, this was so unexpected. So romantic.
Anyways, Marie riding a mice-turned-into-a-horse to all the Balls may be just what it'll be like in the 2015 adaptation, as the picture shows her riding a horse. And I find it a bit cute, because it's quicker. You can't go as fast when you're in a carriage that weighs a lot.
