It was 90's essence.
29 April 2023
People need to put themselves in 90's shoes and experience this as its own different flavor. This is cheesy, campy and not meant to get acting awards.

Everything is already done in cinema and CGI, so something with original essence is also well appreciated. This is truly respectful to the source material.

Although I would've wanted the return of Lord Zedd, Goldar and Finster. But there's just that much they could've done with the budget they got.

This is a little demanding, but as a fan, I would've wanted some interaction between Snizzard and Kimberly since she was the one that destroyed him in the original season by throwing her arrow in the apple above his head. I would've liked other monsters to show like the Terror Toad, the Eye guy.

This is made for the fans. It's a pity it was low budget but David carried this project on his own after years of dealing with Saban and now Hasbro. You can't ask more from those disgusting exploitative companies.

Good ratings are DAMAGE CONTROL
24 March 2023
These corporations and their PR teams...stop trying too hard. You're pathetic. We all know you guys craft all the positive reviews.

This show is utter garbage. Horrible acting, unrealistic storylines and ridiculous character profiles.

There were 3 of us in the couch and we all cringed on how writers like these can get away with scripts as heinous as these. You don't need to be a movie critic to identify a dumpster fire when you see one.

I couldn't pass the first episode. The arguments are ridiculous. Did the writers know how the real world works? This is for 7 year olds at best.

AVOID this try hard piece pos.

Gives me Sucker Punch memories. Love it!
21 February 2023
It's one of the those movies that you don't need to overthink. It's pure entertainment, plain and simple. That's why we watch movies anyway. This is how you do it. We don't need to shovel a bunch of unfinished storylines into a 2 hour movie.

Great visuals, great cast, compelling narrative and tons of action. I would definitely recommend and even watch it again.

It brought me memories of Sucker Punch which was intended to do the same thing back in 2011 but got also overcriticized and bashed for not being "deep enough". As time passes, people are starting to treat movies like Sucker Punch as cult classics and hopefully Gunpowder Milkshake is going to be treated as such too. People really need to take a chill pill and decompress. It doesn't have to be that deep. It's delicious brain candy.

Haters gonna hate
20 December 2022
I'm sure he will get all his boomer opposers seething. For those complaining about the how intense or dramatic the sound effects and music are, you have to understand that Hancock is not a professional or director or producer. He was more concerned about at least airing this audiovisual content ASAP before established forces hinder his endeavors.

I'm honestly in awe on how some viewers get to discredit this amazing piece of information by focusing on small production features. Who cares?!!. At the end of the day all that production fluff is an excuse to pass the content airing standards. Just listen to the information instead of seeing meaningless flaws.

The USA will never know what they missed in the 90's
31 July 2022
Before the times of corporate censorship, this glorious anime was aired unfiltered in Europe, Asia and Latin America in the mid 90's. It was real, violent, and raw, but it was filled with honest life lessons that every growing human should follow. It made us cry, smile, and feel excited about true justice.

The emotional display of the main cast and their diverse range of emotions made a unique take to masculine sensitivity.

This is a true cult classic for the millennial generation.

Lindsay Lohan: Rumors (2004 Music Video)

Still holds its ground to today's standards.
1 July 2022
The sequence edit is perfection as is the lighting effects, which even using dark with blue tones, manages to be inviting and seductive.

The choreography is simple enough for its target to mimic the steps and make them memorable.

Who would've guessed that such a shallow and exclusive theme for a song back in 2004, would be something that most people would relate to nowadays under the siege of invasive corporate surveillance.

Except for the devices advertised in the video, this video checks all the marks even for today's standards. I hope it gets remastered.

Why did they market it as a comedy?
28 June 2022
Everything feels real but Jonah Hill and Meryl Streep's characters. Their comedy portion felt a little forced and unrealistic.

Other than that, the whole narrative feels accurate, clever and nicely paced.

Creative concept. Boring execution.
20 June 2022
It's too tame for how macabre the theme is. It almost feels like it wants to belong to another audience but the argument ended up made for 9 year olds.

I want to like it but it's actually boring.

Gotta update the plot
13 June 2022
They need to rethink the plot. It's so underwhelming and convoluted all at once. The whole essence of the franchise it's not up to date to the Dinosaur facts in 2022. Please update the velociraptor name to Deinonychus, Dimetrodon was not a dinosaur and was still featured (at least they should've talked about it), Therizinosaurus stabbing the Giganotosaurus was a long reach, very unrealistic....also, most Dinos should've got updated to their original feathered versions... The hand thing is tired. Cut it out for once.

Exceptional concept
4 June 2022
Yes, this show is sexist. It has to be due to the concept and storyline. If you choose to be offended by the narrative you need a reality check.

Matter of fact, the female characters in the show are glorified for their womanhood and their range of emotions is represented with detail and respect.

It's deeper than just Zombies
1 February 2022
I'm on episode 6 and I'm hooked because of the drama with strong sociopolitical messages, not because of the zombies.

And Yes...it's long, but who cares? Why you want it to finish it so fast? Take a chill pill and be grateful it's as long as it is good too.

Also, for the animals that complain about having filler, guess what?, fillers are intended for character development and world-building support.

Voice acting is horrendous
16 August 2021
As a huge fan of the 90's Beast Wars, Im extremely disappointed with the voice acting.

I'm a fan of all the talk and slow paced development but the voicing has to be key for the engagement. There's no emotion no drama no real character.

I suggest you take notes from Latin American voice actors. They know how to give life to a character.

Too forced, messy and all over the place
15 June 2021
I'm all about being woke but this went off the hook delivering a forced wokefest gone wrong.

1. The main actress (Tamara Taylor) is way too good for the rest of the cast. She's the reason I kept watching it.

2. The family doesn't even look racially related (and before you call me r*cist, I'm a very mixed Latin with a lot of exposure to the topic)

3. Every 5 min look like we're on a different show. They tried to make it look suspenseful but the atmosphere is overshadowed by badly acted teen drama.

4. I felt bad about some of the (very few) monsters, they kinda had a further storylines and they just acted like nothing matters, just kill them.

That's it....save your time and don't watch it.

I love some Sailor Moon and Crayon Chin Chan references
25 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Jokes aside, I love the media exposure to these ancient Asian stories. I agree the building of the rocket was very forced story wise and a little introduction to how Chang'E developed her kingdom in the moon would've been helpful. There's so much you can add in the length of a movie nowadays with so much depth behind. I also would've prefered Chang'E's appearance to be more alienesque kind of reference to the Moonfolk/Soratami People where they were elongated pale humans with long bunny ears but you can't have everything. OTOH Chin was straight up Crayon Chin Chan with no butt showing.... :( very cool character though.
