The Gentlemen (2024)
When a screenwriter is involved with himself
Feels unnatural, as if the screenwriter is playing all the characters. I saw the he original movie of which the series is based on and it was ok but the series didn't feel real.
People don't talk like this in real life...
That is why I gave this series 5 stars and not more.
I managed to watch 4.5 chapters out of 7 before abandoning the series.
I was very disappointed of the director.
It seems that all he cares is money.
I remember that he had some good movies in the past, but this series is quite a disappointment.
I think that in this era of so many streaming companies offering big money for big shot directors, it was hard for him to say no for the big money he was offered.
Severance: The We We Are (2022)
All I have expected and more!
Spoiler alert!
I have already understood that the inners were a part of a clinic test and that their job inside has no meaning.
But to see that Helli was in it from the outside was obviously a shock and the tension of the episode was breathtaking.
The well written script made me think about so many dilemmas in human life and even laugh (or feeling compassionate, depends the point of view) about us, tv viewers as severances themselves. What an irony...
Can't wait for season 2.
Rick and Morty: Never Ricking Morty (2020)
Mix feelings
I watched thIs episode 3 times.
The second time in order to comprehend everything I have missed or didn't fully understand and the third time, after a few days, in order to reevaluate my thoughts about it.
I completely understood the storyline and the massage/s.
I'm not saying I didn't like it. As a massage/idea, it was brilliantly served.
I'm just saying that I'm disappointed that the writers chose to deal with that instead of serving the fans a good old cool and thrilling adventure like they used to.
I sincerely hope that there will be a few lovely adventures in the next episodes before the writers come back with one of those stories again...
We have waited to long and we deserve it.
Long live Rick and Morty😁
